  • "This was my first time to Biagio's and definitely not my last! We were greeted by a very warm and friendly waiter who seated us immediately. He took great care of us and was very personable. Our food came quickly and was great! They had no problem accommodating our requests to change sauces on the entrees we ordered and our dessert was amazing and accompanied by complimentary lemoncello. I will without a doubt return to this restaurant!"

  • "Biagio's has a relaxed, homey atmosphere, but don't let that fool you; it serves great modern Italian food. Went twice for girls night out ( with two different groups), and both times the service was impeccable, and the food delicious .Appetizers were great , especially the spinach crepes. We are fish lovers, so we ordered either a shrimp dish, salmon, or the fish special of the day- all presented very beautifully, large portions, and everybody raved about the taste of the food. Save some space for dessert, the lemoncello custard is great.Will definitely go back."

My daughter recommended the restaurant because it was close to her home. None of us had ever eaten there. Food was delicious. Service was great. Ambiance very nice. a little pricey. But comparable to Westchester County"

  • "Excellent cheese plate (burrata!) with roasted peppers,sautéed mushrooms & olive oil, light fried calamari, & orrechette w/sausage & broccoli rabe that is second to none. I really want to dock a star because the bread was not fresh (definitely reheated) but since all the really important food was amazing I won't quibble. We closed the place down & were never rushed or made to feel we overstayed our welcome. One thing I found awkward is the lobby is nondescript, & it's not clear which door to enter as there doesn't seen to be an obvious hostess station. We were met by a man in the vestibule who hurriedly waved us into the restaurant & kept walking away from us before we'd hung our coats. Would def return for delish Italian meal!"

  • "This is my third or fourth time going to the restaurant. This time was not the best. As always the food is excellent. The problem was how it started. I made a 3:30 reservation through open table. The website says hours start at 4 on Sunday which i was not aware of until writing this review so not sure why I was able to make the reservation. My wife and I showed up and there were two baby showers going on so we had to walk through the party to try and find someone to help us. There was nobody around. Then we did see all the employees eating and after a few minutes they decided to help us. They were shcoked we had a reservation. They rushed and made up a table. No apology. Food was excellent"

  • "Nothing to say negatively about this sensational spot 1/4 mile from Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford. Food was fabulous, as was the presentation. Highly professional waitstaff. Great for Valentine's Day dinner. The only potential negative is that the tables are close together, but that wasn't a problem when we went because it was during a snow storm and not all the tables were filled. We'll be back often and will bring friends."

  • "We are longtime customers of Biagio's and to Biagio's credit the food is consistently excellent as is the service. This little gem of a place is in a strip mall but, the atmosphere is also very nice....small, a little tight but nice! There has been some turnover in staff and the new servers are excellent as are the bus staff. the food is always beautifully presented and the quailty is tops. How often do you see a chef owner walking through the restaurant checking on things and talking with the guests? I think that is important. One of the best restaurants in all of CT."

  • "After a visit to Biagio's in 2010, been trying randomly to stop in for dinner. Unfortunately, we don't go out to eat much recently and it is always last minute. The restaurant must be doing well because without a reservation, it was impossible to get a table. But our anniversary was approaching and a good meal was deserved! I used OpenTable to reserve our table and it was worth the 4 years to get back here! Food and service was incredible! The courses were all plated beautiful and the baby spinach salad with the warm pear and goat cheese was exquisite. Can't wait to go back again, but not waiting as long this time!"

  • "My partner and I recently moved to Stratford and are big foodies. My stepfather did some research online and gave us a gift certificate to Biagio's for Christmas. We both agreed he made an excellent choice for us. I didn't give anything 5 stars because we've been to restaurants that have blown us away and Biagio's didn't do that. However, we will definitely go back as the food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. The place is small and packed tight, very European-feeling, which I liked. We had the squash raviolis to start, and the shrimp entree and the ossabucco for dinner. All of it was delicious but I will say that our favorite part may have been the bread! Came with amazing bruschetta and bean hummus. Vinny was a great server!"

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for a second time this past weekend because we both enjoyed our entrees so much our first visit. This time didn't let us down in that area either. We enjoyed everything from the bread to our appetizers and then to our entrees. The only thing we didn't think was amazing was the dessert. Between the two times we have been here, we have gotten three different dessert that we weren't impressed about. I personally love dessert, but all were just mediocre to us. Overall, the service and food were great though! Can't wait to go back again!"

The meals are both beautiful and delicious as well as creative. Top it all off with a fair price and you have a true winner.   • "We were immediately greeted by the maître de at the door & given a choice of tables to dine at. We sat in the porch area which had a fire going. They had a tuna tartare & avocado salad special which we ordered for an appetizer along with the broccoli rabe & sausage. Both were fantastic, rich with flavor but not heavy. Our entrees: gnocchi with veggies & pesto cavatelli with chicken. They were equally delicious & well conceived dishes. The only reason I can't give a full 5 stars was the desserts were not perfect; the creme brûlée was well toasted on the outside, but watery inside & the Mille was "too crunchy." Other than that the service was very attentive & the whole experience was great. I would definitely recommend it to friends."
