We had some out of town guests in for the weekend, so we chose to dine here. The food was outstanding, as usual, and so was the service--very friendly wait staff. The seafood was fresh and delicious and I can't say enough about the presentation and flavor. Service was attentive, and the server enthusiastically fulfilled my request for a "chef's choice" menu. Particularly the seafood- it tops seafood even from areas close to the water like Florida. The menu is always exciting- the daily specials always contain unique items that are fun and delicious, as well as fantastic "stand-by's". We go to Bender's not only on special occasions, but when we just need a break from "everyday normal" meals- Bender's is a very special place. Our party of five enjoyed a wonderful variety of entrees for lunch and everything was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly; not stuffy at all. The surroundings, with the marble walls and quarter-sawn oak woodwork, are a real throwback in time but the menu is modern and large.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMA must experience type restaurantBeing from Chicago, I am in the Canton area a couple times a month on Business. And I recently have learned that Bender's Tavern is great for entertaining with business customers. The seafood is some of the best served in the country. I have driven by this restaurant many times which I thought to be just a neighborhood tavern.
