  • "We celebrated my daughter birthday there. Our waiter was dull and slow.. We didn't receive our soup nor did we receive napkins the entire visit. Our chef Marco was OK at best...he was nice but not energetic ....he did make my daughter a heart with the rice...our chicken was over cooked...I just threw mines away since no one wanted it at our table including myself..our vegetables were burnt...no throwing shrimp in someone's mouth...our waiter said that my daughter would receive ice cream and that the other waiters would sing happy birthday to her...our waiter came back with half a scoop of ice cream and he was the only one singing the happy birthday song to my daughter...our waiter said the other waiters were busy"

  • "There was nothing particularly special about our visit here on New Year's Eve. The food was as expected. The fried rice costs extra here which was weird. The drinks were good though! It was not crowded at all for NYE which was great for service, but I'm glad we had a reservation just in case."

  • "This was my first visit to a Benihana. It will not be my last because of the good quality and quantity of food and the unique opportunity to dine with complete strangers from all walks of life. The showmanship of the table chef was skillful and entertaining, save for a couple of moments of embarrassing gimmickry; notably the shining of colored laser pens on the food that he was preparing! Great touch for bringing my kids - not so much for bringing my business partners."

  • "Initially the visit was going well until one of the servers opened the back door, which we were seated directly in front of. When asked if she could please close the door because there was a draft and it was getting quite cold she replied in passing, "NO! The smoke might get to the other patrons at another table", and she walked off. I am sorry but, is that not why you all have the giant overhead ventilations systems at EVERY table? The waitress’s attitude was horrible, the excuse for freezing us was horrible, and this in turn made the experience not a very pleasant one. I will be back but i will request to never be seated anywhere near that side of the restaurant again if that is the treatment that i will receive."

  • "I tried this Benihana about a year ago and was very disappointed. The food wasn't very good and the service was terrible. I finally decided to give it another try last week, and I'm done. Never again. The service was so bad - one of the girls in our group did not even get any food until everyone else at the table was done and the hibachi chef had already turned off and cleaned the grill (she had ordered steamed rice and edemame)!? At one point after the hibachi chef started cooking, everyone at the table had empty glasses and we had not seen our waitress in a looong time. The chef actually stopped cooking so he could go find us a waitress. By far the worst service I have ever had....anywhere."

  • "This was my husband and I first time visiting this particular location. The directions were not accurate. I had made reservations for 8:00pm. I called the restaurant twice and was rudely given directions as well as rushed off the phone. When my party of 10 finally did find the location we were told that we had to wait another hour because we were late. The waitress barely came to see if we needed anything and added tips equaling up to 50$ on the credit cards . She also mixed the tickets up and charged the wrong food orders on the wrong cards"

  • "The reservation was 15 mins behind,the server had no knowledge of what he was saying, he did no suggestive selling.When a minor is present they normally do not carry identification you guys should honor coupons when they are with parents! The chef was not friendly at all he failed to do any entertainment it was boring at the table at first, and he was slow, and made mistakes; the chicken was dry and over cooked. Overall i have been there before if i visit again i would recommend Javier. Excellent Chef!!!!"

  • "My party and I received less than satisfactory service from our waitress. She seemed to be irritated when asked for anything. She made my friend feel as though it were her fault that her order was continuously brought from the kitchen incorrectly. When I asked if I could simply sample the new wine kung fu riesling she said it had to be made so I couldn't but that is far from the truth. I only asked because I drink Château St Michelle and I wanted to sample the Kung fu to determine if it is what I wanted. Needless to say I purchased it but didn't like it. Waste of money for me. She was rude so this was not a good experience this time."

  • "After waiting 40 minutes for the chef, the waitress finally told my party that they were short staff!!! She could have relayed this information at the beginning, so that we could prepared for the wait or go somewhere else. We were so furious because we didn't eat and had to get back for a meeting. Needless to say, we will not be returning anytime soon!!!!! Be cautious unless you have all day to spend at Benihana!!!!"

  • "The experience wasn't bad, but wasn't great by any means. Carlos was our Chef. He was quiet and seemed to not want to engage. At first I thought maybe he lacked experience, but the way he eagerly cut the beef, chicken, and shrimp on the table to cook with such precision and very quickly as if he'd done it ten thousand times led me to believe other wise. I was disappointed but thought maybe that's Benihana's style. After our food was cooked and served I noticed a chef at another table. He was very engaged with his customers. He was flipping and twirling his spatula. Tossing shrimp tails into his chef's hat and appeared to be pretty entertaining. Minutes later I noticed the same thing at another table with a different chef. Not worth the $"

  • "We had a 7:30 reservation. Arrived a little after 7:00 and were told they were running behind. I told them I had a reservation and didn't need to be on waiting list. Was still told it might be 45 minutes later than reservation time. I had made a reservation so I DIDN'T have to wait so I wasn't happy. People were waiting everywhere so I took a stroll through the restaurant. 6 empty hibachi tables...SIX! It was like that all night. They had a full slate of reservations and were under-staffed, totally inexcusable. Was seated around 8:15 and took nearly 20 minutes to get a waitress to come by. Sushi was ok but hibachi food was bland. I do not recommend this place at all."

  • "Arrived at 5:52 pm for my 6:00 pm reservation and didn't get seated till 7:45. Two 6:00 pm reservations and a walk up that came in after me were seated before I was. Manager seemed to be seating larger groups rather than my party of two. There was also a party of 4 adults and 2 kids that came right after me that was in the same situation. When I went to the counter to asked about my party of two being seated I was ignored as if I wasn't there. The manager was giving excuses to the other party about not being seated and when I questioned him, he ignored me and started talking to another customer. Honestly, we took menus from the counter and seated ourselves. No apology or discount from the manager."

  • "For my girlfriend's 25th birthday, we made a reservation for the max allowed of 10 people for 8:30 pm. Not only were we not seated until 9:15 pm, but they only have 8 chairs per table. So our group was split up, much to our dismay. Thankfully, the drinks were strong and the food was great, but the waitress didn't come around often enough and our glasses spent more time empty than they did full. Our chef was Carlos, who was funny and good, yet he never tried to toss shrimp into our mouths which I thought was a staple of Benihana's! I can't speak for our friends who were separated from us and their Chef. Once we had eaten we probably spent a good 30 minutes waiting for our checks, it was ridiculous. Will not return."

  • "I am usually pleased with the service I receive however this time was not the best. We came in at 5 when they are just reopening for dinner, and we did have a reservation. We were seated first and assigned a waiter. After placing our order we waited for sushi to come with our waiter and it never did. When the chef came out he was not prepared but it was not his fault. Our original waiter was sent home and no one came to inform us of the change. Our drinks were empty, no refills were being giving because of the waitress change. I feel as if the manager should have conversed with us about what was going on. Other than that everything was fine"

  • "So my husband and I went here for the first time on 01/19/2014 because he had heard such great things about this restaurant and everything was going ok we placed our orders along with the other couples that were sitting with us (8 people total) and when the cook started cooking we never received our rice nor my scallops the waitress never came back to check on us so that I could let her know I ended up telling the cook and he didn't mind fixing it for us but my thing is where did our waitress go?"

  • "Great dining for our family. We all loved the food, the presentation and the service. Our kids received great attention and we're made to feel part of the experience. The only bummer was the parking. There's a pay lot across the street, but the restaurant does not have their own parking nor do they have an arrangement with a nearby lot to validate. Tough to pay a large restaurant bill and pay to park too. Other than that, good times for our family New Year's Eve dinner."

  • "Not fully satisfied with the food and service at Benihana.I've been to other Hibachi grills before and I had higher expectations because it's a popular chain. Our chef didn't really do a good job of communicating or asking for preferences, maybe language barrier but not because he was Japanese (because he wasn't).My husband prefers a vegan diet and our chef smothered everything in butter and cream from veggies to rice(food items that are not normally cooked with butter). He cooked the fish, the chicken the beef and THEN the tofu.It doesn't sound like a big deal, but for vegetarians it's a really big deal, especially when the chef is not wiping off the utensils in between.Might have a better experience at neighborhood hibachi 1/3 of price."

Otherwise, the food was fantastic. Succulent lobster and very tender and flavorful filet. The servers and chef were fantastic and were very pleasant, especially given that they had to work on Christmas."

  • "Not much showmanship. 25 dollar drink that I drank all if and did not get the least bit tipsy, so I am convinced there was little or no alcohol in it. The cook had to disappear for 5 min in the middle if the routine because he had the wrong food. I didn't feel that we got enough food for the money. Waitress service was so-so. Definitely not worth the $140 pre-tip bill for 3 people."
