"For the money, this restaurant was VERY disappointing. The food was so so but what really killed it was the restaurant itself...old, tired looking, and carpet was worn out. For the amount of money they charge, it was a real letdown. We were celebrating a special occasion and I wish we'd gone elsewhere. I won't be going back."

"The New York Strip was very tasty. The way it was presented was unique. Filet Mignon was good. The portions of the steaks are big. The sides are big enough to share. The New York Strip was the best tasting steak we've had."

"Bacon was half burnt and when I pointed this out to the server, he asked, "So you want it less cooked?" He returned the bacon and gave new slices but they were a little dry (and only the tips were burnt)."

"We arrived early on a Sunday so the restuarant was not crowded. The waiter was helpful with ordering, answering several questions regarding the menu items.
The food arrived piping hot was was very good, particularly the rib eye steak and the filet. The portions were generous. I would recommend Ben and Jack's to anyone looking for a good steakhouse in NYC."

"Ben and Jack's steakhouse was a fair to good experience. The food is ok, typical steakhouse fare. We had a 'stiff' waiter, essentially void of personality.

I would recommend a different place for steak (like Keen's or Uncle Jack's). This is a good place to stop for dinner if you're on the east side; maybe a company function or something like that."
