The host made sure our glasses were never empty and that we were enjoying our meal; the chef was very friendly and personable; and the ambiance was wonderful. I remember the chefs doing more tricks with the food and utensils the last time I was there, but their service made up for the missing entertainment. Definitely recommend this restaurant for special occasions since it can be pricey. I loved being serenaded for my birthday by one of the sushi chefs! It was so sweet!"

  • "Three of us had dinner in honor of my husband's 65th birthday. All three of us disliked the food immensely. My $25 filet mignon was full of fat--I left the fat on a napkin. It did not taste like filet at all. The shrimp and vegetables were quite good. My husband was given a $100 gift certificate for Christmas. He has $29 left on the certificate. We definitely will not go back so we plan to give the remaining $29 to my niece who highly recommended this restaurant. Very, very disappointing."

  • "It doesn't matter if the chef is new or a seasoned veteran, they always put on a good show. The chefs are especially good at entertaining children. The food is prepared right in front of you. We've never had bad food . . . it has always been fresh and delicious. This is our favorite go-to place for birthdays and special occasions."

  • "Been here dozens of times - Every time I come the food tastes amazing. However, not the case on my bday 3/26 - I was underwhelmed & disappointed. Our Chefs was Tracy. He was friendly but his cooking skills weren't great. We ordered 4 orders of fried rice between the two of us - The rice was smashed, & tasted more like the burnt stuff you scrape off the grill at the end. The Mushrooms & Onions were under cooked, zucchini over cooked, soaked in soy sauce & covered in sesame seeds. My filet - covered in black pepper, my friends steak still had all the fat on it. Not to mention, food was flying everywhere when he was cooking, and he even managed to cut himself during the "show" as well. Typically I LOVE coming here -but not the other night."

Disappointed at first due to noise level...but when the cook came and prepared the food things got better. Food was very good but a little pricey. Next time we'll probably go with the kids for lunch. not the romantic quiet meal we had hoped for."

  • "First off our reservation was for 7:30 we got there on time and still had to wait an hour ...... (what's the point of a reservation? ??) Our chef was awesome we had Daniel, our server was terrible she didn't bring out drinks for at least 20 min after she took our order and then we had to ask for refills ...its like she didn't even check up on us, horrible service I think her name was isabel ? She was latina I believe. . Anyway other than that it was good!"

  • "We were seated about 30 minutes after our reservation start time of 5:30. 3 seating tables at the rear of the restaurant were empty and about 15 + people were waiting up front for as long as we did. The whole meal took about 2 hours, which was a nice show and tasty. Only 2 employees did the Bday clap while all the other tables got 5-6. I expected more from the whole experience, which was our first time here."

  • "We went out with one other couple for a total of 4. The food was FABULOUS! The service was very attentive. Our cook, Poli, was a lot of fun, very experienced, great personality! He kept us entertained while Rafael kept our glasses full. Thoroughtly enjoyed our experience and dinner. The filet mignon and chicken was flavored just right and very juicy. In fact all of the food was soooo good and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection by Poli. We enjoyed talking to the other two couples at our table. Everybody seemed to be having a good time. Even the pictures turned out cute! We will be back to try something different another time."

  • "Took my wife here for V Day. She was not happy at first... thought it was a stupid idea and not romantic at all. She ended up having more fun here than any dinner I have ever had with her. She laughed all night with the entertaining chefs and the experience of meeting new people. Food is pretty good, but not the most flavorful of meat... but the experience of dining there was worth it all. All in all a great experience for the both of us. But just a warning, this is not the place to take someone if you are hungry, food prep takes a LONG time due to the unique entertainment. Also, with tip it cost us about $94 and we don't drink anything but water, so don't choke when you get the bill."

  • "My major concern was that my party was not allowed to be seated until the entire party was present. So while waiting for one member out of our seven to arrive, we were relegated to the smallish lounge area and offered overpriced drinks as there was no happy hour. It took awhile for our chef to get to our table as there was a longer than anticipated delay between the soup, salad and chef-prepared appetizers. (By the way the soup and salad are one-size/type-fits-all and no modifications were offered.) Our server disappeared for awhile but once the chef arrived it was a delightful experience. The food while fresh and entertainingly prepared, was mediocre and lacked depth flavor-wise. However, our chef was friendly, competent and accomodating."

  • "This was without a doubt the smallest Benihana I've been to, but what they lack in size they make up for in quality and fun. Our chef, Casey was entertaining AND make excellent food, and that's a rarity. We were there to celebrate my grNddaughters birthday, and it was the last meal of a weekend trip to Reno, and certainly the best. The only critique I have is minor, and that's that the salad needed a little more ginger dressing. Overall a great experience!"

  • "Went for wife's birthday and the service staff were great. What was not great was the chef. The shrimp app was over cooked and tough. On to the lobster and that was over cooked as well with burn marks. The chef tried again with another lobster and this time under cooked it. Fried rice was over cooked as well with burnt and black onions. Seemed like the cooktop was way too high as after every food item was cooked the chef was scraping black and burnt stuff off the cooktop. By this time we had had enough and left. Seems like the top chefs work the weekends and this was on a Thursday and we got a rookie."

  • "I had a reservation for 7 pm on a Saturday night. We, along with other 7 pm reservations, didn't get seated until after 8 pm. I can only imagine that the restaurant was short-staffed or overbooked. Either way, having a reservation was meaningless, as everyone who came in appeared to have one. Aside from the wait, the service was very good. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was the usual fun Benihana experience. The food was very good, as you would expect. It wasn't as much fun as other times I've been, because the patrons were pretty grumpy about the long wait."
