  • "Once again we enjoyed a wonderful meal at Benihanas. Our chef was Able. He is so much fun and very interactive. I can not remember our waiters name. But he was not good at all. If this had been our first visit, we may not have returned. But I will always request the chef and waiter that are my favorites. Chef Able and waiter Jordan. The manager,Annette, was very attentive. I did not request a chef and waiter on my reservation. But Annette was able to have Able as our chef. What a surprise! This place goes out of their way to make your dining experience outstanding!"

  • "I have eaten at several Benihana's locations and found this location the worst. My main concern is the food quality, which was well below the standards set by other Benihana's locations. I do not live in this area and will not make a special effort to eat at this location again. I do not recommend this restaurant for anyone."

  • "The experience my family and I had at this restaurant by far has to be the worst!!! I was born and raised in Hawaii, so I'm used to the Benihana experience. My wife frequently travels to Japan, so she too is aware of the Benihana experience. To start off, I made reservations for a specific time. When we got there, they sat us at a table that was already filled by another family. (2 adults / 3 children). Bottom line it was cramped and uncomfortable. Second, the food we had was burnt. Third, our waitress acted as though she was being bother whenever we asked for something. But most of all, we were expecting a show by our chef but didn't get any. We spent over $100.00 for a show we didn't get. There's more to our experience."

  • "Ty, our waiter, was superbly knowledgeable of the menu and attentive to our needs, particularly where a gluten allergy was concerned, and he put in the extra effort to accommodate each of us. Abel, our chef, was the most entertaining and skilled chef we've had in several visits. We especially appreciated the way he played with the kids. These two gentlemen represent Benihana well, and we look forward to coming back."

  • "had a reservation for 8:00, but had to wait 45 minutes when we got there. finally sat down at our table and ended up waiting another 10 minutes on our drinks. Ended up leaving with nothing but a sour taste in our mouths. will not go to this location again"

  • "Unfortunately is was Saturday of Valentines Weekend but we were celebrating a Birthday. Had 8:45 reservations. Checked in at 8:15. Told we had a 30 minute wait. Turned into over an hour wait. Had to stand the entire time. Finally seated at 10:00. Waited another 40 minutes for a cook (Not enough cooks to cover all the tables.) The cook left the table 3 times because he didn't have enough food on his cart. Disappointing show put on by the cook. 12:30 when we walked out the door. Will never ever go back. They should never accept that many reservations if they can't handle the crowd."

  • "We came there for valentines day and I had heard so many great things about this place and for as expensive as it is you would expect it to be good also the food taste horrible there was no flavor in our Food and I paid 25 for my meal:.. Either their cooks need to be better trained or need to re think their menu"

  • "We had reservations at 8, didn't get seated until 840. I can handle a restaurant being busy and having to wait, that happens. What I can't handle is we didn't finish our meal and leave until almost 1100. They may have been understaffed that night but regardless, management did a poor job making sure the staff was timely and customers were taken care of timely. I will not be back anytime soon."

  • "We totally enjoyed our evening. Having a reservation helped though. We weren't stuck in a waiting area for long. The wait staff were pleasant and attentive. The chefs put on a really good show, although ours seemed to be a little less entertaining than others around us, we still had a great time. The food was excellent, and prepared just as requested!"

  • "We had dinner at Benihanas on Valentines day which is also our anniversary. Our chef was Able and he was the best chef we have ever had there. He was very entertaining and funny plus a great chef! Our waiter was Jordan and he was just as good at his job as the chef was at his job. Next time I am going to see if we can get the same chef and waiter. They were FABULOUS!!!!!"

  • "We had a reservation at 8:30, or not sat until 9:15. Chef did not arrive until 10 o'clock. Yes, this was Valentine's Day but they did not have enough staff to keep up with the amount of people who arrived. With a reservation you should not have to wait that long to be sat, especially considering it was a late reservation anyways. Food was good, just way too long to wait."

  • "After spending six months in Afghanistan, I thought it would be nice to take my out for a nice dinner. We had a reservation for 7:00 pm, and we showed up about five minutes late. We were told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. When I asked about our reservation time, we were simply told that they were busy. We were finally seated at 7:55 pm, and waited until 8:10 for our server to come to the table. She took the drink order and returned at 8:20 with some of the drinks. The cook arrived at 8:45. We heard almost nothing he said while cooking because of the noise. Our steamed rice never arrived and both drink orders were incorrect. At least the food was good; the service was terrible."

  • "My birthday was the cause of this celebratory occasion. Our party included our grandsons, our daughter and her husband, my husband and myself. We were seated immediately upon entering Benihanas. The wait staff saw to our every need in a timely manner, The stars of the show were the chef and the food he prepared. From the moment he appeared at our table we were entertained with his wit and with his culinary flair. We clapped and cheered in awe of his talent. The food was absolutely delicious! Our grandsons insisted that we return for each of our birthdays and celebration in-between. Thank you, Benihana for creating such a delightful experience!"

  • "The waitress took the order, poured the $50 wine once then was scarce. Everything os an add - stir fry rice, kids noodles, etc. They've eliminated fire from the show due to liability...no wonder when you pack people in like sardines in front of 1000 degree grills with about 30 in the same large room. The food was passable, the ginger salad dressing made me gag and I found serving the vegetables separately to be odd and annoying. To me, teppan grills only exist for kids birthday parties and drinking binges. So why did they have no ketchup for my 7 year old's ovepriced steak. It's not like this is real Japanese fare and the chef would be insulted. Clothes smelled of cooking oil so bad we hung them outside. Will need dry cleaning."

  • "We had a party of 4, two of which were kids ages 6 & 7. We were 1/2 early for our reservation, but was promptly seated. We all enjoyed the "show" as our meal was prepared. Food was okay, nothing spectacular, and the prices are a little higher than other Japanese stake houses, but it overall it was a decent family dining experience."

  • "This visit started poorly and didn't get better. The sole bright spot was our chef, who was funny and had some new "material" that we hadn't seen before. The problems started when we first arrived. We had a 7:00 p.m. reservation and arrived a little before 7. When we hadn't been seated by 7:20, we checked and were told that we wouldn't be seated for another 45 minutes even though we had a reservation! With a little perseverance, we were seated at a table and left unattended for another 15-20 minutes. The service from our waitress was very poor, our orders were not recorded properly and our glasses were empty much of the time. Even our birthday photo was poor. Hopefully this is not the new normal for the Woodlands Benihana."

  • "I went on New Year's Day. We were told they only had 1 server, so we had to wait a bit past our reservation time. 3 other parties were seated with my small group of 3 who all chose to leave because they found out that only dinner menu was served that day. After waiting once more for them to seat another group with us, I was told that me and my 2 guests who were now the only ones at the table couldn't sit together so as to accommodate a new group that they were reseating with us. We were there 1st and had been waiting through 3 rotations of additional guests. That was the last straw. We left before ordering. If I pay $100 for lunch, I should get to sit with the people I came with."

  • "We went to Benihana for our 42nd anniversary dinner and really enjoyed it. We started off with Mai Tai's which were very good and rather potent. I would say one of the better mai tai's I've had. We ordered the filet mignon - chicken for 2 dinner which was reasonable at $50. I was somewhat surprised that the fried rice was extra but it was very good so didn't mind. The table chef was excellent and entertaining. We were seated with a mother - graduate school daughter pair and a mother with her 2 children who were well behaved. All in all, a very sociable table so we enjoyed the company. All the food was properly prepared and quite tasty. Last, the green tea ice cream had a pleasant, subtle tea flavor that I would order again."

  • "The food is mediocre, the prices are crazy high on everything, and the wait time for a table in the main dining hall was insane, even with a reservation and only two people. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except maybe a large group with children. Even then, go to Abby other hibachi grill for a comparable experience and probably pay less. I mean, the sushi was mediocre and over three dollars a piece and they had five total options!"

My kids love the place which is why we go... The fried rice is very good. Overall a good place to eat."
