Benihana - AnchorageGreat for Special OccasionsBenihana's is not a typical restaurant. They do hibachi cooking right in front of you. Most of the meal time you are watching and being entertained by the chef cooking your food, which also makes for a rather noisy dinner as there are usually a couple tables around the restaurant with chefs cooking. If you are looking to be entertained and don't mind sharing a table with another party this is the place to go. Although he entertained us with the usual Benihana routine, I was more focused on the taste of the food. He did an excellent job of cooking as everything was well seasoned and cooked to order. We had a very nice cook, and our waitress was outstanding! She seemed well trained and very attentive. The food was delicious, and we are looking forward to returning for our birthday celebrations, again this year. He did some "tricks" that I have never seen before. The best part was when he flipped a shrimp tail into my 11-year-old birthday girl's full glass of lemonade! That was hilarious! The food was expertly prepared with attention to detail. I've been going to Benihana's for years, and have never had such an enjoyable experience as this particular night.
