I truly enjoyed myself and I can't wait to come again."

  • "Mixture of ages and tastes were all pleased with the entertainment and food at Benihana Westheimer in Houston. We had an overfull table (11) by request, and the staff was very accommodating and gracious. There was a bit of a delay at the door when we entered, seems too many tables of customers showed up all at once. But other than that brief awkward delay, a good time and good meal was had by all. Thanks Ito for preparing a scrumptious meal."

  • "This was my first experience here and my last. The service was horrible. The waitress that served our table never came to check on us to see if we needed refills or anything. She completely ignored us the entire time we were there. When we finally got her attention, she had an attitude and did not want to serve us. The only time she seemed to be friendly was when our meal was over. She was rushing us out the door and I pay my money just like everyone else. That kind of service is deplorable and made me want to get up and walk out mid meal. The food was not worth the price. It ruined my first time there and I would never go back again. I would rather take my money else where. Would never recommended this place to anyone. Waste"

  • "Let's face it if you've seen one onion ring volcano/train you've seen enough but the kids can't get enough of them. If you make a reservation plan on 30 minutes before you see a cook.I watched 3 tables and it was the same at all 3. Juan our "Japanese" chef was fine but was bored with the monotony of the presentation too. The valet blocks off all of the parking, which is 10 feet from the front door. Really? A valet? Tough to tip an irritation. If you're guests are over 12 go somewhere else."

  • "We always have a good meal at Benihana. Today was no different. Chef Juan did all the same old hibachi show tricks...Japanese "egg roll", smoke from the stack of onion, heart shaped fried rice...which I could definitely do without, but my 3-year-old got a kick out of it."

  • "I was a bit dissapointed with our table chef. It was a special dinner for me and my parents as they were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, his performance was not as enthusiastic as teh other chefs we saw in the restaurant. His name was Henry and he said he had been cooking for 17 years at that same location so Im not sure if he is just bored with his job at this point in his career. It would have been nice to have a better show. Also, the shrimp used in our appetizers were very small."

  • "I've heard from friends other hibachi places do the same little tricks for 1/5 the price. Even so, the experience was pleasant. Parking was a nightmare. I made reservations a couple of days before and they seated us immediately. We waited a while for drinks and longer for them to fill the table (made for 8). The crying babies (one at every table - I am not kidding) were almost unbearable. I made reservations after 9 to try to avoid that. Our chef did a great job of timing the cooking but was stony and expressionless the entire time and spoke so quietly he was impossible to hear. The chef did a great job with the steak, cooking them both to order perfectly. When you leave somewhere full of yummy food, it's hard to be too upset."

The hibachi show was great as usual, our chef (Jorge) was generous and entertaining, and each entree was not only delectable but also beautifully prepared. Our waitress was extremely attentive and very kind. Couldn't ask for a better dinner nor experience. We LOVE Benihana! It never disappoints!"

  • "Now you even have to pay for their famous fried rice. It used to come with the entrees but now you have to pay $3.50 for that. The chef doesn't do as many tricks any more. No flaming volcano, no tossing shrimp to someone's mouth. Just kind of hurry up and get you out of there. It used to be fun to visit. I doubt I will go back again."

  • "We waited 20 mins for our table's water and our waitress forgot our saki and beer for saki bombs and to wait another 10 mins for those. The chef was quiet but nice. He was boring from other chefs we have had at benihanna. Unfortunately we were seated with a group of very boring people.! I asked a g irl sitting next to me what she ordered she refused to speak to me. Benihanna is about the g roup and table experience! ! It was very loud the loudes benihanna ive ever been too. Almost chaos. The food was good not great. I probably wont be back."

  • "I made our reservations for 5:00 a couple of days prior to dining. We arrived probably 4:50. We were told it would be a minute or two. So we waited until about 5ish and was seated. Our drink order and food order was taken right away and then we sat and waited and waited. At 5:50, I asked a man that worked there what the hold up was. . . .he said he would check. Around 6:00 a cook showed up and then preceded to tell us that the grill had not been turned on and it would be an additional 10 minutes. So, needless to say it was not a good experience. The food was good but they need to work on their scheduling."

  • "I invited several of my best friends here to celebrate my return home after several years. And i must say it was exquisite! The food was superb, the service was very good as well, everyone was so cheerful and polite. Everything turned out great and we all had a wonderful time. The reservations had to be changed a few times. But the host was very gracious and continued to be polite and helpful despite the confusion, very professional! Would DEFINITELY come back again, with or without a group. The chef was also very considerate of my friends shrimp allergy. And for the meal, the sake, the icecream and the experience the price was very reasonable. Thank you so much for making our little get together so special. Arigatou gozaimasu! ^^"

I really enjoy watching the chefs prepare the food in front of us. The chef we had this time did not have as much personality as chefs before but he was still a very good chef."
