A word from Big View Restaurant and Bar
It's all about family.
Big View was designed to make you feel right at home. Come casual, make yourselves comfortable! Big View always means big value.
A classic diner menu with a full breakfast under $5. Menu items as low as $2.99. Almost nothing over $12.
The kind of prices New York, Philly and Baltimore diners used to have, plus advantages they never had. Like gorgeous retro modern decor, food made by real chefs from all natural ingredients, vegetarian options, and a kids' menu with healthy choices.

My favorite restaurant since we moved here. We had valentine dinner for 2, 1 appetizer, 2salad, 2entree, and dessert at the end. The price was incredibly reasonable, for this much volume of plates. The grilled mahi mahi was seasoned and grilled just right, and Marsala steak was tender and juicy as always. Of course, we had to have our balsamic vinaigrette salad. Every new dish I try, I love it.

After one visit to Big View DIner, I'm a fan. I had brisket and it was very good. My table-mates raved about their food as well (fish tacos, and a mushroom-swiss burger). Nice atmosphere and furnishings.

Even though I checked "Brunch" this place doesn't really have what you would actually call a brunch but there breakfast selections are very good. I usually get the eggs benedict and it has been very good each time. Service has been good also on each visit.

We have started eating Breakfast every Sunday morning before Church at Big View. We try to sit in Kristin's section because she is so lively and has a bubbly. She takes great care of us. The food is irresistible. We have a hard time choosing because everything is so good. We Love Big View Diner.

The air conditioning was not working very well and that is the only reason I gave a poor rating on the ambiance. With the outdoor temperatures setting records and many a/c systems having issues I can't hold that against them. Food was awesome. We will go back! Best onion rings I have ever had!

The food wasn't very good. My wife ordered "Thanksgiving Diner", which she described as "tastes like Thansgiving at camp". I had a steak sandwich and fries; the fries tasted like they were reheated and the steak was dry and overlooked.

We eat here a lot. We always enjoy it, using open table for this restaurant is worth it because there is always a wait when we go, which we forgo by using OT. This visit was for brunch. We got there after the breakfast menu ended (11AM), but my challah french toast was still offered which is why wen went there. The corned beef hash my husband gets is always yummy. Definitely our favorite casual place in the neighborhood! We will back!

The Big View diner is always busy on the weekends and worth the brief wait, even with a reservation. The food is very good, large portions, and just what you think a diner should be. The service here was fantastic and the food was eclectic and flavorful. I honestly had a tough time deciding what to order but I ultimately went with the Waldorf Chicken Salad and it was easily in my top.10 for best salads ever. We had two children in tow and they had a large number of healthy options for them and were willing to get reasonably creative there. Overall we were thrilled with the experience and being new to the area it already feels like it may just be our new go-to location. Also - they did honor the open table reservation without any issues.

They didn't honor their reservation time. This is the second time we have tried to book a reservation using OPen Table at the Big View Diner and both times it was like we didn't have a reservation at all. It was only after waiting about 15 minutes and having 6 "walk in parties" be seated ahead of us that we asked if our reservation meant anything to them, that we finally were seated. In all of our OPen Table experience this is only the second restaurant that did not honor their reservation time.

We arrived just in time to order brunch, as the kitchen changes over to lunch at noon. This was our first time here and we were hoping to find a good Sunday brunch option, as some of our other favorites are closed. Food was typical for a breakfast diner, nothing fancy but everything was familiar. The waffle with strawberries and whipped cream was declared "amazingly great." Service was fast and friendly.

The restaurant's food is outstanding. You won't go away disappointed. The service is fast (but not fast food fast which is a good thing). The cakes and cookies (ice cream too) are really a treat. THANK GOD WE MADE A RESERVATION! My husband & I had never eaten here before & went on a Sunday after church. Apparently this is the place to eat lunch on a Sunday because it was packed when we arrived. After a few minutes we were seated. It's quite a large place; it has a bar set up separate of the dinning room w/nice TV's for football & another part for large groups. We decided to have the mini corn dogs as an appetizer & they were really good w/the dijon mustard dip they served it with. We had a Reuben with the sweet potato fries & the flank steak sandwich with their normal fries. The food was quite good & we would recommend it. The server did a poor job w/refills & took 15-25 mins to get us our check. We didn't stay to talk to a mgr.

Big View recently changed their menu and now offer much more choices. I think the new menu is great! We went for dinner on a Saturday evening. My friend ordered the brisket and I ordered the Spinach pie. We shared a bit of each. Brisket was nice and tender. Not cut in slices/strips like other places. Theirs was more like three thick rectangles. The spinach pie with Greek salad was excellent too. Just like the one that they serve at Ilios Noche, one of the owner's other restaurants. For dessert we ordered a slice of strawberry cheesecake to split. It was to die for!!

Wonderful place for a first date or a first anniversary. The food is well priced, presented beautifully, and served with a smile and prompt attitude. The patio is a must for cool summer nights and perfect for a first date. We loved our server & hostess and couldn'th ave been happier with the food selection. We'll definitely make this a regular spot as it's got booths for cozy conversations and tables for more of the get-together attitude with friends, but still able to offer a sociable setting with the bar and patio area. Great restaurant.

Yummy homestyle cooking! Big View has everything you want in a diner experience: great comfort food and lots of it. But Big View takes that homeyfamiliar comfort food and kicks it up with more of a gourmet twist.
