  • "I won a gift card, which brought us to try out this place for dinner. What a great treat! We sat outside on a nice summer evening. Enjoyed beautiful wine from Dunham (Walla Walla), excellent Gyzo Kobe beef won ton appetizers. The main course of the sea bass and shrimp fetticina was excellent. We topped it off with a chocolate moose. Will be going back!"

  • "First time having dinner at Berryhill and the mojito was excellent, the beef medallions sliced over blue cheese vinaigrette salad was superb and the scallops in the cilantro pesto sauce over pasta was absolutely heavenly! Best food ever. Our waiter was charming and knowledgable and made excellent recommendations! The musicians were classy and the outside patio transported me to a magical place. Could have been Europe. Thank you"

  • "I cannot respond to your questions as I made this reservation for my boss for a business luncheon. As his admin assistant, I did not actually attend the luncheon, but this restaurant was chosen for the quiet, professional atmosphere which accommodates a business conversation."

  • "The best Sunday brunch in Boise. The bacon is to die for and all the offerings are delicious."

  • "Mine was a business lunch and it went very well - both the business and the lunch. Our waiter was on his third day with the restaurant and did a good job despite being not yet totally familiar with the menu. We ate outside, which was great. They are well setup for outdoor dining."

  • "Very enjoyable restaurant. Food very good. I was there on a Monday night so it was quiet. Get their baked potato with the Berryhill bacon!"

  • "My wife and I went to Berryhill for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was great. We chose Berryhill as this was where I proposed. We had scallops with linguini and the macaroni and cheese with their bacon, both of which were fantastic."

  • "I have dined at Berryhill many times and I have always had a great meal. One of my favorite things to eat at Berryhill is their Tomato Bisque Soup. It is sublime. On my last visit, unfortunately, they were out of it. What a disappointment! I look forward to having it on my next visit. This is a great place for lunch. I highly recommend it."

  • "This is my favorite place to brunch. Whenever I am hosting out of town guests I make sure I take them to Berryhill. The service is always top notch. The food is always amazing. Great cocktails!"

  • "Been here in the past, seemed over priced, too busy, and mediocre service. The specials menu for dinner was just great....salmon pate, caprese pasta dish with grilled shrimp and a chimichuri with tenderloin and shrimp....all very good. Our waiter was appropriately friendly and highly accommodating. We will go back sooner next time."

  • "I love Berryhill, we're regular holiday brunchers. Two piano players on father's day this year, what a treat!!! Though they had the same fare on this special occasion as any other Sunday, it was twice the price!! When we asked our server lady for a box to take our leftover scraps to our pooch at home, she shut us down....I get it, but we're not at chuck-a-rama, and you doubled your margins because of an arbitrary date on a calendar, get a grip next time and treat us like guests, not cattle. Next time I wanna take the garbage on my plate to my dog, fetch me damn doggie bag. :) Thanks and you're welcome for the 25%.."

  • "John Berryhill never fails to deliver and as usual this dinner was terrific. We dined on patio even though evening was cool. The staff is pleasant and professional and it remains our favorite. We recommended the Mac and Cheese to friends and they loved it. Pasta Caprese with Shrimp was excellent. Do go."

  • "My wife and I had our 11th Wedding Anniversary here. We enjoyed the food, and loved the live piano music. Thanks for making it a great night."

  • "My partner asked if she could replace the linguini with rice. The waitress said yes, and offered some rice and extra scallops. Because it was my partner's birthday, I thought she was being nice. When I got the bill she charged us an additional 12.50 for her suggestions. It was very uncool and clearly her attempt to augment her tip. Not happy."

  • "The food was wonderful. Tomato basil soup and vanilla rum mousse were my favorites! Although my daughter raved about the biscuits and gravy. Bacon bloody mary was also a winner!"

  • "thank you, berryhill, for a wonderful meal and a beautiful place to enjoy a night out on the town! we were very disappointed with the server, she pressured way beyond what is acceptable. she made horrified looks when we didn't get the specials and said WHAT? you can't get that! many times. thank goodness we are not pushovers or we would not have ordered what we wanted. she did not have the class/professionalism to work in such a classy restaurant. we would like to go back to berryhill, but are worried we will get the same server"

  • "Nice place for Mother's Day Brunch. It was a great day for us."

  • "My husband took me to the brunch at Berryhill for Mother's Day and it was very very nice. We were seated in the bar area and the service was incredible. The food and the selection was delicious. This is, definitely, somewhere we will go to again. The ambiance was just wonderful. Despite someone sitting just a few feet from us with a very young child, the noise level was still such that we could have a quiet conversation between us without anyone else being able to listen in. We are excited to try their weekend brunch!"

  • "We were not impressed with the brunch - the waffles were like bricks. We did come around 1pm but still expected good quality - the bacon was the ONLY highlight of the meal."
    Dined on 5/4/2014
  • "Our service was perfect---spinich salad was very good, wine perfect. the sea bass entree was fabulous, my husbands ball stead was very flavorfull, but a little on the touch side. Over all we will come back and would recommend Berryhill---probably would not order ball stead again"

  • "Berryhill is the only decent brunch in Bosie. We won't go anywhere else. "

  • "The food and service was great...the ambience was excellent...we could have been at a nice restuarant in any large city, we forgot we were in Boise. We were seated 10 feet from two gentlemen playing the piano and guitar and had no problem having a normal conversation. The music was backround and calming. Other than the wine I ordered was not in stock, the evening was enjoyable. The dessert tray looked inticing, we were sorry we did not have time to sample. We will be back."

  • "Had Easter brunch at Berryhill. As usual bacon is out of this world but most of the other buffet choices did not live up to the quality standards of this restaurant and were somewhat uncreative and lacking. Dessert choices were not tempting. Bloody Mary bar and Bellini carafes were fabulous."

  • "Berryhill is our "go to" restaurant for any special occasion and especially for a holiday brunch or dinner! We are always ooh-ing and aah-ing over the delicious food selections! The Monte Cristo bites were a wonderful addition to the Easter brunch. Always, it's really about the Berryhill bacon...period. Oh, and seeing some of the fun and friendly wait staff again i.e. Garrett and Marcus! As for the Berryhill's, Amy is the most lovely hostess-owner and John is the chef-owner extraordinaire! They make their holiday guests feel like family...so, thank you everybody!"

  • "I've been going to Berryhill downtown for years. As always we had top notch service and ambiance. However, we were disappointed with the quality of the food on our 4/12/14 visit. The pork, sage ravioli and steak were just ordinary, the olive chicken over risotto cake was way over seasoned for my taste. Two people in our party called me the next morning to ask if anyone else had become ill in the night. Luckily it was only the two people who ordered the short rib dish that became ill. We will return to Berryhill downtown to give it one more chance as the weather improves because we really enjoy the patio setting there. I really hope this was just an off night in the kitchen and not the new norm."

  • "Perfect! Delicious food. The lovely soft piano and guitar music playing on the background makes for a relaxing atmosphere and allows dinner conversation without having to talk over or compete with loud blaring track songs. The service was fantastic very attentive waiter without being intrusive. Upscale casual is the overall feeling. I'm sure Gordon Ramsey would be pleased!!"

  • "Sat outside on the patio on a beautiful day. Party of 5 each had a different menu item and we all loved our meals. The chicken pot pie is especially delicious. Thanks for a great meal, service and atmosphere."

  • "As always, the food and drink is excellent. Unfortunately our favorite servers were not working. The new guy was nice, but we missed Marcus and Ricky. This place has great food and atmosphere and is more affordable than the new chain steakhouse that just opened. Long live Berryhill, but please bring back the tiramisu."
