We have been to this restaurant several times and always impressed with the food and service. The waiter's always go out of there way to be friendly and welcoming. We went on valentine's day 2014 and we're extremely disappointed in the service and food. It was more crowded than usual, but that is no excuse to cut corners. This restaurant has quickly dropped from one of my favorite restaurant in the city.

The set up of the place was a little too formal without really anything interesting in terms of the decor, but the appetizer and the main (I had the veal) were both delicious! The dessert was a little dry for my liking but the wine was great. Overall, a nice experience for the five of us that went!

We were four twenty year olds that went for dinner and we were treated very poorly all night. The owner looked at my boyfriend and said I hope you are not paying for dinner you don't look like you can afford it. The server also put a half bowl of Parmesan cheese on my friends plate and ruined his meal. They were very rude to us and we would never return.

always feel comfortable taking friends and acquaintances to this Italian fine dining restaurant, in St Lawrence Market area of downtown Toronto. Staff attentive, service professional and still friendly. Servers willing to give advice, including 'wine pairing'; they have a serious wine list (according to my a colleague who I recently shared a meal last week

First time at this restaurant lately and the experience was wonderful. the servers were all Italian and had worked at the restaurant for years. They explained the menu thoroughly and made wine suggestions. The owner Biagio came around several times to check on the food and service and was a nice touch. thoroughly enjoyable evening.

$28 for soggy pasta? $12 for mixed greens? Almost makes the $45 rack of lamb seem like a steal. The servers were nice, though, and being a Monday night it was VERY quiet. Wish we could have come in the summer to sit on the patio. It is probably much nicer then. My rack of lamb was great, though. I had a $100 voucher that I paid $50 for, so I ended up spending $77 in total (after tax+tip), meaning it would have been a $137 meal for 2 with nothing other than water, 1 soup, 1 salad, 1 pasta and rack of lamb. Not at all worth it in my books.

We had a very bad experience at this place. We found a 7 inch piece of plastic in our food & they were not taking care of the situation. They did not try to make us happy in any way. They should have asked what they can do to make it up. At least offer us dessert, coffee, something/anything. They need to learn what customer service is. I understand things happen but you need to make it up any way u can when I find plastic in my food. Imagine if I had made a scene about the food - every one would have left the place. Not good for business. Our waiter also gave us attitude about the situation. Now he can deal with this.

I went there with my friends for Summerlicious. My only regret is that I did not go there sooner. I loved the service staff there. You can tell they have been doing this a long time and they are very professional. I had the shrimp risotto which was amazing. My friend who is a foodie and a great Italian cook herself was also thoroughly impressed. The best part was the dessert. I had the cheesecake that was wrapped in a thin phyllo pastry and baked, so the cheesecake was warm inside with a few pieces of melted chocolate inside as well. (my mouth was watering as I typed that). It was literally the best cheesecake I ever had. I am going back again soon so my husband can get a taste of all this too.

The service was good but a little over-attentive. The restaurant (indoors) was completely empty but the patio was busy. Unfortunately, this meant all the waiters had a small section outside and they tended to hover. Summerlicious menu was good but the regular menu was highly overpriced for not-so-special Italian fare. Go for the gorgeous patio.

We went to Biagio with the Summerlicious promotion and it was excellent. No complaints about anything. I do caution however that the regular menu as well as the wine list is very pricey and that without a promotion dinner will easily cost $100 per person.

The atmosphere and decor were beautiful. Quiet, air conditioned and clean. The music was opera and classical music's Top 40, which was fine by me. Not too loud, either. The food was excellent. The one thing I didn't care for was my salad, but this is only because the dressing was not to my taste. The actual quality of the salad was great, just not for me. Everything else was delicious, however. SO tasty. The staff were perfect. All of them were courteous, efficient, and above all, never made us feel like we were silly or boorish, even in such a classy setting. They didn't seem to mind that we shared bites of food, just laughed with us. Would definitely recommend.

A group of six of us gathered from out-of-town for a weekend in Toronto and planned a special dinner together for the Saturday evening. We admittedly fell upon Biagio's by sheer luck, and were all very impressed with it. The italian cuisine they offer is definitely top notch. We all raved about every course we ordered. The setting is lovely, very classically stylish, a refreshing change from all these restaurants trying to create a trendy vibe. The service was bang on, fairly formal without being officious. Would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone that enjoys a more traditional high quality restaurant!

MY FREIND AND I ENJOYED OUR LUNCH AT BIAGIO. OUR SERVICE IMPROVED LATER IN OUR VISIT AS I THINK THAT A LARGE TABLE ARRIVING JUST PRIOR TO US MADE IT DIFFICULT FOR OUR SERVER TO KEEP UP. WE HAD AN UNCOMFORTABLE WAIT TO BE LOOKED AFTER FOLLOWING BEING SEATED. ONCE THE LARGE TABLE HAD BEEN SERVED, OUR SERVICE BECAME VERY PERSONABLE AND MADE UP FOR THE EARLIER PART OF THE LUNCH. A TABLE OF 3 MEN WERE PLAYING WITH THEIR RING TONES ON THEIR CELL PHONES DURING THE LUNCH WHICH WAS FARILY ANNOYING ALL IN ALL THE MEAL WAS GOOD AND WE WILL RETURN

Biagio did not live up to my expectations. While the food was good they should consider redoing both the menu and wine list to make it my customer friendly as the description of food is not what actually comes out of the kitchen and the wine list is not nicely done so you can't really get a clear sense of all that this resturant have to offer. The wait staff was very kind and friendly however I felt that management was not. Overally my experience at Biagio was ok but not exciting and I would not try it again.

I can't evaluate this place as we've only done a Winterlicious offer. Food was mediocre and somewhat bland. Just greens and just a chicken breast with a piece of ham on top. Poached pear was horrible and tasteless. It's just an ok lunch, not a special menu in my opinion. I liked the opera background music and the host.

I've been here twice now and the food is delicious! You really feel the old school Italian vibe, especially thanks to the waiters. They are all very friendly and added to the charm of the place. A little on the pricey side, so not a place I could go regularly, but definitely on special occasions. We both had pasta which was perfectly cooked and very fresh. And the chocolate mousse was so.freaking.good! The olive oil is so delicious that I felt like it deserved a mention here! Highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet, romantic spot.
