  • "Ate at this restaurant on several occasions. Every time I drive through Bloomington while en route to Chicago or back to St Louis, stop there to eat. Have never been disappointed. This particular reservation was made via OpenTable (which was the first time I used the service). I was traveling with a coworker, whose 60-th birthday happened to be on that day. Mentioned the occasion in the note to the restaurant. They put a birthday card (not specifically requested) on the table and a candle in his desert; nice! The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. Thank you!"

  • "Biggie's has always been a favorite of mine but in my last two visits I was quite displeased. It looks as though that got a whole new wait staff who lack training in regards to service. My last visit the waiter joked a lot with our table but in doing so he forgot one of my food items. Then he was a no-show. I brought this to the attention of another waiter but still the problem was.not resolved. At the end of the meal I mentioned the item to the waiter. He did apologize. This would be so bad but this is the second time I had bad service in the last past at the Biaggi's. Biggie's was now for consistently providing good service but that may no longer be true. My guest also commented on the poor service she got two weeks ago."

  • "Passing thru in route to STL, I looked up on Open Table recommended places to stop and eat in Bloomington. Came across Biaggi's and OMG did we have a great meal. The waiter and staff were great and the food was so delicious. But I have to admit one of my favorite things was the bread and "italian butter" (olive oil, parmesan,and black pepper) served before the meal. So good. A definite redo if passing through Bloomington again."

Joel greets us with a warm smile and handshake (we love the updates on his wife and children), both the bar and the dining room are pleasant and we are always happy with our entrees. Glen was our waiter and could not have been more pleasant and helpful. Going to Biaggi's is like going home to our "old neighborhood". We think it's the best in Bloomington/Normal."

  • "Dinner at Biaggi's was wonderful. The steak was cooked to perfection and the vegetables were not over cooked, they were perfect. The fish was also cooked to perfection, which does not happen very often in a restaurant! The pasta was great and the sauce was full of flavor. Their wine list is excellent and the desserts and espresso were a great way to wrap up the evening."

Who doesn't like a nice crisp salad, with some goodies mixed in with a nice light refreshing dressing in a chilled bowl? Well, not on Saturday nite anyway. A giant bowl of wilted lettuce (more is not better) with no goodies just mounds and mounds of lettuce. Quite disappointing."

  • "I loved the fact that I could reserve a table on line. I was with a large group of women running the IWGA Women's State Amateur Golf Tournament at Crestwicke. We were tired and hungry after a long day around the course. We did not have time to change clothes and needed a glass of wine and a nice dinner with separate checks. We come from all over the state of Illinois and have Biaggi's in some of our home towns. We know how consistent your quality is. You filled the bill! Thank you for a nice time."

It was also very helpful that we made our reservations in advance--easily and painlessly through Open Table--as there was a long wait on a rainy Saturday night because of a local Convention. He recommended the Sea Scallop Risotto and the Shrimp Oreganata. Both dishes were wonderful. Prepared just right and very flavorful. For dessert, he recommended the Bomboloni. Oh my! What a treat! A perfect dish to share!"

  • "Took an out of town guest (who lives in D.C.) to Biaggi's for lunch. As usual, the lunch options were diverse. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad and my friend had the half salad and half pasta (tortellini). She finished her plate, which is unusual for her. Then, she ordered a capucchino for dessert---it was beautifully presented with a biscotti. It's comforting to know Biaggi's will always live up to my expectations. "

  • "My wife and I came to Biaggi's to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. The food was excellent, and our server was very polite and kind. However, the manager booked two GIANT tables (30+ each) in their private dining room without staffing extra servers to account for such a large group. As a result, our server had to run back and forth between our table, another small table, and one of these giant groups. We had to wait up to 10 minutes to get drink refills, but it was much more aggravating that once we got our check, we had to wait 30 minutes for the server to return and run our debit card. She did apologize profusely, however, which was appreciated. In short, great food, polite staff, but on this occasion, incompetent management."
