As a recent transplant from Baltimore this is my go to when I have out of town friends visit. The Belvedere never dissapoints and last night they were on thier game. I arrived after my guests and the first comment my friend made was WOW this place is Beautiful (they were decorated for Christmas) this restaurant delivers spot on from start to finish, oh the filet mignon , no knife needed it was the best steak I'd had in years. Service was knowledgeable and they did cater to my one guests special needs. If your visiting Lancaster don't miss out on this gem.

Very romantic. Dimmed lights, candle fireplace and one on each table. Great service and excellent food! We would love to go. Only reason I chose moderate noise level is because, there was one time when everyone at the bar (in the room beside us) got really load, but it was only for a couple minutes. Then the rest of our evening was quiet again.

We have visited the Belvedere in our quest to identify good restaurants in the Lancaster area in anticipation of our move there. This was the first time that we took a guest with us and the Belvedere did not disappoint. The three entrees that we had were excellent. The service was great. We will return.

A gem on the corner of Queen Street and East Lemon, Belvedere's isn't for those looking to grab a quick, cheap bite. (There are plenty of cafes/delis in the area for that sort of thing.) But if you're looking for fabulous service (ask for "Josh") and delicious fine dining, this is the place to go. The well-dressed gentleman diner will wear a jacket, but the staff seems to recognize that many diners are tourists so neat but casual attire is acceptable. This was far and away the best food we had while in the area. Don't miss it!

My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. As soon as I walked in the person at the front greeted us and wished us a happy anniversary. When we got to the table there was a card on our plate wishing us a Happy Anniversary and within 2 min the waitress gave us 2 glasses of champagne to toast. The rest of the evening was just great. The service was spectacular and the food was great!

We had a reservation because of Homecoming weekend but had to wait anyway until our table emptied; at least they were not rushing people out. The food was ample. One person had chicken which she liked very much and some of us had mussels. Although the mussels were quite tender, there was too little of the accompanying broth and no special care had been taken to make it flavorful, as in Italy. The squash bisque was delicious with a hint of pumpkin and cinnamon. The wine list was okay but nothing special, and I think there was only one wine by the glass in each variety (pinot noir, merlot, syrah, etc.). Still had a very nice experience here, and I would like to go again to try some of the wonderful looking entrees.

Josh was a wonderful server, very engaging; the food was great - overall it was a great evening - thank you! What kept it from being a five star experience appears to be a glitch in communication. When we made our reservation, we specifically asked for a quiet corner table and made mention that we had theatre tickets. Our table was indeed in a corner, but with the four ladies next to us, it was anything but quiet - and there was plenty of room - there were only three occupied tables in the restaurant! More importantly - our server knew nothing of our theatre engagement - when we made mention - half an hour into our dinner - he was surprised and clearly had to hustle to get us out in time. It didn't need to be that way!

After reading reviews and seeing this resturant get a lot of stars, we really expected the best. We ordered the corn and lobster chowder. It was more like a cream of tomato with some potato and corn, and no lobster that we could see or taste. Then came the grilled Caesar salad. It was very good - a quarter of a stalk grilled on the cut side with dressing, cheese and croutons. Then the three-cheese macaroni. What a disappointment! It was soupy - it was like they made a white sauce and forgot to put any cheese in it. It had a buttered crumb topping that gave it the only taste it had. We couldn't imagine how they came up with not one, but three cheeses with no flavor. The balcony outside was lovely to eat on, but I don't think we'll go back.

Belvedere Inn is always our go to place for the best atmosphere and the best cuisine. The staff is always prompt and pleasant. The food is to die for! Kudos for the creativity, presentation and offerings. You must try the Bruschetta - it is the best you will find without going to Europe. And for dessert you cannot go wrong with their Creme Brulee or triple chocolate Pot De Creme. If lighter fare is your wish, the Grilled Caesar is wonderful. Always, always, always...the best fine dining experience you will find anywhere in Lancaster County, and beyond!

The wait staff was very attentive from the moment we were taken to our table. Our waiter came and took our drink order while other staff brought water and rolls. I had the Strip Steak which was cooked perfectly to medium finish. Hitting medium is something that seems to elude many chefs and cooks at other restaurants. The beans were crisp and seasoned by someone who is well adept at vegetable preparation. The special red beet and potato dish was wonderful. Highly recommend the Belvedere Inn.

This was our second visit to Belvedere Inn. We were not disappointed. Belevedere is our "go to" place for an excellent dinner when we visit Lancaster, PA. The appetizers are so interesting they are hard to pass up, so we decided to "feast" on several appetizers and share a main course. The steamed mussels were divine - sweet and garlicky (get lots of bread to sop up the sauce), lobster bisque was flavorful and with a generous portion of lobster chunks, and the lamb chop appetizer a real standout. The pan seared barimundi fish was good, but overshadowed by the appetizers. Our server, Hope, was pleasant and attentive . The restaurant itself is Victorian in design and quite lovely. We highly recommend it.

Menu is imaginative, even adventurous. Service was excellent. Our waiter was definitely eager to please and nothing was too much trouble for him. However, we found the noise level more than a bit intrusive as there were several groups of eight or so diners there at the same time in the main floor dining areas and the interior is not large. We at times had trouble conversing, even though we were sitting next to one another rather than across a table. I felt that several different parts of our entrees (both seafood) were over-cooked, so you might want to select non-seafood entrees.

I took my family here for a nice dinner. Ambiance was nice. The waiters couldn't do enough for you. Very efficient. My only complaint is the parking. It was very hard to find parking. They had a parking garage near by which we parked and they reimburse you two dollars for parking but still had to pay for parking. A restaurant that elegant should have valet parking or reimburse you for the full amount of parking especially when your paying good money to eat. Other then that it was great. Food was delicious.

We were seated upstairs in the Crazy Shirley's bar area. The music (live, 4-piece group) was very pleasant, however the background din of diners and bar patrons speaking loudly to make themselves heard over the music was not. I understand some enjoy the "vibrant" ambiance, however for future visits I will request seating in the downstairs dining room. The food and service, as in past eperience, were both very good.

We took a vacation stop at Lancaster and made reservations here based on internet reviews. It was a decent restaurant. The food wasn't unique or memorable, but it was tasty and we enjoyed our dishes anyhow. The ambiance is really calm however the whole place is very dimly lit, a little more light couldn't have hurt. When we finished our food, however, our waiter passed us at least 5 times but didn't offer a bag or check for 20 minutes. Overall it was a good place and I'd recommend it anyway because the surrounding neighborhood isn't too exciting or as upscale as this restaurant.
