Benares - TribecaA Great Find!We were looking for a place to have a good dinner and good conversation with friends, and we absolutely did! Everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff was very helpful in making suggestions. The restaurant was busy but not crowded, so it was not noisy and we never felt rushed. All the staff there was friendly, and the atmosphere was very comfortable. Garlic naan was great; as was my lamb dish. My spouse ordered a vegetarian dish that was excellent, as was a tomato/yogurt preparation which provided a cooling counterpoint to the spice of the lamb and vegetables. With the rice accompaniment, there was too much food for us to finish. We were completely satisfied. Our entire bill was amazingly modest for the food quality and overall dining experience. It has been 4 days now since we ate there and we are still revelling in their food. I can't wait to head back there. You can not go wrong with any of their dishs. The waiter's recommendations were spot on. We had the scallop and crab appetizers, the saag paneer, lamb (Rogan Josh), chicken tikka masala, the jumbo prawns, and finished with the Pistachio Kulfi.
