  • "We set about 10 min before the waiter finally came to asked us what we wanted for drinks and have to ask if they have any bread because nothing was served. We spend about almost 2 hour before we had our main course. Way too long for dinner. The food was good but the wait time was too long between each course."

  • "We had friends coming in for the weekend and I had heard Bijoux was a very nice French restaurant. We were not disappointed. The Chef's tasting of anchovies was wonderful and I really wanted more! I started with the crab salad that was light and fresh. My husband had the 3 cheese plate and the Ballerina cheese was fantastic as were the other two. For the entree I had the grouper that was done to perfection and the vegetables were incredible. My husband had the fois gras and it was under cooked for him but good. We had a Grand marnier souffle for dessert that was totally incredible! Overall a great experience!"

  • "Our dining experience at Bijoux was fabulous. I had out of town friends and we dined Sat. night. We had to change our reservation from original booking - but the restaurant took care of it and we got in fine. Seated at a nice table - lining, flowers, etc. (I would like to see candlelight in the evenings) Comfortable seats and beautiful decor. Many choices and all are fantastic. I suggest anything with mushrooms at this restaurant - truffles are my fav. Wonderful service and presentation of each course. We got a chef treat as our intro which was lobster sauce with all kinds of goodies it it. Entrees were huge and desserts were amazing. One of my fav places in Dallas for 2 or more people. Self-pkng"

  • "We had the prawns for an appetizer and they were delicious. The Malbec was great. I had the grouper and my husband had the bass with the fennel both plates were great portions and tasted awesome. Then we had the soufflé for desert and I have been all over the world and this easily is the best soufflé I have ever tasted. Our service was also great. There is a reason that restaurant is on the top 100 list of Dallas best restaurant list."

  • "Four of us had dinner on a Saturday night using a TravelZoo coupon. We were promptly greeted and seated upon arrival. The room had a very pleasant buzz yet we could easily carry on a conversation...not always easy to find in Dallas. The food was terrific at our table; we had steak, fish and risotto as well as salads and appetizers. All were very good. Even better than the food was the outstanding service. One of our group mentioned that his food was too salty. His plate was promptly taken away and replaced with sincere apologies. Service was attentive without hovering and very professional."

We absolutely love the food--it's beyond phenomenal--and the great service and great atmosphere for romance make it even better. It's expensive, to be sure, but worth every penny, especially for a special occasion."

  • "For our Valentine's day date we came to Bijoux. It was the day after Valentine's and every table in the place was full, consistently. The service was a little slow but I believe that is related to how busy it was. The food was prepared well and perfect portions. This is a great place for a special occasion. Our dining experience lasted about 2 hours, a little lengthy in my opinion."

The issue we had was that the bar area is almost non existent and that our waiter doubled as the bar tender and for a restaurant in this category, I would think we have a dedicated server or at least one not doubling as a bartender. The dinner overall took 3 hours, which was nice but most of the reason was related to a 45min gap between the soup and main course, which I thought was a bit excessive especially when the overtaxed bartender/waiter didn't really check in between to ensure or set and expectation."

  • "I surprised my wife with a night out in Dallas, and chose Bijoux for our dinner reservations. The ambiance of the place is pleasant, although my back was to the door and with people coming and going, it got cold. However, that was made up by the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, who really helped make the evening a success. There were lots of little touches that made the night special, and the food was amazing. From the amuse bouche to begin, through the appetizers of roasted parsnip soup and arugula salad, to the mains of mushroom risotto and rib eye filet mignon, to the desserts of creme brulee and flourless chocolate cake, the food was magnificent. Served exquisitely and perfectly proportioned, it was a great mean and night!"

  • "We were immediately seated, but I was surprised by wait time to get a glass of wine, soup, appetizer, and entrée. The wait time in between seemed to be out of norm, for such highly recommended location. We actually wanted to cancel our dessert due to the time it took to receive our food, but we were told the wait time would not be as long as before. There was a "glitch" in computer system, so it seemed that was why our order took so long. It was frustrating though to see other people sitting down after us receiving appetizer and entrée before us, even though we had ordered at least 30 minutes before their arrival. Maybe it was a one time bad experience, but we are not going back."

  • "My wife and I recently dinned at Bijoux hoping for a new restaurant that we can attend regularly and eagerly look forward to sharing with family and friends. However, it appears this will not be the case with Bijoux. The perception created during our experience is that Bijoux went into the night expecting the vast majority of people eating on Valentine’s day would never be back. Higher prices on Valentine’s is expected, but lower food quality food is unacceptable. I really wanted to try the wagyu beef cheek or chateaubriand (neither offered on V-day), instead my only option was a "Prime Ribeye" steak that was exceedingly tough and tasted like low grade sirloin. Overall, I blame myself for trying this restaurant on Valentine’s day."

  • "First impressions are everything. Started with probably the worst bar I have ever experienced at a restaurant. Three seater in the back of the house. Bar tender must have been out because no one was tending and took us 10 minutes for someone to ask us if we needed anything. That was indicative of the service at Bijoux. Bread never came - finally someone asked us into the second course if we wanted any... Virtually impossible to get a water glass filled. Got my main entrée wrong. And that was the night in a nutshell."

  • "Billed as "most romantic" restaurant in Dallas....only if you maybe make it to the main dining room - and then I would call this a stretch. Our table was in the second dining room - the tables are extremely close - you can't help but be overheard by your neighbors (and visa versa)....not romantic at all!!! Wine list is below par for this type of restaurant...limited selections and nothing stellar. If you are a foodie - feel free...if this is a "special occasion" - skip it....disappointing."

  • "Bijoux is good for a special occasion, or maybe an important business meeting. From start to finish we enjoyed the service, our glasses where always full! If a piece of silverware happened to fall on the ground in a few moments you would have a new piece. The maitre d was very knowledgeable in all the wine and entree's. The ambience was peaceful with small touches of french decor. Every bite of food was rich in flavor, for the size of the portions, you would think " we have to stop and get snack on the way home." This was NOT the case, we left beyond full. We each tried something different on the menu and sampled from each other.'s. Everything was cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a try."

  • "We decided to have dinner here for Valentine's Day (2014) and while dinner wasn't bad, the food was just average. My husband had the rib eye and I had the veal- both were edible but nothing noteworthy or exceptional to warrant a visit back. There were also minor details that seemed to have been neglected: we were served with a bread basket but had to ask for a bread plate and butter knife. For a French restaurant, the wine list was limited of French wine and way too much average listings from California."

  • "We went here for my birthday dinner. The decor is more traditional, formal romantic. If you're looking for a "hip scene", this is not for you. Think white table clothes, quiet room, older patrons. I'm not being negative...if that's what you're in the mood for, it's a great place. It was exactly what we wanted. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and the service was very good. I especially liked the option for the small plate of a main course; it allowed us to each get two appetizer and a main dish. The foie gras was divine, but I would skip the split pea soup next time. We skipped desert and got a cheese plate instead, the la tur was delicious!"

But if you want to enjoy a relaxed quiet evening of fine French cuisine served by courteous and highly competent wait staff in a small and cozy place, Bijou should be on your short list. The menu is unique and has ample choices sure to please almost anyone who seeks continental French fare. Each selection is prepared to order. For the budget or calorie conscious, entrees are offered in either "Petite" or "Grande" portions and are priced accordingly. There is also a nice wine list, and the wait staff is quite knowledgeable should you need a good selection to pare up with your food."

  • "We were treated like KINGS. The food was unbelievably good. If you have the chance I think the beef cheeks were amazing. Also tasted the monk fish osso bucco and the steak. Presentation and service was perfection. We were almost there alone as Monday night was very slow. When we arrived ambient music was playing and the waiter was kind enough to change to some authentic French music. What service!!!"
