Your entire party must be present in order to be seated. Service was quick and our cook was good.The entertainment was not very original.They do the same "tricks" with shrimp tails, eggs, and volcano onion rings every time we go.Frankly, I don't need my cook to be funny, just a good cook. Long story short, their ventilation system needs improvement, it can get very smokey and irritating.We were shocked when the bill came. $200.00 for a family of 5. They also add in a "recommended" tip of 18%, so our bill came to $230.00 for lunch.Portions are not very large.More vegetables (not onions) are needed! It is truly special for kids and they feel quite special (Grandma's too). First visit was my suggestion but this time it was specifically because he requested it. Having been to Benihana - Broomfield, I was disappointed how dark it was inside the Denver location. I felt in some ways that we were stuck in a black hole. Their chef did the regular show which was very entertaining for the kids at the table. Food was excellent as was service. You definitely pay for the experience more so than the food but it is a delicious place to go. Sitting family style is a nice change. A little loud but not overwhelming. If you are going for conversation, this is not the environment. I worked hard to save for the meal and to my absolute surprise the other 6 people we shared a table with paid for our meal because he felt we were good "kids" who were polite, looked good together and brought back memories of his time at prom. He ended up paying for our meal although I still tipped out the chef and server.
