  • "We had 8 in our group and our food ranged from seafood to chicken to steak and everything was cooked exactly to our specifications! The food was delicious and our waitress was attentive enough. We eat here 3-4 times a year as a whole group and enjoy ourselves everytime. Even with reservations there is still a wait and that's my only complaint. Luckily it's only a 15-20 minute wait. It's really difficult to keep a toddler satisfied from waiting to be seated til the end of the meal."

  • "My husband and I made reservations a month in advance for what we thought was going to be a special occasion. We were seated quickly however, we were seated at a table with small children. This was our "date night" without children & a special occasion at that. I feel that we should have been asked if we minded being sat with children - with it being Valentines Day. Our chef was just going through the motions, was not interactive or happy to be there, so it put an even bigger damper on the evening. I could have been so much happier with Chinese delivery and a bottle of wine in the privacy of my own home."

  • "We have eaten at other Benihana's where the seating is more "clustered" and in booths, which tends to muffle some of the noise. The Sugar Land location was more open, and maybe because of that, plus the early time of our reservation (6:30 p.m) and the fact that there were a couple of birthday celebrations going on, it was VERY noisy. Add to that the unnecessary (or maybe for dramatic flair) clanging of the cooks' metal spatulas against the grills, my husband who wears a hearing aid was cringing for the first half hour we were there. Had we not been there with guests, he probably would have insisted we leave. The noise did come down to a somewhat tolerable level after a while, but we still understood little of what our cook was saying."

  • "TOOOO loud. Slow service. We noticed tables seated after ours, receiving timely sertvice. Soup & salad were typically good. The beef was tough, chicken was dry. No typical "show" or enthusiasm by the table chef. It was Valentine's night, so, why expect better."

We have young kids and the restaurant atmosphere is very tolerant to young kids that don't always stay quiet. The kids also love watching the chefs perform."

They enjoyed the little shows the chef prepared. The staff was very polite, friendly and attended to our needs. It was a discrpency with the bill becuase we had 2 borthday certificates and they wouldnt alllow us to have one check. overall it was great."

He was not fair in distributing the food. Our portion was much less than the ones who sat next to us. The fried rice was the worst one which I ever had with Hibachi."

  • "This is a fun and different kind of food place then I've ever been. We went on New Years so they had a limited menu which bummed me out a little as what I had wanted was not on it. But what I did order was yummy! You get so much food that I was full by the time my entree was done and so I boxed it up and ate it for dinner the next night. I did try some of it there since it's always better fresh. I can't wait to take my family there."

  • "Be it with family or friends, Benihana is a great place for meeting up for lunch or dinner. There are 3 Benihana locations in the Greater Houston/Southwest Houston area. I've been to all 3, and this one is my favorite. The service was great. The chef was friendly and funny and was good at his job. The food was delicious. There were 5 birthday parties going on while we were there that day, so the singing by the staff was getting kind of repetitive, but I guess there really isn't anything they can do about that. While the menu items and the prices don't exactly allow diners to come regularly, but special occasions and social gatherings would be perfect to have at this Benihana."

  • "I received a $30 birthday certificate from Benihana. It was the last day to get to use it so we went out for dinner. the food and company was fabulous. Unfortunately since it was the day after Christmas, it was very busy, and the time waiting on our chef was far greater than normal. That was the only negative. I should have known better. Would not discourage us from going back, the food is Wonderful!"

  • "Excellent Restaurant but can be managed better. Though we came by appointment, we waited extra 40 minutes. During dine in, I have noticed empty tables but cannot be used probably due to lack of cooks. Quality of spices were excellent; rice was excellent; meats are not that great; we have tried beef and chicken. Service during dine in by rather than the cook was ok but can be made better. My kid got bored but later when the cook started, she started enjoying. Highly recommend this place."
