  • "We were staying in Port Angeles for the weekend. this restaurant was so good we ate there twice. Ask for the reserve wine list. The owner is a collector and has some excellent vintages for reasonable prices. The veal marsala was excellent, tender, with some unique but subtle flavors. The Alfredo with shrimp was saucy but not heavy. This is a popular restaurant in a small town. We dined at 7:30 pm but if you plan to dine earlier on a weekend you will need reservations."

  • "Great restaurant in downtown Port Angeles, casual, relaxed atmosphere. We have eaten at Bella Italia many times over the years as we visit the Washington coast or venture over to Victoria. The food is always good to great, well prepared, good to your liking, and portions that leave you full. After appetizers and entrees, not enough room to enjoy dessert this evening. Server was great, explained menu selections well and aided in our meal selection, very friendly. Overall, a nice dining experience. Our experience, this restaurant is always very consistent. Try it, you will return. Worth making a reservation, even then may be a wait as this place is very popular with locals and out of towners alike and fills up early."

  • "We went to Bella Italia for Valentine's Day 2014 hoping for a quiet and romantic dinner. This was our first visit so we did make reservations and everything was orderly and on time. Our immediate observation was that the staff were prompt, friendly, and very thorough and mature. The food was great. I wouldn't say amazing, but the mushroom ravioli was impressive nonetheless. We also ordered the spaghetti with meatballs which is the only part of the meal that did WOW me as it was pretty basic--though my husband liked it despite the price. Overall, I really love the mushroom ravioli and would definitely dine at Bella Italia again!"

  • "We have dined at Bella Italia several times and never been disappointed. The wine list offers a great variety of wines for any menu item. The menu is varied with options for every appetite . We have brought friends to the restaurant and the staff and chef never disappoint. Always greeted with a smile and attentive service. The restaurant is suitable for a nice quiet evening out, a small family gathering, or a romantic celebration.They are a small restaurant so I highly recommend reservations to ensure seating. Whether you want Chicken, Steak, Pasta or seafood, you will not be disappointed. A plus is the vegetables are all from local farmers so they are always fresh. We highly recommend them to friends and fellow travelers."

  • "The mushroom ravioli was ok. The pasta primavera was very sad. It had no flavor. It's so easy to make a good past primavera. It's as if they didn't even try. All they have to do is put some fresh herbs and maybe a few sundried tomatoes and olives and it would improve it 100%."

  • "In making the reservation via OpenTable, I used the "special request" area to say that I love truly authentic Italian-style Spaghetti Carbonara -- not the cream-sauce knockoff frequently found in the USA -- and hoped to have it if on the menu. Well, it is not on the regular menu, but on arrival, we were greeted with the surprising news that the chef had reviewed the week's requests, and had decided to put truly authentic European-style Spaghetti Carbonara onto the weekly-special menu. What a lovely thing to do -- and it was absolutely perfect! There just can't be a better Italian dining restaurant experience than at Bella Italia. Thank you!"

  • "The warm glow inside thankfully offset the November cold outside. Traditional menu of Italian classics, not cheap, but with ample portions, so it's worth the money. Interesting items like rabbit cannelloni. Fantastic balsamic vinegar/olive oil with fresh bread. The place feels romantic but surprisingly kids work well here, too. Lighting on center tables is too dim. Service was good."

  • "After a bad dinner experience the night before, we were still excited but leery on our last stop of the trip. Online reservations with casual dress made for convenience during a road trip, but the subtle elegance made us feel cozy & excited to try a good quality meal. The servers were friendly & hard working. The food did not disappoint at all. Delicious & good amounts. A nice speedier treat on a road trip & very much appreciated.   • "My wife and I visited this place to complete our Twilight experience. We were on our way back to Seattle, coming from Forks. She ordered the mushroom ravioli, of course, and I ordered the duck. Both entrees were delicious - the duck, especially. Service was top notch by everyone, and they were both professional and friendly. It sits in the heart of a beautiful town, and on the inside, it's not too noisy, and also not cramped with tables; it's cozy and romantic."

  • "Absolutely superb service. Lots of personality in the staff, who were both entertaining and helpful about not only the food but also the town. It's visually a great little restaurant: our tiny table was in a cozy little corner looking out over the picturesque main street. The food? Meh. The veal was tough, pale and overdone. Pasta was way too far past al dente. The bland, over-salted and unremarkable marinara sauce seemed to have come directly from a large can. The crab bruschetta failed completely. The over-creamy dressing washed the delicate flavour of the crab away, made the bruschetta difficult to handle, and smeared all the tastes together in a way completely contrary to the fresh, distinct flavours you expect in bruschetta."
