  • "My family went to Benihana's for my husband's birthday dinner. We had an amazing time! Our waitress was on top of everything. We always had everything we needed and our drinks were never empty. Our chef was awesome and funny too! The food was cooked exactly how we wanted and was very delicious! My 8 month old son even had fun! It was definitely an enjoyable night! The restaurant was very clean and the atmosphere was very welcoming."

  • "Sadly I wasn't pleased. I had high expectations only because my one and only experience with Benihana years ago seemed much nicer and made for a very special birthday. Noticed quality in service and staff lowered dramatically this time around. My 1st visit was at the CA location the staff and restaurant were excellent...was hoping to duplicate that experience for my special day. Unfortunately the FL location was anything but that, I came away feeling disappointed with my birthday experience. Don't want to list everything that wasn't up to par (too much) but I'll share the cherry on top - no picture, server initially said camera was being used by another table...we waited and waited, never to get that memorable shot."

  • "I go here consistently at least once a month...food is always great. The only thing I don't like is that I made 10:00 reservation...my wife and I wasn't seated until 10:30. Our hibachi chef arrived at our table 15 minutes later, which is to long. Ok so we come here enough to know at this time of hour the cooking show will not be given....which is fine with us we just want good cooked food. By the time the food was completely cooked the servers began to rush us by keep asking us do we want a TO GO bag....in my mind I'm thinking like why are they rushing us if there the ones that took forever to prepare the food. Anyways like I said the food is good but service can be a lot better!"

  • "The food was pretty good, overall, but we did have a lot of issues with them catering to an onion allergy. I've had to explain the allergy at other Benihana restaurants and there were no issues at all. The food was made separately from the rest of the table's and everything ran very smoothly. Not so at this one...the waiter never asked if anyone had any food allergies and when the tableside chef was advised, it felt like we were asking him for this almost unimaginable thing. I can't say we'll be going back any time soon, but I imagine there are plenty who have eaten there without the issues we had. It's worth trying once to see if it goes well for you...but if you travel to Orlando much, save the dining experience for that location (imo)."

  • "Benihana"s had always been a wonderful place to get together and have a nice show by the chefs. Our server was good, she did her part. Nobody at the table could eat the soup, it was cold and they brought it to us 4 times. The last time I think they just dumped hot water in it to try and fool us into hot soup, it was just water down and still not hot. The chef was okay,we have had him before but he did not make the table fun, he was almost robotic with cooking and comments, didn't make our table feel special. Drinks were decent. I will probably try the restaurant on the intracoastal and hope not all of them are so disapponting"

  • "My reso was for 5:30; we needed to be home by 7pm. Our order wasn't taken until 6:15. The chef didn't start cooking until 6:15 & didn't finish until 6:40.(50 minutes from the time the order was taken until the food was actually served to us is an absurd and unacceptable amount of time).If we didn't already inform the hostess & server that we were in a bit of a time crunch, the experience would've been wonderful. I don't believe we were asking anyone to rush for us; I believe that an hour and 20 minutes is ample time to be sat, served and on our way. I would recommend this restaurant to someone, but I would let them know that eating there takes about 2 hours and to save the experience for a special occasion, rather than a Tuesday night out."

  • "We decided to make reservations using Open table about 1 1/2 before going. It was late. We arrived 5 minutes before our time. They had a quite a few people waiting for seats that were walk ins. We were sitting in 10 mins from our arrival time. Service was great, our waiter was on point, noise level was high as there was what looked like a kids birthday party in the back. The manager came over to one of the patrons at our table and I overheard him saying that he was allergic to shellfish, the manager started to explain his options to him to help him out. I assume he helped him. Overall great place for kids and could be a romantic night to celebrate at Benihana's. We would definitely go back."

I guess if the chain as a whole is having a hard time staying profitable, they have to tighten up what they need to... I'll prefer other loally owned Hibatchi from here on in.   • "We've had better chefs in the past and definitely better waiters. . The food was good as it usually is.. the chef was not very entertaining. We have seen some very good ones in the past. our waiter was clearing the table and rushing patrons buy bring out to go boxes before they were done.. were talking many 10 to 15 min after the food was served. Hey also brought our checks out before dessert or offering us coffee etc we felt very rushed. And kinda took the romance out of Valentine's day.. I can just hear management giving lectures about turning tables over. remember getting customers to come back over and over is more important that having one big night with a bunch of upset customers.I will be going to fort Lauderdale next time."

  • "This Benihana is outstading. The Chefs are very good and they do a great job focusing on the food while delivering a show. I am always impressed by them at this particular location as they adjust their performance to the audience. If you have kids the show is fantastic, and when you are having a business meal or just looking at having great food while having a conversation they adjust the show accordingly. The food is always great and the servers very attentive. The manager is always visible and demonstrates that he cares. Great Job!"

  • "Enjoyed the food, very fresh and filling. We always enjoy sitting with others and getting to know them and this is a great place for that. The service was slow, we waited over an hour for a chef after being seated and from being seated until the end of dinner being serviced it was about 2 hours. Other tables sat over 30 minutes after us had a chef before we did and most of their meal cooked."

  • "I took my Family to Benihana this past Saturday night to Celebrate my sons 14th Birthday. I had an 8:30 reservation we were seated around 8:45 and once at the table we waited another 45min for the chef to arrive. Our waiter seemed upset to be there and any request seemed too much for him. I requested kid chop sticks for my 6yr old daughter only for the waiter to bring them at the end of the meal . When our Chef finally arrived he barely spoke English and constantly kept speaking to my wife in Spanish. The show we received was literally just watching him cook.. he did no tricks nothing.. the jokes he attempted you couldn't understand and made no sense. our entire party- 7ppl were very let down."

The chef arrived to start cooking and they had forgotten all about us in the fact that we had not received either our soup or salad. We had to ask the chef about it and he had to tell someone. Then it all came so fast that you really did not get time to enjoy one before the other. The whole night just seemed rushed."

  • "Gone for 6 months, but 1st day back & in FL and I had to visit Benihana! They didn't disappoint. Food is the #1 reason I go to BH, but the chefs are all top notch & put on a show. I had Lobster & Filet. Wife had Filet & Shrimp. Outstanding! Sushi there is really good! I don't remember the name of the roll we ordered, but it was Salmon, Cream Cheese, Jalapeno, deep fried with a splash of hot sauce on each piece! Wowser! Wine selection is good too (Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc by the glass says it all), and I ordered a Goose and it was a generous pour. I have to say, that the service at the Coral Springs location is excellent. They are well staffed, and the managers are interactive, out on the floor, visiting the tables, first rate!"

  • "Although the service was good, the chicken was very rubbery and in some parts hard. I felt it, my husband felt it & my son didn't want anything to do with it. Our chef kept complaining that his manager is pressuring him for time. He didn't do any tricks like the other chefs at all the other tables. I was disappointed because our 3 kids kept asking about our chef not doing any tricks for us but the other tables did. It wasn't a fun experience. I don't think we will be coming back."
