A 3 hour Happy Hour with excellent low prices and live entertainment on a Saturday started our evening off right. Service was highly attentive and very friendly and informative.   • "I went for the prime rib but you were out of the prime ribby 6 o'clock only thing I would suggest is that maybe you should offer a substitution or give a discount on the check. Our server Sydney she was great give us a lot of suggestions. I love the mushroom bar menu mushrooms are one of my favorite foods to eat looking forward to trying the omelette bar and Sunday brunch thinking about bringing my mother there for Mother's Day."

  • "I have heard good things about this place. I liked the atmosphere, there was a live band that was pretty loud but once moving outside, it was nice to have some entertainment. I don't have a good thing to say about the food that evening but maybe it was just a bad night in the kitchen but it was not busy, so not sure why. I was looking forward to the mushroom options which looked great. The one I happened to try was very bland. I also ordered the ziti (they were out of penne noodles) so my guest and I both had a chicken dish, The chicken was very dry, both of our veggies were mush, potatoes had a ton of cream in them (otherwise good flavor) and my food was swimming in water. The waitress was very apologetic. I will give it another try."

  • "We celebrated my daughter's 25th birthday here and really had a great time. We were in a room by ourselves with a party of 8, two of who were 1and 2 years old. We had mushrooms and wine and then ordered dinner. I had the salmon which was not overlooked like so many other restaurants I've been to. Everyone liked their food. The server was not attentive at first, but after my Said something to him about it he really changed his tune and redeemed himself. Overall, it was a great night and I would go back again."

  • "We met there with some people from work for my husband's birthday party. Never had heard of the place before. We could not have had a better meal and a gathering of 7 friends any place else that would hold a candle to this experience. We are owners of The Clarendon Hotel in midtown Phoenix and all live on the west side of town. We will be stopping there for a gathering to discuss new ideas at least once a week from now on.   • "The manager was very accomodating! We had a reservation for 10, however 3 extra people showed up and he handled the issue nicely by adding an additional table. Great service! Food was great also and my martini was delicious!"

  • "Heard mostly good so I met a friend for Sunday brunch. We both ordered the eggs benedict, mine with scalloped potatoes. both orders came cold, one of my eggs was perfectly poached, the other, hard cooked. the scalloped potatoes were so crusted underneath the knife wouldn't even go thru. it looked like our potatoes were cooked the same and mine had a canned cheese sauce added at the end. our waitress was one of the worst we've ever encountered, nonattentive, very slow and didn't listen to our orders. the bloody marys were ok but not terrific. we will think twice about returning."

  • "We first heard of Betty's Nosh on the PBS show "Check Please" and really looked forward to the experience. It was not at all what we thought it might be. It was very noisy, even on the patio. The food wasn't as good as we were hoping and the waitress didn't seem too keen on helping us (first-time guests) choose something amazing. As mushroom enthusiasts, we were disappointed in the sausage portabello and the sausage cannelloni. The sausage cannelloni had about 5% sausage and the other 95% was all ricotta cheese. It would be a great place to go with a wine-loving group of friends rather than on a date of any kind."

  • "Hardly anyone in the restaurant and yet we waited some time at the front for someone to seat us (this seems to be a trend here). Normally the food has been very good but this time (and I think it was because of the waitress) our food was cold, toast was ice cold and didn't look like it had been toasted. Every time our waitress came to our table she was out of breath and was complaining about how busy she was. All we had to drink was water and she never brought us a refill. Should have sat at the bar as the regular bartender was there and he has always been good in the past."

  • "What a nice find! Recommended by a friend, surprisingly large inside, compared to what I saw from the front if the building. Outside covered seating is a plus. Four of us had the appetizer stuffed mushrooms, and 1 had the fish and chips. There are so many stuffed mushroom choices! Everyone raved about what they ordered. I personally had the Italian sausage and also tried the angry shrimp stuffed mushrooms. Others had crab stuffed, and carbonara. Happy hour drinks... I had the "well" margarita, which was so tasty, I had to have another one! We all enjoyed our different desserts, too. We'll be back to try more of the menu!"

  • "We may have his Betty's at a time when they were stressed. Our server seemed to have little idea about the food. There was ho sparkling water available - "on order"- The first mushrooms arrived in a timely manner with one of the two orders incorrect. For 45 minutes, three of our party of four waited to no avail for the rest of the food to arrive. Finally, a trip was made to the manager who had the food to the table in less than 10 minutes. (It was seen under warming lights and tasted as if it had been under the lights for 45 minutes. This was a poor introduction to what sounds like an interesting menu. The food was not terrible, just undeserving of the wait."

  • "We enjoyed our first visit to Betty’s Nosh. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the wonderful weather. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, ones more conducive to reclining than eating. The restaurant is more of a wine bar than restaurant but there are several entrees that will satisfy most appetites. There is a wonderful list of appetizer mushrooms, think pizza on a mushroom instead of bread. The meatballs seemed a bit “store bought” and the marinara needed more garlic. The true standout was the Chicken Marsala which was worth the trip by itself. For a wine bar, the list is simple and rather limited but filled with good value and decent varietals. Only a few of the desserts are made on premises, the bulk of which are from a local bakery."

  • "I can't really say that there was anything memorable about Betty's other than everything seem to have sauce on it. What happened to just plain old stuffed mushrooms? I don't need sauce, really. I would be happy with a simple mushroom stuffed with veggies - but if you're looking for simple (or healthy), steer clear - there isn't much to eat other than salads. Since this was my first time, I will go back and try their brunch instead."

  • "We came in for Sunday brunch for our daughter and son-in law's anniversary, Sunday the 23rd. Had a lovely time. Our booth toward the back was a great spot as we brought flowers and gifts and didn't feel as though we were disturbing other diners. Our waiter was prompt and courteous, very respectful of our little gathering. We always enjoy the food at Betty's Nosh and were not disappointed with the brunch."

  • "My wife and I chose to spend Valentine's Day at Betty's based on the recommendation of a friend, and we were not disappointed. Our experience began after I made the reservation and then received a voice mail from Chris confirming and offering to answer any questions I might have; then when we entered Betty's we were greeted by Chris, in his tux, and ushered to a well decorated table. The Valentine's menu offered a number of choices which almost made it difficult to choose our entree's. The service was excellent and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous. We will be back."

  • "If you are seeking an eating establishment where you would like to surprise and delight that special someone, then Betty ' s Nosh is that place. Their menu will totally surprise you and your guest. It is not over the top with overwhelming numbers of dishes. However the selection and quality of each dish will sentillate your taste buds from the appetizers through the main courses and right down to the deserts. Betty's Nosh has established itself as one of the gems in the West Valley!"

  • "I was fixing a first date in the same afternoon and this restaurant came across. I was a little worried about my quick choice but the restaurant well exceeded our expectation. The staff are very friendly, the ambiance is great, and the food is tasty. Gotta love those mushroom appetizers! We like the bar area and the fireplace makes it feel homy, great for a couple of drinks after dinner. Did I mention there is even live music?"

  • "This was my first visit to Betty's Nosh after seeing it reviewed on Check Please! Arizona. They have a great selection on the menu, and we opted to try the Mushroom Sampler. This included 8 mushrooms with 4 different toppings. All our selections were deliscious, with the "Angry Shrimp" topping being our favorite. Can't wait to go back and keep trying different toppings. The Sampler was very filling for 2 people, and we ordered 2 more Portabello mushrooms with different toppings, and couldn't finish them, but they made great leftovers! Will definitely be back!"

I'm not task in height and can't even touch the foot rests even when sitting. :'( The waitress didn't know nothing about the menu. Didn't even how about Your what the happy hour specials. That disappointed me a lot. I had to even show her where it was located in the menu along with the appetizers. I've been here a few times love the Chicken & Mushroom Cannolli appetizer. Excellent favour, presence & great appetizer."

  • "We enjoyed the food. I had 3 orders (2/order) of the mushrooms. The Spinach/Artichoke was excellent as was the Cheeseburger. The Sausage lacked flavor. My Mom had the Orange Roughy which was cooked to perfection, though the portion was small. Very tiny space with excellent & friendly Servers who are also knowledgeable about the menu. The only problem we had was the high noise level which seemed to come primarily from the bar. We'll definitely return."
