They were a few minutes behind but it's Mother's Day, got a drink at the bar, no big deal. Even though it is located in the midwest the chef always cooks their fish perfectly. Once again I must say our lunch was great! The food was delicious with a varied menu from which to choose. The servers were very friendly and efficient, explaining everything and answering any questions we had. They were most accommodating, bringing over a high chair immediately for the baby ( even before we could ask for one!), and they suggested and brought a dish of macaroni and cheese for him extremely quickly. (If the baby ain't happy, then no one's happy!) Sometime difficult to get into.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial Occasion DinnerWe chose to celebrate our daughter's graduation from Illinois State University by dinning at Biaggi's prior to the commencement ceremony. We had a group of 10 and everything went smoothly. Our table was ready for us on time, our servers were fantastic (friendly and professional), and the food was delicious! We have been to Biaggi's many times and have never been disappointed. In fact, our older daughter was recently married and Biaggi's catered the reception. Again, everything was perfect! We still get compliments about how wonderful the food was. The drinks were well done, but a bit overpriced. The atmosphere was nice, there was a lot of movement and servers were good about being aware of what was happening around them. The bread lives up to its reputation, but I don't think the food was perfect this time. The flavor combinations struck me a little oddly, for instance, the fish of the day was sweet and spicy, but I don't think it was well-balanced.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMItalian and Gluten-freeI enjoy this restaurant chain because although it is an Italian restaurant and you would think unfriendly to those of us who can't handle gluten, they have a tasty gluten-free menu. Plus gluten-free bread that doesn't taste like cardboard (probably because there is so much oil on it, but it works for me)! I can eat with my pasta-loving pals and actually enjoy a meal, unlike any experience I have had at Olive Garden. Excellent wine & lobster-crab dip was delicious. Messina salad outstanding. Mahi-Mahi entre a bit over seasoned & salty. The fresh veggies sounded great, but again, were over seasoned. The waiter was very knowledgable about the menu and the wine list, was able to make wine recommendations based on our food orders, and was overall, appropriately enthusiastic and personable. They were featuring a red velvet cake for dessert and it was a good choice. The place is loud and vibrant and the food is always good. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He arrived when needed but not to often. With concert tickets awaiting, the waiter promptly provided the check so we didn't have to wait. The Manager stopped by the table to check on things during the meal as well. They have an entire gluten free menu and we were so impressed by it! They do a great job catering to special food needs and being very kind about it. They brought us gluten free bread that was delicious! Every time our glasses got low, they were immediately filled up by someone on the wait staff.
