Thanks to all for a great meal.
Creative and consistently good."

It is EXTREMELY small, so noise
can be a problem if very busy- but on week nights only 1/2 of tables full-better environment. (experienced dinning on both a Sat & a Wednesday night) Vero Beach is home to many older, hard of hearing folks who tend to "shout" at each other-especially evident when you have 2 elderly couples at both tables on either side of you... UGH! ( not any fault of Bijou-just a fact of life when dining out in most of FL) But most importantly- LOVE LOVE LOVE THE FOOD- The service is flawless!"

This was our second time dining at
Bijou. The first visit was outstanding. Everything was fresh and delicious. The second visit was very good. Both visits, we ordered off of the early dining menu which is an appetizer and entree for about $16. The servings are plentiful. As a matter of fact, we ordered the escargot tart that sounded amazing. It was good, but not outstanding. However, it was huge. The appetizer alone would've been enough for lunch. The service and presentation of the food here is top notch and we'll go back a third time."

In general, in an area full of
mediocre restaurants, this place does stand out. However, there were a few misses. The salads were tasty, but way over dressed. The fish with truffle oil and honey had way to much honey. And the waiter was way too zealous ! I would return as I think the food is interesting. The sashimi appetizer was outstanding!"

The biggest drawback (and this is
not a deal breaker!) is the noise level! The earlier the dinner the quieter."
Dined on 3/26/2014
Amazing food, great service. Love
sitting near kitchen...much quieter'"

From the minute you walked in the
door you felt welcome. The service was impeccable and the staff anticipated our every need .It is impressive that they offer samples. The suggested wine pairing was right on. The menu items were creative and the presentation was attractive. Everything was delicious. For a party of six the long table and noise level made conversation difficult. We look forward to returning."

Best food I've had in Vero Beach
in the 15 years I've lived here. Creative without being overdone. Flavours perfectly melded. The Chef's table offers "dinner and a show"! Absolutely loved it!"
Dined on 3/15/2014
A great combination European and
american atmosphere. Intimate and fine dining"
Dined on 3/13/2014
A variety of wines and price
ranges. The homemade rolls with a herbal hint were good. The pork belly with a blueberry sauce was delicious, and the salmon tatare was superb. The fried snapper with pineapple risotto did not work. The fish was rubbery and overwhelmed by the pineapple & the accompanying sauces made it overly sweet. The surf and turf was an ordinary , stringy braised beef with two or three sautéed scallops thrown in. The chocolate bombe was quite good, the creme brûlée was inexcusable. The custard overcooked and full of air holes, the too-thick layer of flamed sugar was burnt, slightly bitter and stuck to your teeth. Given bijou's reputation, the major lapses in basic culinary practice are troubling and need to be noted."
Dined on 3/12/2014
Our only disappointment was the
lack of an espresso and cappuccino maker. To have enjoyed the great food up to this point and then find that the restaurant could not provide an espresso or cappuccino was a big disappointment. They used to have one but it got taken away. Bad decision! With so many great restaurants in VB, this will affect our decision to return. Too bad."
Dined on 3/12/2014
The meal was perfection from the
first course escargot in puff pastry; to the main course sliced duck breast in pear sauce with sweet potato/pecan puree and baby spinach with garlic; to the dessert - peanut butter bread pudding with mixed berry compote and peanut brittle. All served beautifully with artistic flair and terrific service. Can't wait to go back!!! Husband's steak and french fries (the best ever-crisp and hot) also tops!"
Dined on 3/7/2014
Excellent menu with everything
cooked to perfection! Tables are close and noise level high but worth it!"
Dined on 3/7/2014
Food selections for 1st and 2nd
course wonderful. Local fish fresh off the boat, service attentive."
Dined on 3/1/2014
From beginning to end the meal was
fabulous! The restaurant is small so reservations are a must! Mike, our server, was friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful dinning experience and we will definitely return!"
Dined on 2/26/2014
We were greeted very warmly to
this small restaurant of simple elegance. Very attentive staff but not at all intrusive. My spinach salad was different and delicious, as was my salmon entree. The three of us wished we had appetite left for dessert, but we all agreed that the coffee was exceptionally good. We will be back!"
Dined on 2/25/2014
This was a perfect date night.
Service was excellent from start to finish. Tried duck for the first time and was pleased. would highly recommend!!"

We wanted to try Bijou, and since
they were fully booked for Valentine's Day we decided to go the night before. We met friends there who were in the same boat! The menu we'd seen online had just changed the day before, but there still several entrees that were hard to choose between. I would say that the chef is inventive without being fussy, and everything we had was quite tasty."
Dined on 2/13/2014
The food was very good. Our
waiter, Stephen was fantastic. A memorable evening."
Dined on 2/11/2014
We just returned from a week in
Vero Beach, and by a long shot - Bijou was the best meal by far. The Rustic Oyster Stew was unlike anything experienced previously, and the Short Ribs literally melted in your mouth. With terrific service from Stephen, and his knowledgable wine suggestions (always with a taste to confirm), this was by far the most sophisticated and enjoyable restaurant we visited. The other places we went just didn't have a professional feeling, and the food and service were mediocre to poor. Just google the top Vero restaurants and that's where we went. Save yourself the trouble and go to Bijou straightaway."
Dined on 2/8/2014
One of our favorites on Vero. My
wife and I really like this place. From the time you walk in the door until you leave all the staff makes you feel like they are glad you came in. In addition the food is fantastic. We both had the pork rib eye (neither of us had ever had this cut before). Wow! It was delicious and melted in your mouth. Accompanied by a good red wine it hot us ready for the dessert. A "chocolate dome" accompanied by homemade toffee. We will return before we leave town."
Dined on 2/7/2014
Food was excellent and our server
gave excellent service. Only complaint would be the confusion over the entrance. Sign stated "open" but doors were locked. We did eventually find our way but a simple sign would help."
Dined on 2/6/2014
Dinner for 4 to celebrate a
birthday. The food was imaginative and delicious. Our waiter was a bit snarky but overall experience was good."
Dined on 2/4/2014
Exquisitely prepared entrees,
beautifully presented. We had 4 different entrees and all were top notch: duck, strip steak, pork and flounder. The parsnip/green apple soup was among the most flavorful soups I've ever tasted. Friendly, attentive service. This experience surpassed many of the more traditional Vero Beach fine dining spots."
Dined on 1/29/2014
We enjoy the food and watching the
cooks...plan on making it a regular stop"
Dined on 1/2/2014
The service was outstanding and so
was the food. We will be back soon."
Dined on 1/25/2014
We enjoyed Bijou very much. They
do an amazing job in a limited space. Food was interesting considering this is a French cuisine restaurant ... i.e. their signature dish is a steak dish and our appetizer was Asian influence. But we loved that! We will return again and again."
Dined on 1/24/2014
One word describes it all from
atmosphere to service and especially the food...FABULOUS!, we will go back hopefully sooner than later."
Dined on 1/22/2014
We had a nice time. Service great
when we arrived but we waited endlessly for our entre to come. My dinner was delicious and attractive but too long a wait. The evening lost its rythum."
Dined on 1/21/2014
We dine in some of the finest
restaurants in NYC and this little gem is up there with any,of them"
Dined on 1/17/2014
This was our first visit. Our
table was ready on time. We enjoyed an appetizer, salad and main courses. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Food was nicely presented and had good temperature and flavor. We had a nice Sancerre to accompany the meal. The space is small, which is nice, but doesn't seem cramped. We'd recommend Bijou to folks in this part of Vero Beach."
Dined on 12/31/2013
My wife and I have dined at Bijou
twice now, and both experiences were excellent. The food was beautifully prepared and just delicious! The wait staff were attentive and very accommodating in every way. Now one of our favorite places in Vero!"
Dined on 1/7/2014
This was my first time at the
Bijou and it was very enjoyable. The menu is limited but with excellent choices and the waiters are there and waiting to answer any questions and/or make suggestions. The wine list was sufficient with many more choices by the glass than you usually find. The Monk fish and pork were fantastic, a friend had a steak dish which she said melted in her mouth. Then for the dessert which I had one similar to a bread pudding which was aswome. Long story short we were very satisfiec with the food, service and ambience."
Dined on 12/21/2013
I would not have known about this
fantastic restaurant had it not been for a friend giving me a gift certificate. The food was an A++, a bit noisey (Just one very loud voice in the room that overpowered our conversation). The service was very good. I would definately recommend, and will go back!! What a great dining treat!!"
Dined on 12/20/2013
From the moment we were seated,
the service was very attentive. Everything we ate was wonderful, a real culinary treat"
Dined on 11/29/2013
Everything excellent but the noise
level is intolerable. Get tables 10 and 11 for less noise"
Dined on 11/20/2013
Would have been great but one of
our diners had a fishy taste ing grouper. All else was excellent."
Dined on 11/15/2013
The food was wonderful, service
was helpful and the wines excellent. This was our second time there, almost better than the first, which was hard to do."
Dined on 11/13/2013
The food here never disappoints!
Great menu and dependable quality food. Charming neighborhood setting. We keep coming back. It is one of our top choices in Vero Beach."
Dined on 10/30/2013
Really relaxing spot, with super
friendly staff and chefs and interesting scrumptious food!"
