  • "Made a reservation and when arrived asked if we could sit outside and told had to talk to the outside hostess who was different than the inside hostess. By the time we talked to her the last outside table was taken. Inside was dark with loud techno music - terrible atmosphere on a warm night in Montreal. Ordered a Bellini which cost $10.00 and was minuscule. I think the waiter forgot to put in our order because it took over an hour to get our pizzas and we were sitting in front of the pizza oven and watched all the other pizzas go by! My Margherita pizza was a soggy mess in the centre though the outside crust was nice so I just ate the outside part of the pizza. A lot of other nice restaurants in Montreal -would not go back to this one"

The red light bar was very cool and inviting. My only complaint was the drinks were too expensive and extremely strong in a regular size glass."

  • "Thw revise looked good as did the menu and the website, but we found that during the Formula One weekend, they appeared to be overwhelmed and had inexperienced wait staff they assigned to a large group (ours). The service was poor, the waiter didn't know the specials, one meal was messed up and no one told us which caused one individual to eat when we were ready to leave. The water glasses we left unattended. The meals were not all warm. Overall a big cost for a disappointing result."

They did not give the restaurant a high rating for food and suggested that you stick with the pizza. I did not follow the suggestion. Maybe if I stuck to the pizza, I would have had a better dining experience."

  • "We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary and last night in Montreal...the restaurant was a quick walk from our hotel...as always...using Open Table for the reservation and noting our reason for celebration was duly taken care of perfectly by the host Eric!...our table...a quiet romantic hideaway with a view with the open window to the energetic street scene (The Habs were playing The Rangers)...complementary sparkling wine from Eric set the tone for a fabulous evening of celebration...our server Vincent was top notch!!!...calamari...arugula salads and the BEST wood oven pizza ever!...dessert of tiramisu with a sparkler was outstanding!...overall...JUST GO!!! And from the bottom of my heart...THANK YOU!!!"

  • "I know this may seem silly...but I chose this restaurant solely based on the fact that insalata de mare was on the menu. I could almost taste the grilled octopus. Imagine my disappointment as I ordered it only to be told by the server "oh, we don't have that anymore!" I was so surprised (and disappointed) that it took me a little while to recover and figure out what else I would want to eat. Thankfully, the others in my party were not thrown off as I was and we all greatly enjoyed our meals. Service was friendly and relatively prompt without feeling rushed. "

  • "Reservation definitely recommended at this popular spot. Turned up at the door without a reservation on a very busy Saturday night and although they could not give us a table that night one of the staff came out into the pouring rain to show us other eateries in the area. This good deed encouraged us to make a reservation for another night. We booked a table for six o'clock and there was a good mixture of couples, groups and parents with children. The stone cut walls gives the place a lovely rustic feel. The food was delicious. Would definitely recommend."

I'm not a dance music lover and this place had more of a bar scene vibe than a restaurant feeling. It just wasn't a great fit for our plans, but might suit others just fine."

  • "My boyfriend and I are pizza connoisseurs. We have been to lots of gourmet pizza places in and out of the city and BEVO is now at the top of our list. He has a pizza with prosciutto and I had the Bosco in Bianco (mushroom and truffle pizza). Delicious! I highly recommend going, especially if pizza is your jam. The appetizers were very good too! We loved the meatballs!"

  • "Been to Bevo quite few times, I have never been disappointed. This time around we shared the butcher's platter, very good, great with a glass of wine. I also had their mixed mushroom pizza, yum, excellent, tasty, not soggy at all. They accommodated my friend who is celiac, she had risotto with asparagus, cooked to perfection. All in all very inexpensive with great food. It gets a little louder by the end of the evening but you can still here each other talk."
