BesoWrong night??We dined on a Saturday night. They accomodated our booth request. My husband had the rib-eye, I had the lamb chops. My husband really liked his. Mine needed more seasoning. The flatbread was fantastic. Churros were ok. Our waiter wasn't very attentive. Our appetizers never came out and he didn't notice. I had to point it out. We had to wait for utensils and when our sparkling water ran out, he didn't ask if we would like more or wanted something else. The space is beautiful which made for an overall nice evening with my husband. We had a late reservation so we decided to share a few appetizers instead of having big meals. We loved the chorizo shrimp flat bread pizza, delicious! The tuna tartar taco was also amazing and the ribs wow! the meat just slide off the bone. I really wanted to try the ceviche but they were out :/ Also had a lemon drop martini which was perfect, very citrusy and not too sweet, I would highly recommend the red sangria as well. Our server was very nice and prompt with everything. Overall we agreed that this place is a keeper! The bar was awesome and decorations were fun and chic. I had the Beso sangria which was delicious to say the least. We ordered the shrimp scampi and the scallops. The food tasted fresh and it was just the perfect amount of food. I was leery of the hip factor. The staff, however, were uniformly well trained, polite and polished. And the food - ah, the savory saving grace! My Beso margarita was delicious: a perfect blend of fresh citrus and quality tequila, lightly kissed with Grand Marnier. Equally scrumptious was Eva's quacamole, with just a hint of heat and the freshest tortilla chips. But the pièces de résistance were the outstanding sea scallops, seared to tender perfection and served beautifully over simple clouds of whipped potatoes, with drizzles of a perfectly balanced pomegranate reduction. The only element missing to elevate this dish to nirvana was a green vegetable for crunch. Every single dish was impeccable. My boyfriend's favorite was the crab cakes and mine was the quesadilla (not too cheesy). They actually read my "note" when I made our reservation online, and gave us a booth, away from a service station. The prices are costly, but for a special occassion, why not? We also had a voucher, $30 for $60 worth of food, which was a bonus. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive, as were the busboys, which was amazing to me. Eva Longoria you have a hit! From the appetizers; the entre and to the desert, it was all delicious and presented with elegance. The ambience makes you smile the minute you walk in, the music makes you want to dance but at the same time you can carry a conversation. The servers gave excellent attention to our needs whether they were your waiter or not. If you want to impress anyone take them to Beso!

In fact, if there had been steps I probably would have tripped. It was difficult to read the menu but our waiter had a small flashlight which helped. The place is surprisingly large and although only a few tables were taken when we arrived at 7:00 PM it filled up and was actually still quiet enough for conversation. The tortilla soup was excellent and my husband enjoyed his Caesar Salad. The chicken and skirt steak were also good and the churros for dessert were to die for. The food is very fresh and very flavorful focusing on Latin infused cuisine. The scallops are notable for their taste and the Lamb is cooked to perfection. A tomato based Chicken soup is a staple and the guacamole dip is very good. The ambiance is overwhelmingly warm and energetic. Very young, hip crowd. It was my 3rd time back. Had a groupon and that made a good deal. I would tell everyone to get a groupon before going. without this coupon for a group on 4 was $290. Groupon gave me $120 saving. As far as the restaurant, it is amazing. Now the drinks and food can be expensive. we ordered the flatbread with shrimp and Chorizo, but there were no shrimp on it, so they should just called it chorizo flatbread, it was good especilly for a group of 4. As far as the waiter, he kept forgetting things, so we had to remiond him about 2 to 3 times... I didn't like that at all. Crab cakes is to die for... The lighting is dark which gives it that great setting but probably wouldn't recommend for a family dinner.
