Thank you for such a great meal and memory!5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMA really pleasant experienceI'll admit the main reason we visited Bella Italia was because I'd heard it was supposedly the setting of edward and Bella's first 'date' in the first Twilight book/movie.
But upon arrival in Port Angeles and after checking online reviews, it seemed it was probably a decent restaurant anyway.
It's a nice little place, with friendly staff. The food is delicious, plus the wine list is great - local wines on offer as well as international.
We had pasta and pizza, plus salad. I asked if the tiramisu had a sound coffee flavour, as I've been disappointed with many insipid versions in the past. I was assured by the waitress that it was... And was very pleased.
Overall, a very pleasant meal... The food was as as good as any I grew up eating anywhere in the Napa Valley and for that matter, Northern Californai. The staff is young but very cordial, and the wine list is excellent. The food? We had a great time! All of the staff wore a smile and were very nice. The staff was fantastic and very friendly, even after I had a problem with my expectation of a meal. They made a suitable substitution quickly and without any issues. They also surprised my sister with a candle on her desert. Very discreetly, without embarrassing her. We had a lovely dinner in a beautiful little restaurant.
