The MOD came by several times to check on us which is also very good, but the way he asked us questions it seemed like he was doubting the level of service his wait staff was providing us. His questions combined with his tone made it seem like he wasn't sincere in asking us as much as it seemed like he was doubting his servers. This happened a few times during lunch. I liked his attentiveness, but he should have waited and watched a bit to have a better understanding of the flow. It was our 24th anniversary and both my wife and I had a great time. Our Chef was very entertaining and our food was excellent. We were seated at a table with a family with four very well-behaved children. EVERYBODY with same birthday as my husband had the same plan it seems. Every 10 minutes we heard "happy birthday" being sung. No big deal, it was still great food, great service and you got the entertainment factor which my kids loved. My only complaint would be that the newer Benihanna's seem to be more spacious. We were cramped as it was with 11 and then the space between tables was small. It was so loud that you could only have a conversation with the person next to you. I was so surprised at how packed it was in the middle of the week. Having been to Benihana - Broomfield, I was disappointed how dark it was inside the Denver location. I felt in some ways that we were stuck in a black hole. I worked hard to save for the meal and to my absolute surprise the other 6 people we shared a table with paid for our meal because he felt we were good "kids" who were polite, looked good together and brought back memories of his time at prom. He ended up paying for our meal although I still tipped out the chef and server.
