If you do get the Chef's dinner for $200 a piece plan to go to get something to eat after. Honesly, a five course dinner that consisted of five bites of food. One was three carrots from the chefs private garden, we thought they where kidding, this chef needs some fertilizer, I don't even think you could call it a carrot. The table next to us with the screaming two year old, really, at a restuarant like this. If you want to go eat in that area go to Rise, it is next door and awesome! This chef needs to come down to earth and realize his food is not worth it!!

This is something Dallas can use more of: an intimate, well staffed spot where you can actually hear what your dining mates are saying. Impeccable service, wonderful menu choices with near-perfect execution. Good wine list and ample wines per glass selection. Big hit: shrimp appetizer. Slight mis-hit: perfectly cooked scallops were overly salted. But still a great experience.

  • Good experience but could be better

For a double birthday dinner we had selected the chef's room tasting menu. While the quality of each meal was acceptable, nothing was really "inoubliable". One thing I will try to forget is the ridiculously small size of the portion. Some items described in the menu were even missing in action - The trio of veal was only a duo, with an excellent but only a tablespoon size sweetbread! The wine pairing was outstanding with some really nice finds and the portion served by our hostess were more than acceptable (dedicated driver recommended!). The service was perfect from start to end. Overall an interesting dinner but the microscopic portions diminish the value of this experience. We may give another try, someday, but "a la carte" this time.

  • Great birthday celebration!

I celebrated my birthday with my boyfriend at Bijoux. It was fabulous. The service was very attentive and classy. The food was beautifully-prepared and explained thoroughly by the waitstaff with just the right amount of flourish. The pace was perfect, with each course coming out at the right time following the one previously; just enough time in between to relax and enjoy each other's company. In all, I would highly-recommend it to anybody visiting Dallas as a great spot to enjoy some inventive food. Dallas is a bit lacking in truly-inventive food, and Bijoux gives it a great go.

This has long been a Dallas favorite and will continue to be so. The A la carte menu with half servings should also make it easier to sample more dishes besides making the tab easier on the wallet.

We made a reservation through Open Table for Bijoux - The Chef's Room. This was our first time to make a reservation there. What we didn't know is that this is separate reservation from The Bioux. When we arrived, the manager had to get involved in our discussion because they had us reserved for the Chef's Room, which is a special tasting room menu. They were able to accommodate us after a lengthy discussion. So, when making reservations there, you should be very aware of the differences. The Bjoux is a separate reservation from Bijoux - The Chef's Room. The prices vary greatly also.

Bijoux allowed my wife to celebrate her birthday during Restaurant Week with the tasting course as opposed the week's special menu. Each dish was prepared well and the chef has creative ideas bringing flavors together. The chef's wife is the sommelier and we did the premium wines that were paired perfectly!

Outstanding food and great service. The Chef's Room only has 6 or so tables, only half of which were occupied during our dinner. The Chef's menu offers a standard 5- or 6-course option or a 5-course vegetarian option. My wife and I opted for the standard menu with wine pairings, and after that the fun began. The service was spot-on, the sommelier was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Will definitely be back again, and not just for a special occasion.

  • Excellent Place for an Anniversary

Wonderful dinner to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary. We did both the regular and vegetarian tasting menus in the Chef's room. There was only one other party in the Chef's room when we got there and left by our 2nd course, so we had a very private, quiet, romantic dinner. Every course was unique, outstanding and had great presentation. Thomas and Mauricio provided outstanding service
