Our Chef was very funny and enthusiastic..very talented although he said that it was his "first" day (haha). I usually do hibachi on special occasions like Mother's Day or Anniversaries but sometimes I'll just go to the sushi bar for two. And still, that's never a disappointment. This is really just the luck of the chef you get though, around us I saw plenty of very dynamic chefs and plenty of laughter.

It is a lot of fun and if you have not gone before, you need to go for dinner after that i would go for lunch. It is cheaper and it is almost the same food. We signed up for their email club and we get 30.00 for dinner. This used to be alpt but i feel like they have raised thier prices and this will get you a dinner(barely).

One of our group had never been to Benihana so the entire visit was great to see through her eyes. Our server, Jake, was excellent! He focused on only one member of the group, and didn't seem interested in the rest. We have been to several restaurants like Benihana, and he was the least skilled. The food was awesome, service was great, it remains one of our favorite restaurants. Because they cook I front of you and the cooks are so talented its almost like dinner and a show! The chefs have many jokes and tricks up thier sleeves that make sure every meal is not only tasty but fun.
I highly recommend taking a group with. The cooking tables seat eight each and seeing first timers faces is so fun. The prices for lunch run about $15 so making this a monthly eating out experiance is possible. He called a manager over and they promptly moved us to another table, carrying all of our drinks and other items for us and included a round of drinks on the house. Everyone kept apologizing profusely, but really they did the right thing. They moved us, gave us a free drink, and we went on with our dinner. The servers were very nice as well. They checked on us contantly. That is a major fator fr having a great restaurant! I've been to other places in which the sever comes only once. We got there about 10 minutes prior to our reservation and our table was ready right on time. Dining here is as much show as it is great fresh food and quality cuts of meat. It's a festive atmosphere although hard to have a conversation with the person across from you as the grill is the "table", but with all the chef antics going on, you don't really talk. And once you get your hands on the shrimp sauce your mouth is full anyway, stuffing yourself with food cooked in butter. What's to discuss? This place is awesome fun, a special treat kind of place for us and not cheap. There are several unique sushi rolls exclusive to Benihana and are very good. My friend enjoys everything but sushi, and there are plenty of exquisite mouthwatering choices for those who are not sushi enthusiasts. If you prefer anything other than Teppanyaki, the only option you have for seating is 'the lounge', which is a small circular area in the middle of the restaurant, including a sushi bar, three tall tables with bar stools, and a cresent 'booth' with four or five small tables between the booth and another chair.
