"Took my girlfriend there for our anniversary. It was amazing. Everything was perfect. I did a lot of research before to find a nice restaurant, and none of the photos online do this place justice; the aesthetics are amazing and the ambiance is very romantic. The steaks were great and desserts are enourmous. Definitely rivals the usual Ruths Chris and Mortons."

"Waitress wasn't knowledgeable with wine or drink list. She had very little personality, wasn't friendly at all and didn't know the menu well. Salad arrived with brown leaves on the outside of the quartered head of lettuce. Steak was good and so was the Merlot reduction. Cocktails and sides were average. Didn't help that the table near us had a party of five, three of which had no manners when it came to volume in a fine dinning restaurant. Wouldn't recommend this place in the future."

"Visiting Chicago for just a week, I stumbled upon Benny's as I was exploring the neighbor. Excellent wine list. Great steak house with the quintessential side dishes. Would definitely recommend."

"We have dined at many of Chicago's finest steakhouses. We were disappointed with the steaks at Benny's. They were overcooked and not of the quality I would expect for the price. However, the atmosphere and service were excellent as was the very knowledgeable staff. Overall an enjoyable experience."

"Decided to head here for a nice night out...we each started w/ a salad. I ordered the spinach salad w/ the fried egg...but they first brought out the wrong salad so I sent it back...then a few minutes later they brought out another salad. It was still wrong (balsamic dressing instead of the advertised warm bacon dressing) but as my husband had already finished his salad I just kept it. To our delight the next course was phenomenal! We each had the bone-in ribeye which could not have been better. I got the lobster mac & cheese - yummy (lives up to its reputation). Brussel sprouts were average. We skipped dessert...but table next to us had it...HUGE serving sizes. We opted to instead pig out on our entress, as they were so good!"

"Excellent steaks, had the prime filet mignon and a dry aged bone-in ribeye. Sommelier recommended a great wine within our budget (coming from California, the wine prices were higher than expected overall). Iceberg salad was a bit on the small side. Sides were above average but not fantastic. Service was attentive and engaging without being intrusive."

"The attention to detail was incredible. We went to celebrate our two year anniversary. Our menu was personalized with "Happy 2nd Year Anniversary." Just a small detail that made our dining experience a joy. The staff is extremely attentive and very knowledgeable on everything from food to drink."
