"After reading Open Table reviews for Bella Trattoria I was expecting a higher caliber restaurant. While the food was OK (pizza was good, gnocchi was not tender and nothing special, carpaccio was very good but overpowered by heaping proportion of arugula) the ambiance was like a dining hall and looked very kid friendly (which is fine if you want that). Our service was just above poor with an inattentive yet personable waiter. I was looking for a nice authentic Italian restaurant with ambiance and this did not deliver."

"The noise level was quiet on Saturday afternoon - but then again the place was almost empty. The food was delicious and fresh and the service was commendable, even given the slow pace of the restaurant. Pricing at lunch was more than affordable considering the quality of food that was served. I noticed they had a weekend brunch menu but elected to try something off the main lunch menu because of the late hour - though the brunch offerings sounded wonderful."

"I had a Valentine's Day dinner here and it was my first time at the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly and quick to fill up water glasses. For a holiday they really had everything organized and I didn't feel rushed at all. There was a pre fixed menu to order from and it had many choices. I really loved the blue crab ravioli dish and the homemade gnocchi. For an appetizer we tried the fried calamari but it was not very good. It was nothing special, you can tell they used just the frozen rings rather than the fresher squid that includes the tentacles. Other than that dish everything else was very tasty."

"Really good food and a nice atmosphere make this a fun place to go for a meal. We've gone many times and will go again. The only suggestions I have are to make the vinagrette dressing on the caprese salad less sweet and to create a warmer, more welcoming atmosphere. For 10 years now I have watched the owner's wife sulk around the bar unhappily, talking to no one except to offer a bitter comment to a server and staring at people as they eat. Other than that, mange!"

"Bella is a good casual spot to grab some decent Italian food with a group of people. We chose to order a pizza for the appetizer - the Pizza Invernale, and it was very good. For the entrees - I ordered chicken parm, and although the portion was huge, I thought that the sauce was lacking flavor. However, my husband ordered the Tortellini Colorati, and it was awesome - the cream sauce with the mushrooms was spectacular!"
