  • "Great little neighborhood restaurant. Went with the bruschetta and steak and my mom got the salmon. Salmon wasn't that great but the steak was amazing!! The charred zucchini might have been my favorite part! I could've had a plate of the zucchini alone and been happy happy! Will visit again."

  • "Being retired my wife and I do not dine out frequently but when we do we want it to be special. Bella Italia is always a favorite. We love the quality of the food and the portions are just right and it is always a most pleasant experience. We also get a kick out of all the tourists that stop by to snap a photo of "Bella Italia" the restaurant of "Twilight" fame!"

  • "Stayed in town for the NODM marathon and came in for pasta. Hubby had pork chop... it was fabulous! I had pasta dish which was also fab! Definitely would go again! Great service, food, and ambiance! Reserved through OpenTable and reservation was easy!"

  • "Nice family-friendly dinner spot in downtown Port Angeles. Perfect place for our pre-marathon dinner! Both pasta and non-pasta dishes were very good. Service was excellent. "

  • "We've been dining there for years. I think it just gets better. We ended up with 2 extra people this visit. Although the place was packed (it was a pre-marathon Saturday evening) & my reservation was for 8, not 10, the bustling but always smiling wait staff didn't break stride (I told them we could go somewhere else if this was too much.) We had to wait perhaps 20 mins (they told us that), but cheerfully rearranged our seating. And they even comped us dessert because we had to wait!! Dinner was delicious! We will always eat at Bella Italia when we're in Port Angeles!"

  • "small neighborhood restaurant; reservations a must on a holiday week end. Excellent food, service was good as they were very busy. Great wine list. Would go back if in the area again. If you like/love REAL italian this is the restaurant for you. YUM Bella Italia!!!!"

  • "The food & the service was amazing! Everyone was so friendly and informative about the specials and wines! We loved it! And if we're ever in the area again we will definitely be coming back!"

  • "We were in the area for my birthday and enjoyed this restaurant 7-8 years ago (pre-Twilight). Saturday night I ordered the veal parmigiana. The meat was tough and fatty and smothered in do much sauce it was hard to find. The veggies weren't just overcooked, they were burnt. They should have compt the entree but offered free desert. Will not return. Service was also slow- waitress had to be flagged several times for things she said she would get. "

  • "What a fun night! Pleasant atmosphere, great food, friendly staff! Everyone loved their on tray. One person felt that the mushroom ravioli was a bit salty but the saltimbucca was killer! The dessert was phenomenal, a work of art!!! The dinner, an all around hit! We definitely will be returning! Thanks for the amazing experience! "

  • "This restaurant has great food and a very friendly staff. The wine list is extensive. Every bottle of wine that we have had there has been excellent. Can't wait to go back."

  • "From the moment we step into the restaurant, the costumer service was wonderful. The food was tasty and well prepared. The steak was tender, delicious, and cook to perfection. The garlic potatoes complemented the tenderness of the steak. It was a nice atmosphere, making the dinning experience very pleasant. You must try the Italian sodas."

  • "The food was excellent but the service was not up to my expectations. We were seated quickly, but the staff kept passing us by, even though we were sitting there with the menus closed. One of our water glasses had a crack in it and the staff didn't notice, even after filling the glass."

  • "I came to Port Angeles for a different change in sceenery with my kids and wanted to experience some Twilight spots as well. I decided to dine at Bella Italia and order the Bella Mushroom Raviloi and it was breathtakingly delicious. My kids had the butter pasta and pizza and those too were mouth watering good. It was warm and welcoming, an overall excellent experience for my kids and me. I will dine here again and recommend the food and service to my friends and family. Thank you Bella Italia for making out last night in Port Angeles complete. "

  • "We were staying in Port Angeles for the weekend. this restaurant was so good we ate there twice. Ask for the reserve wine list. The owner is a collector and has some excellent vintages for reasonable prices. The veal marsala was excellent, tender, with some unique but subtle flavors. The Alfredo with shrimp was saucy but not heavy. This is a popular restaurant in a small town. We dined at 7:30 pm but if you plan to dine earlier on a weekend you will need reservations."

  • "Great restaurant in downtown Port Angeles, casual, relaxed atmosphere. We have eaten at Bella Italia many times over the years as we visit the Washington coast or venture over to Victoria. The food is always good to great, well prepared, good to your liking, and portions that leave you full. After appetizers and entrees, not enough room to enjoy dessert this evening. Server was great, explained menu selections well and aided in our meal selection, very friendly. Overall, a nice dining experience. Our experience, this restaurant is always very consistent. Try it, you will return. Worth making a reservation, even then may be a wait as this place is very popular with locals and out of towners alike and fills up early."

  • "We went to Bella Italia for Valentine's Day 2014 hoping for a quiet and romantic dinner. This was our first visit so we did make reservations and everything was orderly and on time. Our immediate observation was that the staff were prompt, friendly, and very thorough and mature. The food was great. I wouldn't say amazing, but the mushroom ravioli was impressive nonetheless. We also ordered the spaghetti with meatballs which is the only part of the meal that did WOW me as it was pretty basic--though my husband liked it despite the price. Overall, I really love the mushroom ravioli and would definitely dine at Bella Italia again!"

  • "We have dined at Bella Italia several times and never been disappointed. The wine list offers a great variety of wines for any menu item. The menu is varied with options for every appetite . We have brought friends to the restaurant and the staff and chef never disappoint. Always greeted with a smile and attentive service. The restaurant is suitable for a nice quiet evening out, a small family gathering, or a romantic celebration. They are a small restaurant so I highly recommend reservations to ensure seating. Whether you want Chicken, Steak, Pasta or seafood, you will not be disappointed. A plus is the vegetables are all from local farmers so they are always fresh. We highly recommend them to friends and fellow travelers."

  • "The mushroom ravioli was ok. The pasta primavera was very sad. It had no flavor. It's so easy to make a good past primavera. It's as if they didn't even try. All they have to do is put some fresh herbs and maybe a few sundried tomatoes and olives and it would improve it 100%."

  • "In making the reservation via OpenTable, I used the "special request" area to say that I love truly authentic Italian-style Spaghetti Carbonara -- not the cream-sauce knockoff frequently found in the USA -- and hoped to have it if on the menu. Well, it is not on the regular menu, but on arrival, we were greeted with the surprising news that the chef had reviewed the week's requests, and had decided to put truly authentic European-style Spaghetti Carbonara onto the weekly-special menu. What a lovely thing to do -- and it was absolutely perfect! There just can't be a better Italian dining restaurant experience than at Bella Italia. Thank you!"

  • "The warm glow inside thankfully offset the November cold outside. Traditional menu of Italian classics, not cheap, but with ample portions, so it's worth the money. Interesting items like rabbit cannelloni. Fantastic balsamic vinegar/olive oil with fresh bread. The place feels romantic but surprisingly kids work well here, too. Lighting on center tables is too dim. Service was good."

  • "The food was excellent, especially enjoyed the locally-picked mushrooms in the mushroom tortellini. The quality food was enhanced by the attentive service of the wait-staff. This is my favorite place in Port Angeles."

  • "After a bad dinner experience the night before, we were still excited but leery on our last stop of the trip. Online reservations with casual dress made for convenience during a road trip, but the subtle elegance made us feel cozy & excited to try a good quality meal. The servers were friendly & hard working. The food did not disappoint at all. Delicious & good amounts. A nice speedier treat on a road trip & very much appreciated. Thank you staff of port Angeles Bella italia. Recommended you on Facebook & will return."

  • "My wife and I visited this place to complete our Twilight experience. We were on our way back to Seattle, coming from Forks. She ordered the mushroom ravioli, of course, and I ordered the duck. Both entrees were delicious - the duck, especially. Service was top notch by everyone, and they were both professional and friendly. It sits in the heart of a beautiful town, and on the inside, it's not too noisy, and also not cramped with tables; it's cozy and romantic."

  • "Absolutely superb service. Lots of personality in the staff, who were both entertaining and helpful about not only the food but also the town. It's visually a great little restaurant: our tiny table was in a cozy little corner looking out over the picturesque main street. The food? Meh. The veal was tough, pale and overdone. Pasta was way too far past al dente. The bland, over-salted and unremarkable marinara sauce seemed to have come directly from a large can. The crab bruschetta failed completely. The over-creamy dressing washed the delicate flavour of the crab away, made the bruschetta difficult to handle, and smeared all the tastes together in a way completely contrary to the fresh, distinct flavours you expect in bruschetta."

  • "We went to the restaurant because of the great reviews it got on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed!! I thought the most delicious part of the entirely delicious meal was the fresh house-made croutons in my Caesar salad, but it was all great! The atmosphere was warm, welcoming and romantic and we absolutely relaxed and enjoyed our meal."

  • "This is my second visit to Bella Italia - dragged my kids here a few years ago on my own personal Twilight Trip around the peninsula. Was extremely impressed with the food, although the prices are a little "tourist town" high. Received the same excellent service on both trips, and was beyond impressed again with the food (had the Chicken Marsalla!!). The portions are great for the price and there is no shying away from the garlic. Flavor was FANTASTIC!!. My complements to the chef. Was proud to bring my active duty Air Force daughter on this trip around the peninsula before her departure for a three year assignment in Germany. She didn't get to make the last trip with us, and I'm very glad she had a great experience at Bella Italia!!"

  • "We were celebrating our 35th anniversary and even though the hostess wasn't aware of that, she seated us at a cozy corner booth overlooking the street. Best seats in the house as far as we're concerned. The ambience, food, and service were excellent. Actually, the service was exceptional. Thank you for making our evening so pleasant."

  • "We had lasagne and also pork chops and each of us a salad. My salad was a mixed greens which was ok but kind of bitter tasting and the balsamic dressing was a little too oily tasting. Would have been nice to have a choice of dressing. Don't really care about the balsamic dressing. It took a while sometimes to have our water glasses refilled and also our tea glasses refilled. This was our first time there so we don't know how it normally is. Seems like it took a while to get pretty much anything. But, overall nice and romantic."

  • "The staff was friendly, but it took a few minutes for our waitress to warm up to us. The food was okay or better. Prices average for the area. It is a small location, so reservations are a good idea."

  • "Nobody could claim Port Angeles is a foodie destination, which makes Bella Italia all the more extraordinary. Enjoyed a delightful dinner of fresh-caught-that-morning king salmon, and pasta primavera with organic veggies and wild foraged 'shrooms, with attentive service and romantic ambiance. New York's little Italy it's not... but we came to PA to escape that and found something better."

  • "We were seated in the last table which was right next to the kitchen entry/exit. Why put a romantic table for two where servers are running in and out at break speed? You sacrifice the experience of the diners indeed. After seating we were nervously told that they did not have enough menus. Our menus came 15 minutes later. I asked for a glass of wine - the server returned to say she could not find the bottle I requested. Our meal came 45 minutes later with burned vegetables. When the server asked about our food and I pointed out the vegetables we were told that perhaps we didn't like broiled vegetables. These were burned people - inedible, not lightly charred. We sighed, paid the check and will try another place in Port Angeles next time."
