The recently added Chef's Table brings distinct flair for foodies seeking a unique and personalized dining experience.The Chef's Table seats up to 10 guests and offers a personalized five-course menu prepared by Executive Chef Paul Robert. Reservations may be made by visiting Open Table and listing "Chef's Table" in the notes section of your reservation The five- course menu is $95 per person, or $145 for the five-course menu with wine pairings (tax and gratuity not included).

  • "We ate here our last night in NoLA before hitting the Casino. Overall, it was very ok. Both salads we ordered were overdressed, yet underseasoned for a place of this caliber. We had a side of mushrooms with our meal that was also just ok. Same for the bread and a chicken liver pate. What would bring be back is the Double Kurobuta pork chop with crab / corn risotto. That dish was amazingly tasty, a great combination of the salty / savory oh so tender pork chop, with the creamy, almost sweet risotto. That dish alone will bring me back."

  • "We visited this location for convenience. Of course it's inside of a casino so it was a little smoky BUT we received impeccable service from our server Anthony. My filet was cooked perfectly Medium so it was juicy and tender as well as tje asparagus and potatoes were perfect! My girl friend had the prix fixe which included an excellent beets salad, blade steak which was ok and a decadent apple dessert. Anthony also recommended a very nice pinot noir which I thoroughly enjoyed as a newbie to red wine drinking. Overall, i would dine here again!"

  • "food was great.. as well as wine and service outstanding..... the only caution would be they put sauces on there steaks..... we were warned by another person on open table to put them on the side which we did.... and boy were we glad... both sauces should I say to our taste were awful... don't ruin a otherwise great steak with a sauce that you don't like!!!!!"

  • "First time to Besh and I had high expectations. As we were shown to our table, I commented about how very cold it was. The host said he'd see about turning the air down some...so did the waiter. Table next to us was freezing too even with sweaters on. Never happened. The real problem is when your steak and everything else gets cold before you get to eat it. So, food was good and service ok. But we were all way too uncomfortable."

He ordered the ribeye medium rare and it came out medium the first time and close to rare the second time with very little char. Fortunately, the restaurant recognized the issue and comped the steak. It was Halloween in New Orleans, so we may have received the B Team in the kitchen. Otherwise, the baked oysters were delicious and so was my catfish with crab."

  • "Mom is a diamond card member who tried to go to Besh last Saturday, but was told she could not be seated until 9:30 pm (so I made a reservation for her to return Sunday 5:45 pm). She said her steak was covered with a weird gravy/sauce which she did not like, ask for, or anticipate. The waitress offered to get another steak, but she declined (scraped the gravy off) because she does not like to send food back to the kitchen. She ordered dessert to go, but after arriving home, discovered someone packaged up the wrong dessert...bread pudding; she does not like bread pudding so threw it away. My husband & I have taken mom to Besh a few times without incident, but this was the first time she said anything negative about her dining experience."

  • "I have eaten many times at Besh, especially enjoying the great Texas T-Bone, which I always shared. This time I ate alone, so I went with something less dramatic, the catfish. Unfortunately, there wasn't just less drama, there was no drama at all. The crumbled crabmeat on top was pretty good, but the catfish was so bland it was practically non-existent. Very disappointing, especially in NOLA, where catfish should be a signature dish."

  • "We made reservations for Wednesday night October 8 for 8:00. We walked up to the restaurant to see if we could eat sooner. They seated us right away to a table in back corner of restaurant because I had made the comment that we would like a quiet table. For appetizer my husband ordered the stuffed Jumbo Lump Crab Shells which were very good. I ordered the Bibb salad which was very good. We both had the 14 oz cast iron ribeye which was very tender but too big to eat. Unless you are a big eater I would share the steak. The ribeye comes with frites. Dessert was bread pudding with Irish whiskey ice cream which my husband loved. Extensive wine list that has the 1/2 bottle wines. Service was good. One of the most expensive restaurants we ate at."

  • "The quality of food and service continues to slide. The chefs compliments " duck pate" was tastes however the fried bread was greasy. The Big Daddy Oysters and Pork Belly salad were the star of the meal. The flavor and presentation were spot on. The main course was flat, no seasoning, cold, and poor presentation. Nothing on our plates seems to be seasoned. Our potato cakes were served under our steaks and became a juice soaked mush. When we were leaving the Manager asked how we liked our dinner. He could tell from our expression that we were less than impressed. Not wanting to embarrass my wife on our 29th wedding anniversary I politely said we have had better. The Manager did not follow up just like his wait staff."

  • "I've eaten at some of the highest rated steak places in the US and this is in the top 3. Outstanding. The Cowboy steak was big enough to split with my fiancé and I am a big guy (6'2 280 lbs) and a big eater. It was tender and absolutely delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the seating. They have you crammed into the place with that Denny style seating, with the tables lined up next to each other, so you have to listen to the conversations on either side of you. We were celebrating my birthday, which we indicated on the reservation and also told our server, but no free dessert or nothing mde special that you tend to get at other places. Even Bonefish Grill gives you a free dessert. But if you want a good steak--this is the place."

  • "So I'm sure John Besh doesn't know this is going on in his namesake restaurant! We had eaten there before but didn't expect such a bad night! Greeted by hostess, was taken to our table which was to be the middle one in the row of side by side tables. Did I mention it was a special celebration with a nicely dressed couple (not just gamblers looking for a quick meal). It was NOT busy. I ask to have a two top on the side wall, which wasn't great but much better. When waitress came over we didn't even have a drink menu yet. She came back 20 min later, when my husband said that it was soo long she immediately gave us attitude and rolled her eyes. We Should have left with plenty other wonderful restaurants in NOLA, but didn't. Food was good!"

  • "Great experience! Rosiland our server was fantastic. Very friendly and took great care of us. Accommodated all of our requests. Iceberg wedge salad was great, the crab and corn bisque was very memorable and the pan seared ribeyes were cooked to perfection. Then came the desserts which melted in our mouths. The atmosphere was perfect. An appropriate experience to celebrate 20 years of marriage."

Hilton hotel discount not accepted, server claimed restaurant wasn't a Besh property 6. server non-responsive to statement that food was substandard (au gratin' potatoes greasy and flat; flat iron steak too tough to saw, much less cut; filet was very rare instead of medium rare. **If this isn't a Besh restaurant, it shouldn't be listed with his other restaurants. Also, if the head chef trained under Besh John Besh should be ashamed of himself. We didn't bother to send back anything, because by the time the food arrived we were ready to end the torture. A costly mistake, not one saving grace."

  • "After many years going to this restaurant We felt it has grown stale. Same menu, same high prices, same décor. I was disappointed with the shrimp & grits, the shrimp was slightly mushy, the whole dish did not come together for me. My husband liked his pork chop- a dish he has ordered there for at least 5 years. We usually love Besh restaurants...this is the first time we have been underwhelmed."

  • "I go to New Orleans 4 times a year on business. I ALWAYS visit Besch Steakhouse! Cocktails are top notch! The complimentary Pâté' is so delicious and I think about it all day before my meal! The Buttermilk Salad is huge and chocked with blue cheese chunks and sugared pecans. I have never had a steak that wasn't cooked to perfection. I don't indulge in dessert so I can't review. Give this New Orleans restaurant a try! You won't be disappointed!"
