It is a special place in which to have a memorable meal! We have enjoyed many lovely lunches at this restaurant! The room is beautiful and has a gorgeous view of NYC! The menu is terrific as are both the food and the service! We especially enjoy sitting in the "egg" chairs because they afford us more privacy. I highly recommend this restaurant! This time, I tried the soft shell crab salad which is a new and seasonal choice. The waiter look like he hated life and never came back and checked on us. We got the afternoon tea service, which had a pretty good selection. This is absolutely not the case at BG. It is a gorgeous, crisp, beautiful restaurant. We took my mom-in-law there for lunch for her birthday, along with a day of shopping. It was perfect. The waiter was so sweet and charming, and funny. We had a table with a stunning view. The decor is gorgeous. Really, better than I thought. The food is kind of secondary to the experience, but it was good. The tea was phenomenal and the crumpets were mostly good. They kindly accommodated to my friend's food allergies and the wait staff was hospitable. Many cities no longer have this option since most of chains are in malls. There is a nice view of Central Park. The food was delicious along with homemade bread and rolls. I had the afternoon tea which was lovely and very reasonably priced especially given the location and the fact that this restaurant belongs to Bergdorf's. The restaurant has such a great view, the food is delicious, the flat bread is amazing, and the atmosphere is very cool! The people watching is so much fun, too!
