Knowing that there was another location on 5th Ave, I was hesitant to go since I had tried other "offshoots" of Peter Luger that had multiple locations, and generally, there was only that stood out. Needless to say, this B&J did not disappoint me. Some familiar waitstaff faces from Peter Luger, no need to look at the menu, just say "porterhouse for two, rare" with the potato and spinach sides, and everyone is happy. The noise level is somewhat high, but the tables are spaced well enough not to really impede your own table's conversation. I will continue to visit this branch until 44th St. reopens. Kenny was our waiter and did a great job ! Very attentive. Harry does a great job choosing the best quality steaks ! The porterhouse for two just melts in your mouth! The Creamed Spinach and German Potatoes were great accents, and the desserts were awesome, although neither my wife nor I were able to finish them... The rib eyes we ordered were cooked to perfection with just the right amount of marbling. We were seated on the left side of the restaurant where the noise level from the main room was somewhat dampened by a divider. However, if you have a loud table in this area it will be all that you will hear during your entire meal - slight inconvenience when all you care about is having a nice big juicy steak with crispy french fries and warm apple streusel topped with their homemade whip to end your meal.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFANTASTIC!
