A word from Bethany's Table
Bethany's Table is a casual European style bistro offering meals made from fresh, local ingredients and served in a relaxed setting imbued with genuine hospitality.

Grass-fed beef, humanely raised (and tasty) chicken, fresh seafood, pasta, risotto, polenta complimented by unique ingredients such as foraged wild mushrooms, truffles and sea beans (wild asparagus). The menu is complimented with an exhaustive wine selection and a full bar.

Dinner is served every night, lunch served Monday through Friday and a very special brunch is offered on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 9 AM.

The Table is a popular neighborhood spot blessed with a loyal cadre of regular customers. This results in a large portion of diners walking in. For this reason a number of tables are held out to accommodate walk-ins.

Diner Reviews
  • "Bethany is an oasis in an otherwise desert of high end cuisine in the West side. The menu changes frequently always making use of the freshest local ingredients. All of this in a friendly neighborhood bistro."

  • "We love dining at Bethany's Table & brought our Icelandic family there for a special dinner. A great hit! Laura"

  • "All of us, ranging in age from 28 to 98, savored and shared our dinner choices, from creamy chilled beet soup to scallop salad to pork shanks in a succulent sauce. Our out-of-town guests, who have sample many Portland restaurants, said that this may be the one above all others that they will have to return to. Those of us from the neighborhood wish we had discovered this delightful oasis sooner."

  • "We live near Bethany's Table. I selected the restaurant for my birthday meal. We have eaten there at least 6 times. The earlier experiences were excellent, but as time has passed the quality of the food/service has diminished. After this last experience I doubt we will go back. They used to provide bread with the meal, we had to pay $8 for bread and then there were only 4 slices, one slice for each person. The Caesar salad was heavy on the garlic. The meat the in the Stroganoff was just plain tough, you used to be able to cut it with a fork. It was also over seasoned. My daughter-in-law had to send back the steamer clams/muscles because of too much salt. What was billed as ice cream tasted more like sherbet."

  • "All the food was great. Amazing Ahi, pasta, beef, chicken. We cross tasted and everyone agreed on excellence. Small, somewhat noisy, but great service. Sufficient wine list. Will return often."

  • "This was our 4th time dining at Bethany's table. Each and every time we have eaten here the food and service has been fantastic. For such a good restaurant, the location is a bit of a surprise. We didn't expect to find a gem like this so close to our neighborhood. During our first visit we were a little concerned about the prices. After eating here though, we consider this to be a great value. All the ingredients are fresh. Appetizers, samplers, entree, and deserts are flavorful and meticulously prepared. The portions size is just right. The orders come prepared as requested. Although we haven't tried it yet, there are some outdoor tables available."

  • "We come here frequently. This time we dropped in to celebrate our anniversary. The three of us had a great meal. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. Overall a great experience!"

  • "Food and service is superb! Glad to hear you'll soon have a second restaurant and are expanding the current location. Love to stay in the neighborhood and have a wonderful evening out!"

  • "Consistently wonderful and better than most "trendy" restaurants downtown. Can't say enough about this tucked away spot in the heart of Bethany Village. Always a good selection of wine by the glass, white and red. A varied selection of appetizers, salads, and entrees presented as only a chef who cares about his food can. Hard to pull away from the menu for the specials, which are always truly special. Personal favorite, shrimp and polenta, but of course, I know it as shrimp and grits. An excellent version, lots of flavor, the chefs in low country are turning green! Very happy this restaurant is on OpenTable, because I drive FROM PDX to eat here with friends and family in the area."

  • "This restaurant has the best most creative menu I've seen; PLUS all items are exceptionally tasty and well done. I have not been to a restaurant where every item I have ordered makes my palate dance. VERY GOOD!"

  • "Bethany's Table doesn't look like much but the food sure is good. While the service wasn't great, the food made it worth it, especially the bacon wrapped scallops. They have plenty of non-gluten choices which always makes a better dining experience"

  • "Food was very good. Menu options were very cool, and the beverage list was nice. Service was really pleasant. Kitchen was slow. The place is really small, so the seating arrangements are a bit awkward. The size also lends to the noise, which was a but higher that normal."

  • "This restaurant would fit right in next to any of the best local spots on NW 21st, NW 23rd, or SE. Excellent execution on egg dishes (weekends only) for brunch as well as meat and fish related entrees and anything on the menu that benefits from the chef's flair for Italian inspired cuisine! Quaint spot with better than to be expected variety on the wine list; not as comprehensive as some, but significant variety."

  • "Great food, including vegetarian - friendly options. Avoid the table (s) near the food coolers if you don't like periodic chilly air."

  • "Went for brunch w/ my mom. The menu posted online was different, so if you have your heart set on something you may want to call ahead. My mom had the eggs benedict and loved it. I had a hamburger. It wasn't spectacular, but it was a good, solid burger... the bun and house sauce were very good. I'd order it again. Coffee was strong :) Staff was attentive and friendly. I look forward to visiting again to enjoy the outdoor seating."

  • "Bethany's Table is always the best place to eat. Any meal, any day, they're all prepared fresh and served quickly.. They use local produce and meats/fish............the staff is made up of their familily, they live in the neighborhood and they seem to really enjoy what they're doing. We go all the time, prices are excellent considering the quality of the good and the gracious service. They're gaining quite a following from word of mouth. We take out of towners there all the time."

  • "Started with a glass of wine and cheese plate sitting in the sun outside, with plenty of people watching with very little traffic. Then moved indoors for a delicious dinner and more wine. Meal was very good, especially the pork shank with polenta. Comfortable neighborhood spot - wish I lived closer, but I'll be back!"

  • "The food is priced at the high end for Portland and the quality just doesn't measure up. We had some small appetizers (that weren't very good) and the paella was just ok (large serving but not as good as when I cook it at home). While there aren't a lot of good places to eat in Beaverton, if you do want to eat in Beaverton and are planning to spend $60-100 for a dinner for two, Decarli's food is considerably better. "

  • "The food was great although it was a little pricy. Our server though we were not as impressed with. She was an older lady who spent more time checking in with the couple behind us. When we ordered drinks She asked my husband and I but walked off before our son could order. Everyone in the restaurant had bread but we were never asked. There was a younger guy there that after our order was placed was the one to check on us. I would go again, but request a different server next time."

  • "We just enjoyed another great meal at our neighborhood favorite. They deal well with my special orders from the kitchen, and the rest of the family always gets great food ordered from the menu."

  • "This restaurant was recommended by several people who like fine wine and upscale dining. We were't disappointed! The beef tenderloin was one of the most tender and flavorful I have ever had. This was a great dining experience and we will definitely be back soon. The best part is that it is in our neighborhood."

  • "Bethany's Table is a charming little bistro on the west side of Portland, actually near Beaverton. Perfect for a casual dining experience with fine dining menu offerings. I've had lunch and dinner and both were very good."

  • "I love the food! Everything about this place is special and each morsel tastes like it is prepared with love and thought. It is delicious and fills your mouth with great flavor. The people make the place too. This is a real gem in our neighborhood and my favorite place to have a meal out! "

  • "Dinner was great..the only problem was the pasta in the spaghetti and meatballs was overcooked and mushy. They used angel hair pasta for some reason and it was horrible. For such a high quality restaurant our group was surprised they missed the mark on this dish."

  • "I used to go to this restaurant quite a bit ad the food was great and the service was always spot on. This visit and my two prior to this have not hit the mark. The service is always great and I think will always been as this is a nice small town feel type of setting. The food as been going downhill for a while now but the prices have been going up. This visit at my table we ordered a burger, steak bavette and chicken marsala. The burger was WAY undercooked, the bavette was also under cooked and the chicken was cooked perfect but lacked much flavor. This trip and the last couple have been a bit of a miss. I REALLY hope that Bethany Table can make it back to what it used to be as Bethany needs a good neighborhood place."

  • "When the place is full it's loud which is why I gave ambiance a 3. Otherwise really good food and service and you forget you are in Beaverton. Cannot be beat for upper scale food on this side of town."

  • "This dellightful little restaurant is the kind you would find on the backstreet of a European city. The menu isn't too large but offers a wide range of choices. The food is exceptional....fresh, properly cooked, and well plated. Considering the quality the prices are very moderate."

  • "I've been hearing about this restaurant for awhile, looking at the menu online, and pondering if there could possibly be such a great bistro in Beaverton . We finally decided to go and took my in laws with us. It was fabulous! It reminded me of great little bistros in Paris. The service, our waitress was knowledgable, personable and patient. She was great! We shared a few pantry items: hedgehog mushroom pate, manchego cheese with quince paste and the shredded kale and Brussels sprouts salad. Everything was spot on. We all were extremely happy with our entrees and we shared a couple desserts as well. We can't wait to go back! The Chef's husband came over and chatted with us too. What a great place (:"

  • "Having eaten here before, we knew what to expect. They have a varied selection of entrees on the menu and have the ability to do a good job. Everyone (4) liked their choices and enjoyed the meal. The waiter was somewhat of a disappointment.. slow to arrive.. didn't ask if we'd like a glass of wine... didn't offer bread and somewhat rude to start with. He (Adam ?) warmed up later, and we'll go back but ask for a different server."
