Initially was one of the most popular and consistent spots for businessmen, young professionals and groups. While the facility is still a good location and in good condition, both the service and overall food quality has taken a step back. Hope they can recover!

I hosted a dinner for our church's Bishop. Included were our priest, the church council, and spouses. Everyone, including His Grace, raved about the food. My wife is not known as a seafood lover, but has twice mentioned that she would like to Big Fish again.

Great seafood for downriver. Hard to find a nice seafood restaurant without having to drive a long way. I do wish they would have fresh lobster though. Kind of a bummer to find out they do not.

Our whole experience was disappointing because the airconditioning was blasting. Usually I am always the one who is never cold but on 9/4 the airconditioning was so cold that even I was chilled--we hurried through what was supposed to be a leisurely meal--so that our food would be as cold as we were. We said something to our waitress but we do not believe anything was done about it. Had another incident with the bill --which could have been avoided. Left a bad impression with our guests who were visiting Big Fish for the first time.

I can walk to the Big Fish, but it is so run down and tired I tend to venture to other seafood houses. The food and service are very uneven. But I still will go there for the convince. I know they are trying to keep it up. But spending $100 on a meal there hurts. If the company doesn't care to fix the place up then why should I continue to support it. This is a case where the company seems to think you will dine there no matter what they do or not do. I would expect more than this from Landry Restaurants. They Can't be very proud of this location.

I went there to celebrate my birthday as I have been doing for the past 3 years. I must say, the service was exceptional from the time I entered the door until I left. I even had a special menu made with my name. I ordered the same dish as always; Cape Codder Salad which was supposed to have blue cheese, but had none and the Salmon Rockefeller which is described on the menu as having Crab, spinach & bacon; baked under a Parmesan crust. I enither saw nor tasted any crab or bacon. I asked my waiter about it and he assured me it was in there. I ate less than a 1/3 of it because in addition to the lack of meat, it also had very little if any flavor. Quite disapoointed.

I wrote a review after our last visit. At that time, it was awesome. Awesome!! What a difference. We took my inlaws to dinner on Saturday 8/16. Our server told us she was new and I honestly think she was overwhelmed. She was very nice, but disappeared a lot. As a former server myself, I understand, but we ran out of things and when she did glance our way, we had to flag her down. My husband and I ordered the filet. Medium. The outside was covered in charcoal when it arrived at the table and it was way overcooked. Thank God the manager happened to come by and overheard us. She took our food away. When it came back 20 minutes later, it was raw. Raw! The potatoes were awful. She took them off the bill, but the damage is done. Won't be back.

Our waitress was very attentive but not interfering. She knew when to appear and when to leave us alone. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

The menu has a good, well-rounded selection on it. While it is a seafood restaurant, it has plenty to sate those who aren't interested in seafood. Prices can range from $7 to $30, with most entrees sitting around the $20 mark. Service was outstanding.

I selected this restaurant for a first date. We dined outside and it was a gorgeous day. The server was very personable and attentive. The food was very good (although the Perch needed more salt). The Walleye was my favorite. My date was interesting and enjoyable. This was the perfect spot for meeting the first time.

I have eaten at Big Fish many times when I was travelling on business over the years, and it was always good food with pleasant staff and great service. Now retired, I decided to meet with some old friends for a lunch date. I had requested a quiet area, which we did get. Service was very slow, which was not too bad as we were not in a rush, but worst of all, the server was "Miserable", and not a happy person. Hardly broke a smile the whole time. I had also received a 10% discount voucher which I had given her, but after receiving the check, found it had not been discounted. Reminded her of the voucher, and she reran the bill. Manageress did apologize for the slow service. Overall, very disappointing. I really struggled with leaving a tip.

We were in Detroit and picked Big Fish because it was on Open Table. We sat outside on the patio as it was a pleasant evening. Our food was excellent and the service was very good. I had the white fish and my wife had the salmon. Both were excellent. The salads were very good and the biscuits were excellent. Big Fish has quite a nice wine list although the waiter did not seem to be highly knowledgeable about the wines. The dessert was excellent also, it was a chocolate cake with l;ayers of mousse, I am not sure what it was called. The restaurant was a little noisy because there were a couple of parties going on but not bad. All in all were quite pleased and will dine there again when we are bak in the area.

This was an unexpected find. As I am from the East Coast, I did not know what to expect. I decided to give this a try hoping for the best but not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. The fish was fresh, well prepared and beautifully presented. This is a great place for seafood. If you are in the Detroit area, it is a "must try."

We got to the restaurant early and were able to take advantage of their sunset dinner. Great buy - includes salad/soup, entree and dessert (a super key lime pie) for only $16.99. However, the whitefish was tasteless, the salmon was served medium (ordered medium rare) and the server goofed on one of the entree's sides. Other than the dessert, it was a very mediocre dinner.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner June 28th at Big Fish. It exceeded our expectations. I was especially pleased with the East Meets West Tuna appetizer. The tartar came with a Wasabi Cream and Plantains next to it and Ahi slices in between Avacado slices with a slaw beside it. You found yourself mixing together all the different tastes and wanted more. I didn't want to give back the plate! We had Crab Stuffed Sole and Stuffed Shrimp for our mains and they were perfectly cooked and presented very well. The Lemon Butter sauce on the Sole stayed together until the last bite. Very good chef. Those who work in his kitchen should feel fortunate. The meal was our wedding dinner and we got personalized menus to keep. Fill this house up!

I have said this over and over again. I only hope that the leaders at Landry Restaurants are reading this. Your Restaurant is old, tired and not very clean. You can clean the carpet every week but that is not enough. How can you expect us to frequent your establishment and spend Hundreds of dollars and you do not care about the place. I can walk to Big Fish but I will drive the extra 20 miles to go to M&S because it is a Landry Restaurant. But soon I will never go back to Big Fish unless something is done to improve the place.

Are at Big Fish while in Dearborn and it was very good. My husband and I try to live a healthy live style so restaurants that offer fish options always appeal. My husband ordered whitefish and I had snapper and both were delicious. We ordered them broiled and they were cooked perfectly. The accompanying vegetables were firm and tasty, not at all mushy like some others places where we have eaten The food is good, well prepared and basic ; it fit the bill for us. It was family friendly but might be more costly than an average family would want to spend if you have hungry teenagers

I have eaten at the Big Fish many times and would rate those experiences excellent. However, my last dining experience, was not as pleasant. The hostess seated us right next to the kitchen and we could hear so much banging, clatter, bowls falling etc. It was very distracting and a major traffic path. When I requested a booth, the hostess stated none were available despite many tables and booths being open. Also, the food was not to the standards of Big Fish - our fish was over cooked making it dry. The salads and dessert were of their higher quality.
