If you’ve never been to Benihana before, let us tell you what you can expect: Our guests are seated at communal tables in groups of eight to ten, where your personal chef will perform the ancient art of Teppanyaki. Watch as we slice and dice, preparing a meal that will dazzle your eyes as well taste buds, whether you choose mouth-watering steak, tender chicken or succulent seafood.

Or you can visit our sushi lounge where a talented sushi chef will prepare the freshest sashimi, maki and signature sushi rolls with the same flair that made Benihana a legend in Japanese cuisine. Smaller tables and more intimate seating is available in the lounge or bar on a first-come, first-served basis, whether you’re looking to enjoy one of our delicious Benihana Teppanyaki entrées or our amazing selection of sushi!

  • "The shrimp and lobster dinner I had was old and overcooked. I wasn't expecting gourmet but when paying $35.00, I did expect decent food. Table was small and cramped and the chef had to serve the dinner without the vegetables as he couldn't coordinate the meals. When you get the zucchini half way through the meal and the onions after you have finished, something is wrong. My wife's meal wasn't any better. I have dined at similar restaurants before, so I know how things should have gone. My experience was so bad, that we decided to start eating at home. We both agreed that even if the food was free, we would not eat there again."

The entire table complained about the fried rice. He told us it was sushi rice because they ran out of the rice for fried rice and that we should complain but don't tell the manager he told us about the rice."

When we were taken/herded to out table the hostess never even waited for our whole party to be presant, as one was paying the bar bill. Throughout the whole experience we felt like a spectator in a zoo. Sorry !"

However the hostess are HORRIBLE, I had a reservation at 8pm, arrived at 7:40pm did not get a clicker and at 8:10 went up to them again and apparently the hostess forget to check me and my family in. We didn't sit until 8:30pm and people that arrived after us, sat before us. so after waiting for almost 1hr with reservations, the waitress and chef were amazing. Just really disappointed with the waiting time granted it was week day, they weren't crowded there was no reason to make us wait like that."

  • "My husband and I went to Benihana's for our anniversary two days ago. We were very dissaipointed with the service, the chef Sergio was great, but the waitress was horrible, she spilled sauce on my dress and barely apologized, then disappeared for a while until I had to beg her for soda water to clean my dress. Also, a family next to us were there celebrating the dad's birthday, the staff knew it was a birthday and they did not bother to properly celebrate it, nor did they took a picture of the family. That family were also complaining about the service to us too. It seems to me the bad service was due to the waitress's lack of interest in making sure out table was taken care off."

The restaurant is dated and needs a bit of refreshing. The windows overlooking the intracoastal waterway were covered with moisture -- between the panes of glass -- blocking the beautiful view."

  • "We had to ask for clean plates. The food wasn't really seasoned well, I came for the fried rice and I can cook better than what was cooked there. I've been to other Japanese steakhouses and the good provided is much more than this. Also, I have a shellfish allergy... Chef tried to give me shrimp and I had to physically put my hand out to stop him. Instead of cooking rice, veggies, steak & then shrimp, he cooked veggies with the shrimp so I had to pass on eating vegetables which I love! Really disappointing especially when I told him AND the waitress. I wouldn't go back there again. They don't really pay attention to you & it's more of a "get people in and out" mentality. Service / cleanliness/ good food is an afterthought."

  • "OMG our chef Richard was soooo good and the food was the best I ever tasted at that location. However, our waitress was rude and her attitude sucked! I go there all the time and she served us before I don't know why this time her attiude sucked. I had to tell her four times I wanted my appertizer on a receipt by itself. Also, I order my drink before my sister. The waitress came ten mins later without my corona beer and my sister order her cocktail after. Then the waitress came back 5 mins later with my sister drink and not with my drink and when I asked her if she forgot about my corona she had a attitude. Honestly, a beer is the easiest drink to grab I didn't understand why she had a attitude when I asked her about the status of my drink."

  • "We had a 7:30 reservation for dinner for 2. We arrived early and took advantage of the happy hour. We noticed that the hh prices had gone up, some substantially and we probably wont go back to partake in just hh again because of this. Still good service and drinks! We waited to be paged for dinner until about 8PM. It was busy and we finished our soup and salad before a chef made it to the table. Regardless, our chef Joel was great! Did things the others don't. Food and drink wonderful as usual. Always consistent with food! Top quality!"

  • "I usually have a great experience when coming here, however, on this occasion it wasn't very pleasant. Our server was great with a good personality, but the chef was terrible. We sat for almost an hour before the chef came to the table and although the manager sent an appetizer, it didn't change the fact that the chef was boring, did not entertain the table or provide for a fun experience."
