Almost every table had a birthday person with Happy Birthday being heard throughout the evening. The choice of selections was good. However, we had to wait 40 minutes or more after we had put in our order before the chef came over to our table. The entire dinner took over 2 hours. I felt sorry for the people who ordered steaks as they had to wait until all the seafood and chicken items were done before their steaks were cooked. Our chef was energetic and made sure to interact with our party of five and the party of two sitting across from us at our station.
I ordered the Mango Salmon dish and it was prepared very well. The chef paid attention to our requests (my younger sister asked for the "spicy" sauce on the side and the chef accommodated her request).

The only negative, I was told the Teppan Bar could accommodate 10-11 people. We had a party of 10 and it was extremely tight. It was uncomfortable but we made do.

Although there are some other finely managed locations (Carlsbad comes to mind), this Benehana location always delivers a phenomenal experience. If I lived closer to this location I would easily be here a couple of time a time a month! My kid always look forward to see "Spongebob" that is done by the chef while cooking the eggs. You get great sushi and sashimi selection which is not to be an appetizer for some if your going to have an entree.
The entree is really filling and good tasting. You get soup, shrimp appetizer, veggies
, rice and then the meat or seafood depending on your order. You get two sauces, one for the meat and the other for seafood and vegetable.
