Our waitress also looked after us well, making special chopsticks for our youngest to use. His showmanship with food prep was great too. We went for lunch and the portions were still huge. Suggestion: go on an empty stomach. It was his first time and he wants to go back every year, if not more! The only notable thing was that we were never offered a second round of drinks. We finished our first beer half way through the table entertainment and were never offered another one. This is service 101. Coming from someone who worked in the service industry for 10+ years, it was disappointing. Not only were we thirsty, but this is an easy way for the server to increase the bill and her tip! And one more thing, we ordered a bottle of sake for the table to share with our first and only drink order and it came out 10 minutes later totally room temperature. It was supposed to be ice cold! The noise can give you a headache if you dont already have one. They have a great birthday special ($30 off an entree) if you are signed up for their Chef's table club. The worst part about it is you have to plan to go there because just dropping by even mid-week is no longer an option. This is primarily due to birthday vouchers can only be used during the week. Weekends are still all booked up though so a good business decision. If you don't plan ahead you either eat super early or super late.

The food was great, the "show" we experience from Chef Adrian was a ball, and we were constantly amazed at the ongoing experience and environment. My kids want to go back (and so do my husband and I)!!!!

And they will! Our chef guy was wonderful and put on a terrific show as well as perfectly cooking our seafood medley. We had a great time with great food. One thing I wasn't happy about was the door. The Thick wooden door in Enterence made huge noise everytime people come in and go out. Seriously, they need to fix it.5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMBenihana's IS AWESOMEI recently had to the chance to take my two adult nieces to Benihana Beaverton for Mother's Day and their birthdays. Neither woman had ever been there. The younger neice (33) was so excited and impressed with the show she actually video taped our chef making our lunch. It was sooooooo much fun! I LOVE taking "first timers" to Benihana. The food is fantastic, the show is wonderful, and it is such a wonderful value for the quality of the food and entertainment! When I was a little girl many years ago my Grandmother and Grandfather took me and my siblings there.....it has been a family favorite since they were located in downtown Portland. Best lunch outing EVER! The residents loved the cooking show, enjoyed the food, and laughed more than I have ever heard them laugh as a collective group. We absolutely loved it.
