I am writing to share that I had the worst experience with Open Table.com. I had a Business reservation with Belly and Trumpet to entertain my customer. We drove up to the restaurant and it was boarded up as they had not paid their rent. I received no communication from: - the restaurant - OpenTable.com and now I am receiving a survey to ask how my experience was?*! Seems like there is a disconnect. Looking forward to hearing from you

Used to be my favorite resto in Dallas, but it closed. Abruptly. Without canceling my res, so I couldn't make another for the same time. Would've been nice if I had been informed.

Service and dinner was fantastic. Wasn't expecting restaurant week, but couldn't have been happier with the entire evening from hostess to service to manager to chef, an overall complete, and enjoyable experience. Can't wait for our next visit.

We (2 couples) came for restaurant week. $45 for 4 courses. Each one was an amazing blend of flavors and textures. Portions are great not small plates. We had watermelon salad, tuna tartare, gnocci (best we ever had), eggplant, hanger steak, branzino, banana, and mousse. great service. We all loved it, we will be back!

When restaurant week drags on and on and the normal dinner menu is abandoned it should be in big block letters on open table. This experience just ok. Just. Might try it again when everybody comes back from vacation.

I went during restaurant week knowing that was the only way I would ever try this place. I had already heard about the small portions for big prices similar to FT33 and Oak. The food was very good and creative. Loved the decor. Worth the $45. My friend and I were hungry about an hour later.. so BAT is not filling. I was a little disappointed how the usual menu was not available.. only the restaurant week menu. I had not seen that in other places.

We were disappointed when we showed up for dinner to find out that they were only offering the restaurant week menu. However, it was incredibly good. My wife and I had almost completely different menu offerings and we both were very happy with the results. I think the chef has done a wonderful job of combining different items into a menu that "works". Will return again.

Really enjoyed our dinner here during restaurant week 2014. Great vegetarian selections including the watermelon salad (fantastic), gnocchi (very good), and eggplant (very, very good). The food was interesting, unique and well thought out. Some of the ingredient combinations sounded strange on the menu, but worked very well together in the dish. Tried both of the deserts, but the baby banana dessert won hands down. Absolutely delicious! Fun, lively atmosphere and great service. Would definitely return.

Charlie, our waiter, was fantastic! As was the watermelon salad, the gnocchi, and the banana-themed dessert. The entrees, while good, were unfortunately not up to the same level as the sides and the second wine-paring (a substitute because the listed wine was no longer available) was really a very poor choice. Despite the excellent side courses and dessert, 3.5-stars is more appropriate given the average entrée and wine-pairing mishap. When forking out over $200 for a party of four, I expect near-flawless service and food. Charlie saved you and earned you the extra half star (from good to very good). Too bad he's only a part-timer.

Food was good, not great! My wife thought food was fair. Although my wife said the baby banana desert was the best desert she had ever had. That brings the review up a notch or two! The unusual thing about this restaurant was that they did not offer any other menu options except the restaurant week menu. This is the first time for us to come across this limitation since participating in restaurant week since its inception years ago.

Our waitress, Rebecca was very helpful was able to tell us about every dish and it was nice that all the dishes (this was Restaurant Week after all) were actually from their regular menu. Odd that we were not shown a "real" menu, and there was NO up-selling. No would you like a second glass of wine, no would you like coffee with dessert (actually, why yes I would). The nicest thing was that they did not rush us through the meal, often with Restaurant Week they are so desperate to turn the table they take your plate before you are finished, but we were able to enjoy and savior each course!

I took my daughter there for restaurant week. We picked B&T because of the menu we saw online. The dining experience was better than we could have imagined! We were promptly greeted, seated and had water to drink as we sat. My specialty drink came out quickly and the food arrived after just a few more moments. The food and my drink was imaginative, beautifully presented and more importantly, GREAT!!!! My family and I will definitely return!

We attended this restaurant during Restaurant week (which always concerns me a little bc we've had experiences before where the meals are hurried or sort of mass produced and not great). They were in no rush, the service was excellent, and there were certain dishes- like the gnocci- that were in the top 10 of any dish I've had. For that alone I would have given it a high rating. The other food was certainly good, but sometimes just a bit off in the prep- hanger steak on collard greens that were overcooked to that soggy situation for example, so I couldn't give it 5 stars. I would definitely go back for a date night, however, and would recommend to anyone to try.

As two jaded, expert diners (5x a week, or more) we consistently are disappointed in many of the hot spots we try. Not so here. For the last year we've been back many times, and always agree how much better our experience is here than other, much more expensive, highly touted places. Service is always attentive, but not obtrusive. The dishes are well executed. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is not for anyone. I did enjoy myself but for people just trying to branch out it was to different of food for them. The two hundred dollars that was paid for four people was not worth the food that we received or the fact that they did not enjoy it at all. I had heard great things for other customers and that is why we tried it. It is okay that some restaurants are not for everyone. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere.

Displacement. Food - spectacular. Continues to be one of the top 5 restaurants in town for the food. Plus, Thursday night was half-price wine, meaning we got a great deal on a very nice wine. But...and there's always a but with B&T. First, service was slow at start - over 20 minutes to get a waiter and drink order. After the poor service start, however, it picked up and was excellent the rest of the way. Then there was the "LOUD CROWD" that joined our evening about half way through. What is it with people that thinking shouting and laughing at high decibles is appropriate? After several stares from us and other diners they dialed it down. B&T is great food but maybe wrong neighborhood.

Go there on Monday night if your in the F&B business. All the food is 50% off! We ate foie gras, gnocchi, oysters, shrimp beignets, hanger steak, Lobster/Pork Belly and a burger. All of the food was out standing, very creative flavors and presentation, great service, decent wine list. We were not crazy about the art and they were out of the Branzino, but other than that this place was fabulous. I will go every Monday until they run me off.

Ordered 2 different wines, took the server for ever to discover they were out if both & food went down hill from there. My guess is they got too busy & the kitchen & staff do a poor job @ keeping up.

The weather was unseasonably cool when we went, so most people were sitting outside on the patio. We elected to sit inside, and were one of only a few tables occupied on the interior. The small plates are small, but tasty. If sharing, I recommend that you order a couple of small plates for your apps. Cocktails were well balanced and not overly sweet. My husband liked his meal a little more than I did, but we both enjoyed and would go back.

Granted it was a Monday and the weather was bad, but when I arrived for my 7:00 reservation and found the restaurant empty I started to worry. There is a difference between innovative, creative and forward thinking; and just plain weird. The menu veers toward the weird. A starter of smoked golden beets with heirloom tomatoes could have been delightful. The problem was the smoke flavor was so strong and pervasive it lingered on the palate long after the dish was consumed. A turkey dish with a combination of 'confit' of dark meat and sous-vide prepared white meat medallions had a host of issues. It was served with a mediocre mole and some type of over-salted suace for the confit. The white meat came out a disquieting pink.

Charlie was a great server. Intelligent on the menu/wine always there when you needed him. Starters were very good - had the foie gras and watermelon w/ cashews. Entrees were mixed. Had the turkey mole and the lobster with pork belly. Turkey mole confit was delicious, sliced turkey tastes like something from the grocery store. It was chewy and cheap tasting. There was too much lobster juice in the curry of the lobster/ pork belly dish. Had high hopes after the starters, but waned after the entres. I got the sense they were trying to be too complicated. I will try it again, but will stay with starters.
