  • "Food was delicious, lots of specials to choose from, and a waiter who was very friendly and personable."

  • "We had been to Bellini about a year ago, so we decided to try it again for a post-Philly Pops matinee dinner. I was a little disappointed this time with my salad which was not completely fresh. The rest of the meal was delicious. The calamari appetizer was tender and perfectly season. My bronzino main course was fabulous, as was the pasta. The gelato trio was yummy and chocolate mouse cake was rich and delicious! Service was a little slow, but very friendly. Water was replenished frequently. Over all, a nice experience."

  • "We were 7 people. Handled very well. Its also BYOB, which is great. Bu they had good wines at a fair price too. Chef comes out to talk. Overall quite nice."

  • "Although this restaurant had great reviews we had to try it. It was even better than the reviews. We split the special lobster ravioli and the. Proceeded to the veal with artichoke and asparagus. Service was pleasant and efficient. Dessert of tiramisu was great. The chef/ owner visited each table. We would be visiting this great place again. The tables are a little tight but all else is perfect. Meet the owners son at the front door-he adds the family touch to a family restaurant!"

  • "Had none of the problems noted by other reviewers, but it was a 7 P reservation on a Thur night and only 1/2 full when finished. However, no wait (obviously), very friendly and attendant waitstaff, and pleasant food. Dishes had by two friends were Gorgonzola gnocchi, veal and their seafood and pasta "special" that night. The special wasn't "loaded" with seafood but had 2 shrimp and 2 mussels and scallops all just slightly overcooked in pasta with garlic wine sauce. Cost was on the high end, Actually with tip about $50 each."

  • "It is a great location, atmosphere is inviting, can't beat the BYOB. Servers were very welcoming, had a family-run feel. Food was hit or miss. Went with a group of 7, 5 really loved the food and 2 were disappointed. Handmade pasta was excellent, portion sizes were a bit small (especially for Italian)."

  • "The tables were set too close to each other to be comfortable."

  • "My sister and I had a girls night, and wanted to catch dinner before heading out for the evening. Bellini was not far from our hotel and I had been there once before during restaurant week, so we open-tabled it and had a 7:30 spot. When we arrived, the place was packed and the line spilled out the door. It took a bit for us to be seated, but it was worth it. Everything we had was delicious. The pollo Bellini was a nice way to have something other than chicken parm or chicken piccata at an Italian restaurant. The pasta was spot on too. Service was great, as I had experienced before. It was a great dinner for under $100. Will certainly be back!"

  • "An overpriced BYOB in a city full of less expensive BYOBs that offer more creative and better prepared dishes. The meals were good but not stellar."

  • "My wife and I have visited this gem of a restaurant on multiple occasions, sometimes just the two of us, and on other occasions parties as large as 8. Everyone that we have brought to the restaurant (including some serious foddies) have loved it. The food is outstandinging, and the service is attentive, warm and friendly. This restaurant clearly enjoys doing what they do, and it shows in all aspects of the dining experience."

  • "Our party of 9 was celebrating the graduation of our son and his girlfriend and easily made reservations online. It was a Monday night and very quiet in the restaurant. An employee called to confirm our reservation and was able to be flexible with our timing since we didn't know exactly how long the ceremony would take. Food was delicious and waiter was accommodating to a request to change a side dish. The wait staff was very attentive (although it was quiet). However, we had been to this restaurant about 4 years ago during restaurant week and I found it to be the most attentive wait staff I had ever encountered. The portions were average in size, but I would rather have quality over quantity."

  • "Another terrific visit. There is always something on the menu to please. Service is friendly... not stuffy or formal."

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Bellini Grill. There is always a surprise in store with a special or with special service, and our meal certainly lived up to our expectations and beyond!"

  • "Perfect for before Kimmel Center show. No problem getting in and out efficiently but yet not rushed. Salad was great and generous portion. One pasta dish was wonderful and the ravioli were good. Ricotta was very fresh. A bit too much sauce. Prices are fair. Excellent variety on menu. Service was great."

  • "Reasonable prices, very attentive service, large portions and good Italian dishes stepped up with some modern additions. BYO makes having a nice wine more affordable than at places with Philly's 300% markups."

  • "I had wanted to try this restaurant for a long time and just never got around to it. I thought that the food was very good, reasonably priced and would definitely recommend the restaurant to family and friends. I am very much looking forward to returning for dinner."

  • "Food here was good, as was the server. Only issue was an ill placed table at which I took a beating from servers and patrons trying to access other tables. At times, I felt like I needed a seat belt to stay in my chair. Not once did anyone apologize for slamming into me and my chair which leads me to think its just part of the norm? At the end of the meal I asked to speak with the manager to describe the issue. I did so without an agenda as I already paid my bill, but I have to say i was disappointed when the response was "ask for a different table next time you come in". I didn't sense any real compassion at all for the impact it had on our experience. Too many good options in Philly than to go to a place that doesn't seem to care."

  • "My wife and I were in the city for a show, and were looking for an Italian restaurant that could accomodate us from a time and location perspective. We both have dietary restrictions- one being no tomatoes for me wife, a big issue at most Italian places- but they handled it with no issue. They had a large and diverse menu that included classic meals as well as more unique options. Frankly put- it was the best Italian meal I have had in 10 years, the perfect mix of seasonings, aged cheeses- even their bread was fantastic. Top it off with extremely knowledgeable servers and a friendly staff, and I would recommend this to anyone (though kids might be challenging, as it is a typical Philly restaurant with space challenges)."

  • "I had made a reservation through Open Table and had made a remark in the notes section that it was my friend's birthday. I asked if they could write Happy Birthday on her plate when we got dessert. I figured that this request might not become a reality once I saw how busy the restaurant was (every seat was filled!) However they certainly delivered, even adding a candle and some singing to the request! I was very impressed. The staff also answered all of our questions about the menu, refilled water glasses, came over to check on us, etc. They were very attentive despite it being so busy. We were the last to leave for the night but they did not rush us out. Thanks for a great dinner and service, Bellini Grill!"

  • "We ate at the Bellini Grill for an early dinner before a show at the Academy. The room is terrific - full of life but comfortable. Beautiful decor. The waitstaff is tremendous, attentive, unobtrusive, moving things along without seeming to hurry - perfect for pre-theater.. Small lively but elegant room with authentic high-quality Italian menu. We had the Bellini salad, grilled calamari, pasta dishes and dessert. All was fine, the salad, calamari, and dessert custard particularly to-die-for. BYOB, which is great for Italian. Will definitely return. This was real find, so close to the theater."

  • "We picked Bellini's based on prior reviews and it's proximity to the Academy of Music and we were not disappointed! The food and service were great and the atmosphere was perfect for a nice quiet dinner before going to the theater."

  • "With in house fresh made pastas and Segafredo coffee, wow yummy! The San Benedetto water we had were imported from Italy. We are international travelers and can say authentic Italian cuisine is not easy to find locally. It's rare to find Segafredo Coffee as well, with only about 4 establishments serving it in Philly. Close by indoor and discounted parking ($8.00 to $12.00) was great in Center City."

  • "Bellini Grill was a good place to eat. However, they never gave me back white wine I had asked them to keep in a cool place"

  • "For a little more than the price of an entrée at the local Olive Garden, you too can eat good Italian food. I planned my birthday dinner here because I ate there during Philly's restaurant week and I enjoyed it. First off, its a BYO. People need to remember that. Secondly, the service was excellent. My party changed from 20 people to 10 and tables were adjusted by the servers to adapt to that. That wasn't easy because the restaurant isn't the biggest place. I had the pasta, and the raviolis were divine. But I really came for the escargot. Yes, the escargot there may be the best escargot I have ever tasted. You need to eat it with crusty bread because the garlic buttery wine sauce is the best part of it."

  • "We passed Bellini Grill on our way to another restaurant on a get away weekend in Philly in January and said oooh that looks nice. So when we were deciding where to go for our family Valentines Day dinner, we decided to try it. Well we loved it!!! I had the Gnocchi Sorrentino fra diavolo and it was delicious!! My husband had the Shrimp Scampi which was not made like typical scampis. It was almost creamy and light!!! My son had angel hair with pesto that was not on the menu but they were happy to make it for him. The Bruschetta Sicilian was so sweet and delicious. My daughter had the Bolognese which she loved!! Having been to Italy twice, we are very critical of Italian food but we will DEFINITELY be returning to Bellini Grill!! .. .."

  • "This was the 4th or 5th time at Bellini. The day after valentine's day was busy. The waiter attentive and knowlegable but not as engaging as on past experiences. Just a but slower service. The food wasn't over the top like it had been on previous visits. The lobster bisque was good not great, the salmon excellent but minuscule. The restaurant was very good but not up to standard set on my previous occassions there. It will be interesting to see if this was one time occurance or the beginning of a trend."

  • "My bf made us reservations for Vday. It was PACKED! The hostess (young tan girl with dark hair) did a great job at getting everyone in as fast as possible & had a smile on her face the whole time :) I rather walk in a place that is packed then a place where there is 2 people. The food coming out looked delicious & helped me make some decisions! Bottles of wine on the tables made me realize it was BYOB. The wait gave my bf time to run to the store. We ordered lobster bisque soup, salad w oranges, escargot, pesto pasta dish w crabmeat, a chicken sausage pasta dish w red sauce & broc rabe, & creme brulee..ALL aamazing! Even if we like a place, we like to try something diff next time, but both agreed that we would come back here again!"

  • "We celebrated with a birthday lunch at Bellini and were not disappointed. The restaurant feels very creative with its mural decor, and the staff was warm and friendly - unpretentious. Our meals were fresh and tasty, just enough food - not too much on the plate. We had a lovely seat in the window and the restaurant was relatively quiet in spite of the number of people there, so we enjoyed our meal even more."

  • "Rating based on lunch at Bellini after a snow storm so it was not busy. Good Restaurant Week lunch menu selection. You didn't get the impression you were getting the not-so-popular or low-rated dishes. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend"
