  • "We sat promptly for lunch at 2:30 from an OT reservation. The wait staff, Karen, was fast and responsive but a bit edgy. The dinning area was comfortable with a clean appearance. Chef Ryan was a very nice guy. Personable and professional in all respects. We've been to many of the Benihana's in the SoCal area and have had many Chef's serve and prepare for us but none have met the standard to which Ryan exhumes. His skills and craft of preparation were artistic and passion filled. He wasn't just another mach chef pretending he's skilled. Most Chef's at the Benihana's we've dinned at prepare decent to good food but Ryan's was exceptionally savory. In our opinion, he should be the standard that all Benihana chefs should be compared to."

Only bad side about my experience was that when we finished paying the bill, the manager seemed eager for my party to leave since he wanted to clean the table for new people. We were not even finished with desert and he was walking and looking at us to see when we would leave. Some of my family even felt the vibe that he was trying to kick us out. Other than that it was good."

  • "I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, but if the truth be told, having a meal at Benihana is one of my favorite things to do. Casual visitors are impressed by the chefs little show, most people go to celebrate something, my wife and I, we go because we are hungry! Benihana has a consistency about it, we are usually equally pleased with the food at any of the ones we go to (and we go to several). At the Benihana Beverly Hills its common to see stars, in Las Vegas its fabulous atmosphere, here in Anaheim - well, its a decent show and the food is consistent with all Benihana's which means we leave after having enjoyed every course. There is something about food that is freshly prepared in front of you! Benihana Anaheim doesn't disappoint!"

  • "Im a very easy going person and don't usually write reviews. I've been to several Benihana restuarants and this one would have to be the worst. Even with having a reservation through Open Table we had to wait almost 45 minutes for our table. The waitress staff need to go to customer service training. Their attitude gave the impression that we were bothering them and they were unattentive. I was being served my main course and had to asked for the steamed rice - there were 3 of us at the table (two different dinner parties) that had to ask and the waitress practically huffed. The chef was good, as was the food."

  • "My husband and I just decided to go have a nice dinner and we really enjoy the food at Benihana and as usual we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, the service was good and we were seated at a table with very friendly people and that always makes it even more enjoyable. The only complaint I have is that they sat us right outside the kitchen with our backs to the door so it was a little uncomfortable with the cooks coming in and out with their carts. But all in all it was a good night."

  • "This is a fun place for adult brays and family groups to dine. Food is really good. It's a tad pricey but they give you $30 off in your bday month mon thru Thurs dinner if you fill out a form online. $30 is a nice discount. We were a party of 7 and we used 3 bday coupons and got $90 off of our bill. That's awesome.especially since I'd go there even without a coupon. Make a reservation bcuz it can get crowded."

  • "Took my daughter for her 7th Bday! a great food show and entertained my group of 12 quite to the Tee.. We had reservations which at Benehana on a weekend is a must. If not the lines will be out the door, standing room only for waiting. One thing I did not like. I was the host but always got my serving last, and the cook ran out of special made fried rice and got one out the kitchen which taste like it was thrown together at the last min. Also, inform the guest, the Fried rice is $3.50 xtra ppp, it doesn't come with the meal. There was a descrepancy with some of my guest they had no idea of the extra item charged for rice that clearly should come with the meal. Otherwise server was good, the non-asian chefs should learn more tricks!"

They will keep telling you to wait 5 more minutes, but you will actually end up waiting for 30mins + How they manage their time schedule is horrible. Why have 5 employees front of the door for nothing? When you can make them do other things to speed up the services. Will not recommend this place, unless you really want to try this food. Horrible service & manager there seems to careless about how customers think and all the time they've waited. Need a MANAGER REPLACEMENT."

I made reservations and i had to wait 30 minutes. there was no room on the table, my boyfriends arm kept touching the guy sitting next to him. There was no where to sit when waiting for our tables (even in the lounge). Sushi roll was not cut all the way so when i tore it off with my chopstick my roll would end up breaking"

  • "Besides the server and the cook, manager and receptionist weren't very personable. Seating was 25 minutes behind. The cook almost served a dirty dish and e kept running out of supply (like the dipping sauce). There was a party in our table that's celebrating the birthday and a 4 of their staff came out to sing but one girl had a "I hate my job" look on her face. The best part of dining in this particular location is the food and the photo they take and give out after--and of course the company. I will stick to the Newport Beach location."
