Belvedere Inn is always our go to place for the best atmosphere and the best cuisine. The staff is always prompt and pleasant. The food is to die for! Kudos for the creativity, presentation and offerings. You must try the Bruschetta - it is the best you will find without going to Europe. And for dessert you cannot go wrong with their Creme Brulee or triple chocolate Pot De Creme. If lighter fare is your wish, the Grilled Caesar is wonderful. Always, always, always...the best fine dining experience you will find anywhere in Lancaster County, and beyond!

The wait staff was very attentive from the moment we were taken to our table. Our waiter came and took our drink order while other staff brought water and rolls. I had the Strip Steak which was cooked perfectly to medium finish. Hitting medium is something that seems to elude many chefs and cooks at other restaurants. The beans were crisp and seasoned by someone who is well adept at vegetable preparation. The special red beet and potato dish was wonderful. Highly recommend the Belvedere Inn.

This was our second visit to Belvedere Inn. We were not disappointed. Belevedere is our "go to" place for an excellent dinner when we visit Lancaster, PA. The appetizers are so interesting they are hard to pass up, so we decided to "feast" on several appetizers and share a main course. The steamed mussels were divine - sweet and garlicky (get lots of bread to sop up the sauce), lobster bisque was flavorful and with a generous portion of lobster chunks, and the lamb chop appetizer a real standout. The pan seared barimundi fish was good, but overshadowed by the appetizers. Our server, Hope, was pleasant and attentive . The restaurant itself is Victorian in design and quite lovely. We highly recommend it.

Menu is imaginative, even adventurous. Service was excellent. Our waiter was definitely eager to please and nothing was too much trouble for him. However, we found the noise level more than a bit intrusive as there were several groups of eight or so diners there at the same time in the main floor dining areas and the interior is not large. We at times had trouble conversing, even though we were sitting next to one another rather than across a table. I felt that several different parts of our entrees (both seafood) were over-cooked, so you might want to select non-seafood entrees.

I took my family here for a nice dinner. Ambiance was nice. The waiters couldn't do enough for you. Very efficient. My only complaint is the parking. It was very hard to find parking. They had a parking garage near by which we parked and they reimburse you two dollars for parking but still had to pay for parking. A restaurant that elegant should have valet parking or reimburse you for the full amount of parking especially when your paying good money to eat. Other then that it was great. Food was delicious.

Went here for my wife's birthday. It was her first time there my second. It was a great night from start to finish. We were early and before we could grab a drink at the bar they were able to seat us. I was very impressed with the staffs willingness to make the night perfect. Food was prepared as ordered and the courses were served with just the right spacing. Service was the best we've had in a long time. We will be back!

We were seated upstairs in the Crazy Shirley's bar area. The music (live, 4-piece group) was very pleasant, however the background din of diners and bar patrons speaking loudly to make themselves heard over the music was not. I understand some enjoy the "vibrant" ambiance, however for future visits I will request seating in the downstairs dining room. The food and service, as in past eperience, were both very good.

We took a vacation stop at Lancaster and made reservations here based on internet reviews. It was a decent restaurant. The food wasn't unique or memorable, but it was tasty and we enjoyed our dishes anyhow. The ambiance is really calm however the whole place is very dimly lit, a little more light couldn't have hurt. When we finished our food, however, our waiter passed us at least 5 times but didn't offer a bag or check for 20 minutes. Overall it was a good place and I'd recommend it anyway because the surrounding neighborhood isn't too exciting or as upscale as this restaurant.

The patio on the second floor is amazing. It is almost like a jungle with so many beautiful hanging plants and vines. On a summer night, it is just a wonderful place to eat. They have minimal lighting and just enough tables that it isn't too crowded. We really enjoyed it!

  • To much SALT
    Esther
    Dined on 6/23/2014
The main entre had too much finishing salt. It was very hard for my taste buds to go beyond the salt to the other complexities of flavors that the “chef” intended to have there. It is a good thing my blood pressure generally is on the low side, or I’d be in trouble. I tend to like savory foods anyway, but this was too much salt. Yes, could have sent it back, but we were with another couple and did not want to have a time element issue. My husband also complained regarding the salt content. Shame. As a foodie I would not recommend this restaurant, until the “chef” corrects his salt happiness.

Our reservation was for 5 guests outside on the deck but unfortunately it started to rain. No problem they were prepared for us inside as well. Our server Josh was very friendly (he recognized one of our party from 2 years ago!). The atmosphere was much more casual and relaxed than I thought it would be. The food was good however a bit pricy which will somewhat limit my frequency of visits when dining out. Over all our night was very pleasant.

The food was good but make sure you bring a winter coat durring summer if you are dinning on the main level. The HVAC is out of control and we ended up switching tables 3 times to try and find one that didn't have a significant breeze. The candles in the fireplace just didn't provide any warmth. The swordfish with white Asparagus was excellent paired with a beat salad.

We were very pleased with the dining experience at Belvedere. I took my wife there to celebrate her birthday.. Her pan-seared Tuna and my prok dish with chocolate balsamic sauce were excellent. We also very much enjoyed the enormous portion of bruschetta, and in fact boxed some of it to enjoy at home. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about all the menu options; was very informative and never intrusive. The atmosphere was beautifully romantic with intimate lighting, dark wood, tasteful black and white accents. We plan on returning and would recommend the Belvedere to anyone for a special dining occasion!
