"had a parsnip bisque that was outstanding! my whole meal was fantastic--my first wine pour, for an $11 glass of pinot nior, was a little shy, but my second glass was a little more generous--also had a fresh fish of the day, halibut, that was firm and fresh and had a tasty perfect sauce with it, had a gorgonzola apple onion pizza--crust was fabulous--service was very attentive at first, got a little slow as the restaurant filled up, but understandable--food for this little Excelsior find--would be way worth your trip out to the Lake."

"we heard they had a chef change and its not as good now. bummer. the mussels were fishy. my tuna was just "ok" at best. hope they change back to the way it used to be... bummer."

"If you want to have a wonderful meal, great service and then take a short walk to the public pier on Lake Minnetonka to watch the sunset, go to Biella. It is by far the best restaurant in Excelsior."

"The food was perfect. Had the appetizer special Octopus and it was so tender and delicious. Then I had the fish special Wahoo that was fabulous and the vegetables served with the fish were different, purple potatoes and other unique items that were just scrumptious. Then came dessert a bread pudding with dark chocolate and vanilla bean gelato, all I can say maybe I should of had dessert first, it was to die for! All made in house. Hats of to the Chef!"

"The atmosphere was warm, decor was intriguing and inviting. It was nice to have the option to have half an order, especially when you have an appetizer. We were all able to try something different to get the larger experience of the restaurant because of that. Also enjoyed the fact that the menu wasn't so huge that it was difficult to make a decision on what to eat. There was enough of a variety on the menu that you didn't wish for more."

"Nice local restaurant, Italian/American with a nice selection, and a few fresh fish specials. The table was ready on time. Good service. The food was well prepared. It can be a little noisy when crowded, but that gives an energetic feel, but can make it difficult to carry on a conversation in a larger group. Good for groups of 4 or perhaps 6."
