If you’ve never been to Benihana before, let us tell you what you can expect: Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups of eight to ten, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood.

Or you can visit our sushi lounge where a talented sushi chef will prepare the freshest sashimi, maki and signature sushi rolls with the same flair that made Benihana a legend in Japanese cuisine. Smaller tables and more intimate seating is available in the lounge or bar on a first-come, first-served basis, whether you’re looking to enjoy one of our delicious Benihana Teppanyaki entrées or our amazing selection of sushi!

  • "We went to the one in Sugar Land on Wednesday evening. As my husband said - you pay for the experience. So now I've experienced it. I am good. Nothing special about the chicken my husband ate. My veggies were so overlooked that I could have mashed them like potatoes. If you like vegetables that soft then go for it. Service- we were served. No one was rude and we did get our drinks. But NO smile from the person who seated us and NO smile from the waitress. I mean, fake it for two minutes. That's what you're paid for. I would have been EXTREMELY disappointed if this had been a special occasion."

  • "The food was okay, but, however the cook was vert indifferent and unfair. He gave the extra food to a few white people, not the kids who sorround to have fun. The cook was very indifferent. Not talking, only performed a few tricks becaus he had to. Don't show any single enthiastic energy towards his cooking and entertaining the customers. It was such a awful experience. The only reason that I went is kids liked it and asked for. I regreted to give him tips for his service."

  • "The one thing I like about eating at Benihana is you see your food prepared in front of you…so you know what you are getting. I took my sister and her family out for her 50th birthday. Our dishes ranged from steak, seafood, & chicken. Everyone was pleased with their food; they took a photo of all of us and gave it to my sister…not to mention sung happy birthday to her. All seven of us enjoyed the meal and the experience. "

We eat here 3-4 times a year as a whole group and enjoy ourselves everytime. Even with reservations there is still a wait and that's my only complaint. Luckily it's only a 15-20 minute wait. It's really difficult to keep a toddler satisfied from waiting to be seated til the end of the meal."

  • "We have eaten at other Benihana's where the seating is more "clustered" and in booths, which tends to muffle some of the noise. The Sugar Land location was more open, and maybe because of that, plus the early time of our reservation (6:30 p.m) and the fact that there were a couple of birthday celebrations going on, it was VERY noisy. Add to that the unnecessary (or maybe for dramatic flair) clanging of the cooks' metal spatulas against the grills, my husband who wears a hearing aid was cringing for the first half hour we were there. Had we not been there with guests, he probably would have insisted we leave. The noise did come down to a somewhat tolerable level after a while, but we still understood little of what our cook was saying."

This was our "date night" without children & a special occasion at that. I feel that we should have been asked if we minded being sat with children - with it being Valentines Day. Our chef was just going through the motions, was not interactive or happy to be there, so it put an even bigger damper on the evening. I could have been so much happier with Chinese delivery and a bottle of wine in the privacy of my own home."
