  • "Have dined here before, but this was a poor experience. Service was really poor. Waited for drink order. Our soup/salad took exactly 1 hour to come to the table. Entree another 35 minutes. Had to ask for bread, ice tea, more drinks. The tenderloin was overdone - dry! Portions on the small plates were very small - my sole couldn't have been more than 3-4 ounces. Felt I had to apologize to our guests for the sad experience."

  • "We had the chef's tasting menu with the wine pairings. It was pricey, but I can honestly say it was worth every penny. The vegetables were so fresh and tasty that I have trouble doing them justice. The wine pairings were great with each course. The executive chef came by and checked on us several times, and when we asked about an extra course before dessert, he put together a cheese plate for each of us. Do yourself a favor and find an excuse to visit."

It has the type of menu where you should enjoy being adventurous and/or have a knowledgeable waitperson. The menu is eclectic and there will be at least one ingredient you won't recognize in each dish. I like the location, the food, the ambiance so, for me, it's a great neighborhood restaurant."

  • "This place has truly good food and beautiful presentations. we had two appetizers, two different entrees, soup and 2 different desserts. every single dish was superb (except the flan, but what do you expect, it was flan) and the presentation was extravagant. I loved it. The portions are modest, so don't come here expecting a typical american feast. The Bijoux is a great spot."

  • "Just returned to Bijoux for the second time, this time to try the tasting menu. It was just as superb as our first visit! There were three in our party, and we all loved each & every course: from the pea soup to the skatewing to the foie gras to the lamb, right down to the pot de creme! The sauces on each course were superb with deliciously intense flavors, and each course served in a perfectly timed pace even though the restaurant was busy. This chef is a magician with food! But we do find that much of the charm for our evening continues to go to Maitre D' Edouard Barbaste, who is charming, attentive, knowledgeable and is a real asset to Bijoux! This is our new favorite restaurant and we can't wait for our next visit!"

  • "I consider Bijoux one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas, but my last trip was just alright - nothing fantastic. I had the prawns for an appetizer, filet for dinner, and baumkuechen for dessert. The prawns were great, but the the filet was tough and the cut of meat didn't seem as high quality as it usually is. I'd still go back, and I hope this filet experience is not their new normal. "

  • "A small and elegant restaurant, less than 2 dozen tables and a small bar area. Service was prompt but a bit distant. Food presentation was exceptional. The taste of the food, particularly my dover sole, was a little heavy handed with the salt. Overall a good high end restaurant, reasonably priced and tasty. Wines bottle prices were a bit on the high side."

  • "Went here with my wife for our Anniversary dinner. The service was excellent as expected in a place like this. The chef came to our table and introduced himself which was nice. My wife and I frequent places like this and I feel like I've gotten much better food for a bit less money elsewhere. That's not to say the food wasn't good. It was very good. I just don't think the food justified the price in this case. The ambience was nice and quiet and they had a solid wine list. One thing I loved was the team service attitude. All the folks who work there worked in a team and treated each customer well and managed the customer as a team rather than putting so much emphasis on just the server. "

  • "What an impressive evening we had a Bijoux. We were greeted by a very charming server with a beautiful accent -- exactly what you would hope for at a fine dining restaurant! We were immediately hugely impressed by the wine menu. It was perfectly sorted and offered all of our favorites. Since it was a special occasion we ordered a nice champagne, but there were definitely reasonable choices available. The food was absolutely impeccable: every dish better than the previous one. My only complaint is that I wish there were a salmon, chicken, lobster, or sea bass entree. I realize they can only offer so many entrees when the quality is as good as it is, but some coq au vin would be a great addition!"

  • "We went to Bijoux for the first time on Saturday for dinner, and it was very good -- and, with a few small changes, it would've been outstanding. First, the good news: the ambience was elegant yet casual, with a buzz of conversation but no loud and obnoxious frat boys. The service was attentive most of the time -- note to Scott: coffee cups should not long remain empty while diners are ending their dinners -- and the food was imaginative, expertly prepared and delicious. A few MINOR bits of not-so-good news: we thought the use of salt, particularly in the Yukon potatoes, was much too liberal, and the service was inconsistent throughout our meal. Overall, however, this was a lovely place with terrific food. We'll go again and again!"

  • "We had our first visit to Bijoux on Easter Sunday, having just relocated from Connecticut. It was fantastic, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The food was superb. There were three of us for dinner, tasting each other's choices, and could not pick favorites because everything was delicious. Edouard Barbaste was our Maitre D, and the service was superb! Attentive, helpful with suggestions, excellent descriptions of each dish, yet not intrusive. The dining room is romantic and intimate, and we can definitely see this as a special occasion destination, although we will be back often just for the wonderful experience! Hats off to the Bijoux chef and staff! We have a new favorite restaurant in Dallas! "

We spend about almost 2 hour before we had our main course. Way too long for dinner. The food was good but the wait time was too long between each course."

  • "We had friends coming in for the weekend and I had heard Bijoux was a very nice French restaurant. We were not disappointed. The Chef's tasting of anchovies was wonderful and I really wanted more! I started with the crab salad that was light and fresh. My husband had the 3 cheese plate and the Ballerina cheese was fantastic as were the other two. For the entree I had the grouper that was done to perfection and the vegetables were incredible. My husband had the fois gras and it was under cooked for him but good. We had a Grand marnier souffle for dessert that was totally incredible! Overall a great experience!"

I had the grouper and my husband had the bass with the fennel both plates were great portions and tasted awesome. Then we had the soufflé for desert and I have been all over the world and this easily is the best soufflé I have ever tasted. Our service was also great. There is a reason that restaurant is on the top 100 list of Dallas best restaurant list."

  • "Our dining experience at Bijoux was fabulous. I had out of town friends and we dined Sat. night. We had to change our reservation from original booking - but the restaurant took care of it and we got in fine. Seated at a nice table - lining, flowers, etc. (I would like to see candlelight in the evenings) Comfortable seats and beautiful decor. Many choices and all are fantastic. I suggest anything with mushrooms at this restaurant - truffles are my fav. Wonderful service and presentation of each course. We got a chef treat as our intro which was lobster sauce with all kinds of goodies it it. Entrees were huge and desserts were amazing. One of my fav places in Dallas for 2 or more people. Self-pkng"

The room had a very pleasant buzz yet we could easily carry on a conversation...not always easy to find in Dallas. The food was terrific at our table; we had steak, fish and risotto as well as salads and appetizers. All were very good. Even better than the food was the outstanding service. One of our group mentioned that his food was too salty. His plate was promptly taken away and replaced with sincere apologies. Service was attentive without hovering and very professional."
