Everyone tried something new to them & liked it. Staff very attentive, kept drinks filled & the orders correct. They seated us right away & gave us time to make our choices, as it was new for us we needed more time. The show was fabulous. By the end of the meal the kids hadn't realized that 2 hours had passed! 1/2 our group was teenaged boys & they went away filled & happy -that is an accomplishment! Our waiter was very personable & inquired about sticker shock when the tab came but because you had your menu & prices on this website where we made our reservations we knew what we were getting into and were fine with it. I Made reservations for a client of mine for a graduation celebration and Benihana's Bethesda pull out all the stops for them. I even had some very high profile guess that came to the restaurant and the feed back I got was that everyone felt comfortable and special, which is very hard to do with celebrity's. I wish they had more selections for dessert besides Ice Cream or rainbow sherbert, but this is minor. I really enjoyed the Japanese birthday songs to cap off a delightful dinner. I made a reservation for 14 although only 10 showed up. The staff made the arrangements very quickly to accomodate the change in my party. We waited at the bar while they made the changes and ordered sushi at the bar during happy hour. It did not come out before our table was ready so they told us they would bring it right over and they did! Menu is pricy but food. We spent close to a 100 for 2 without alcohol. Calamari was absolutely delicious and our chef was a good entertainer. The staff knows us very well and we are always presented with excellent service. The service isn't the only great thing about this Japanese steakhouse - they have the best food around, in my opinion. I always opt for the "splash n' meadow" which is a combination of steak and colossal shrimp. They usually serve your dinner with salad and a soup. This is not a place for a romantic date and foodies will definitely turn up their noses but it is entertaining and delicious. My fiance and I enjoyed the meal but found the experience and menu the same as every other hibachi style restaurant. We both had a expected alot more, specifically from the hibachi chef but his performance diwindled in comparison to other chefs at the same style restaurant. From the attentiveness of the staff to the delicious meal itself, everything was wonderful. I was also seranaded for my birthday! Small point, when we arrived at 9:30pm, there was no one at the hostess stand. We waited about 2 minutes or so and then had to ask someone for help.
