  • "They're too many stipulations with the birthday coupon and a 20.00 gratuity being automatically added to the bill for a free 30.00 birthday meal wasn't worth the visit. The waitress knew it was automatically added and she barely came to the table. I went to the bar myself to order my drinks. Someone automatically had to come with me in order to even get that 30.00 free then to add a gratuity in that amount for 2 people was ridiculous. I was very insulted by that and displeased. I come there a lot and that makes me not want to come back bc of all the stipulations..."

  • "the food was good but the ingredient list could be a little more detailed. my wife doesn't eat onions and when the stuff came out EVERYTHING had onions. also, you use garlic butter on something which gives my mom acid reflux badly. the dishes we ordered, hibachi chicken, were supposed to come with mushrooms in them but there weren't any in them at all. as far as seasoning is the hibachi chicken supposed to ahave any sauce or just lemon squeezed on it? all we got was lemon. the one dish that had a sauce was mine cause i asked for teriyaki and there was only a tiny bit put in it. it was good but defnitely could have been better."

  • "This was my first time at this restaurant and I was very impressed! I made my reservation online the night before and was seated less than 10 minutes after arriving. Our server was very plesant and courteous. She had a smile on her face every time she arrived at the table. I was disappointed when the couple beside me skipped out on the bill!! She appeared very upset which is totally understandable. But other than that the chef was very entertaining his name was Miguel I believe. Overall a great place for special occasions and with big groups!"

  • "Our Chef Daniel was very accommodating. He prepared meals that catered to each individual preference and special needs. The server on the other hand was nice but not very attentive. Daniel had to ask another server to find her so that she can take away empty glasses, soup and salad bowls. Other than that they handled our large party of 13 and everyone left happy."

  • "While the food was great, we started at one table and were moved to another due to the non working cook top. Once we were moved it took quite a while for the cooking surface to heat up and during this time we were not offered any type of appetizer or drinks while we waited. The table we were moved to sat in front of the kitchen door, next to the server's station, and behind the bar so the traffic of people was awful and the room temperature was drafty. I was disappointed in my dinner this time around."

  • "I visited recently to celebrate my son's 17th birthday and what an awesome time we had. Reservations were made via Open Table, so we did not have much of a wait. The staff was very friendly and professional. I must say that our entire party of 9 thoroughly enjoyed Tony and Jenny, they were the BEST! We look forward to visiting again soon and will definitely seek them out if they are available. I have been to this location many times and have loved the experience with the many different cooks, but Tony was definitely one of a kind. Job well done!"

  • "Need to separate very large table/groups from other patrons. Noise level is very distracting. Our server was "harassed" by two patrons at our table who demanded "special" preparation of two rice bowls without this and extra that. Due to the distraction, our meals were not prepared correctly, we didn't even get our appetizer. My family used to frequent this restaurant, 9-12 times per year. Not sure we'll be back anytime soon, especially with the opening of two new premium restaurants (Seasons 52 and Capital Grille) right around the corner within the next two weeks. When we pointed out our disappointment to the server and manager, nothing happened. My husband's birthday was not "Happy". Didn't even get the commemorative photo. Poor Service!!"

  • "We had not been to Benihana's in years, and a friend suggested we try it. Love OpenTable.....and it worked. Arrived on time, waited about 5 minutes for our table.....we wound up with two young women and their "children"....a teenage boy, a two year old and two other little boys. The place is too bright and there were two tables close by with people yelling at the top of their lungs....guess they thought they were home. Our waitress seemed constantly flustered.....we ordered sushi and she forgot to put the order in. The chef did a good job with the steak and chicken we ordered. The food was just "OK" in our opinion. The drinks are way over-priced. We also didn't get the $30 off for my husband's birthday. The experience was just so-so."

  • "the food taste great, however, when we go out to eat, we want to have our "Night Out' which Benihana's REFUSES to let you have. They insist on taking your drink order, appetizer order and food order all at once. Therefore, you get everything at the same time and there isn't even room for it all at the same time, so we usually forego the soup or the salad or do not order an appetizer. We have spoke to them everytime we go there on the front end and it does no good. They just want you in and out. We could just as easily be at a fast food restaurant. No fun at all. Therefore, WE RARELY EVER GO ANYMORE! And we are not the only ones, we know quite a few people that feel the same way."

  • "My food and service was excellent at Benihana. My issue is when I paid my check and what I designated as the tip on 3 different checks in our party. One at the bar, one to go order, one dine in. On all three checks, even though we were very clear, the restaurant designated and charged their own tips. This happened to us back in 09/2013. I saw a story on "The Talk" back in September 2013 about restaurants charging their own unauthorized tips and thought it would never happen to me. Not only did it happen then it happened again on December 4, 2013! If I tell you what I want to leave as a tip, the restaurant should not decide to charge what they want you to pay in tipping. Deceptive behavior!"
