  • "I am the type to waste time in writing reviews, good or bad. However our experience at this restaurant is so worth noting. We were a party of 4 on a Saturday night. We were greeted and served by the owner who could not have been nicer. He went out of his way to accommodate 1 or 2 of our special requests. The atmosphere was very nice, on the romantic side, and the food was spectacular. I will definitely go back soon. I've already recommended Benissimo to several friends and family members."

  • "Some of our party's food portions were very small. Three pieces of veal slightly larger than a silver dollar for 24.95 is not acceptable. Plus it was tough. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn't receive our entre until 8:45. The environment was very loud as well. Like I said, we would not go back."

  • "We arrived at 7:15 pm and the restaurant was about 70% full. Became 100% full by 8 pm. We ordered our appetizers and food pretty quickly. 75 minutes in and we still did not have our main course. We noticed that there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant. There were about 20 tables and business was steady. As we looked around, we noticed that everyone was waiting and not eating. My wife kept looking for hidden cameras and for Gordon Ramsey to come out and announce we were on Kitchen Nightmares. We did not have dessert or coffee and the meal took almost three hours. Should have been in and out in an hour."

  • "My wife and I have been going for dinner since the restaurant opened. We live some distance away so we only get there once every few months but it's well worth the trip. We love the authentic Italian food (particularly the rabbit when they have it). Nice atmosphere and good people. Well worth a visit!"

  • "If they did something about the decor, this would be a great neighborhood restaurant. First, repaint. Second, get rid of the tin ceiling. All it does is increase the noise level and adds nothing to the ambiance. Food is very good and service was very prompt. Prices were excellent."

  • "We stumbled on this BYOB last Sunday and what a find. When we arrived we were greated by the owner and seated promptly. From the appetizer to desert the meal was perfect. The owner, who also is a waiter, treated us like we were VIP's. He recommended the Ricotta Cheese Cake( his mother's receipe from Sicily) and it was outstanding. Would highly recommend to anyone, try this "diamond in the rough"!"

  • "My husband and I went here during week for my birthday. Both our entrees were very tasty. The presention of the meals was also pleasant. The only thing my husband said that he would suggest to chef, "cut the calamari in the appetizer." Restaurant is definitely worth trying one or even two times."

Went at 5:30 no one else there - 2 of us after work - we ordered a grilled vegetable appetizer to split - after a little while a very nice platter of procuitte and cheese was presented to us. We both exclaimed how good it looked and maybe we would order it next time, but it was not what we had ordered - only to have the waiter argue with us that it was what we ordered - he reluctantly took it away and brought the other dish. Food was fine - but I do not have to go to a restaurant that does not believe the customer is always right."

  • "You never really know. Pick a place based on if it's an Open Table location is not always an indicator of quality. This place far exceeded expectations. From a grilled squid starter to a mushroom risotto, just fab! The ONLY thing I can criticize, is the portion size. They are HUGE. Didn't/could order dessert, there was just no room left. Recommend."
