Benihana - TorranceFun dining experienceI've always enjoyed the food and the entertaining chefs at Benihana's. The chef makes it entertaining by doing fun tricks while cooking your food to order. The only down side about this location is the parking, there's a bunch of restaurants in the general area, making parking a nightmare for any of the restaurants near.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMChef Valencia is great!I just visited Benihaha a couple weeks ago and complained about your chefs. But we were very lucky to have chef Valencia two days ago. He has a very happy attitude to his job so we enjoyed our dinner very much. There was a lot of food and it all came in stages so it didn't feel like you got too much all at once. The show they put pn is scripted and predictable but is ok nontheless. I wanted it to be on time hence reservation. Plus no room at table for gift bag but they did a GREAT job with show & bday festivities....definitely a wonderful restaurant & food is divine. Sometimes is difficult to reserve for a party, but that doesn't stop us from trying to dine there. A great recommendation to go enjoy with large groups and to celebrate something special. We both had the lunch duet with scallops and julienne beef with the chicken fried rice. The scallops and beef were cooked to perfection and the rice was very tasty as well. The portions were very generous. The service was excellent and our chef Aurelio was very personable, efficient and entertaining. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The food was delicious. The server's attention was excellent. In addition to the wonderful meal, The Samurai Treat which included everything (shrimp appetizer, soup, salad, veggies, filet mignon,jumbo shrimp, and ice cream or sherbert),we received a complimentary picture with the option to go on line and print additional copies.
